1. NEVER use .12s in an AEG of any kind. They'll desintegrate in your gearbox and ruin your gun. also never use 'marking ammo, this will jam up your gun after a few shots. ALWAYS use .20 or heavier bbs.

2. I HIGHLY recommend at least full-seal eye protection(no sunglasses, and prescription glasses don't count)

3. Rules/scenarios vary greatly from group to group. One thing to remember, however: CALL YOUR FREAKIN HITS. This will get you in trouble many ways anywhere if you don't.

If you are new to Airsoft, let me tell you this now: The right BB's are extremely important. Don't ever buy BB's from stores like Dicks or Walmart if you are using a higher end gun. Only use those particular store brand BB's if you are using a store brand Airsoft gun. Cheap BB's can damage you guns internals. Especially if you are using a high-powered gun.

You are SO wrong about bb's. FPS makes no difference. NEVER use .12 gram bbs. .25 and above are the best. Also never use crosman bb's. They will shatter in your gun a destroy you gearbox, piston, air nozzle, hop up, hop up bucking, and etc.

@AirTrooperStudios using crosman voids the warranty on your guns, and if the problem in your gun is a jammed crosman bb or broken apart crosman bb most local shops will refuse to repair it simply becuase in that instance you are to blame. crosman bb's have a seam in them, pro grade bbs do not. the reason being becuase if the piston head hits the bb square on the seam they will fracture and splinter apart, fouling the gears and other parts of the gun. pro grade bbs ahve no seem and prevent that..

4. an airsoft gun usaully thats under the price of $100 arent usually the best of quality. I Highly recommend getting the G&G combat machine or the elite force m4 but please pay attention to the description of the gun you are purchasing because not all guns come with a battery and charger. You can also find reviews on these guns from a lot of professionals all over youtube but if you get bored then its probably not a very good preview.

3. sunglasses should NEVER be used as eye protection. Although they cover most of your eyes they don't protect them completely. you only get one set of eyes and you should protect them to the best of your ability. FULL SEAL googles should be used at the minimum and most fields require them regardless of age.
