I had the pleasure of seeing Svetlana dance live, and although she is one of the most exquisite dancers alive, I find her size very distracting. She just looks so thin, even for a ballet dancer. It's absolutely incredible how much strength and flexibility she has though. It's just my personal preference, but I enjoy watching more athletic physiques such as Polina Semionova and Misty Copeland.

Beautiful, devastating, fierce, passionate and scary. She falls but she gets up. She frightened but she's strong. I really don't have any words. If such a thing as "perfect" exists, Svetlana is pretty damn close to it.

But that audience is lame. Have a little more enthusiasm, people! They're so robotic they're almost clapping in time with each other.

The audience really pissed me off. There she was, finished with such an emotional and heartwrenching piece, and you're just going to sit there and brood around instead of standing up and clapping like madmen? Gaaah. And that second to last applause for that chair scene sorta dampened my mood too.

She really took me on a powerful and emotional journey.

there is some audio that is audible at a very low snr in this clip. with my good headphones on I can hear it perfectly. what is it... maybe this video was recorded on physical tape that was reused?

WOW in my had Svetlana Zacharova was a pure classical dancer, yes yes "In the Middle..." for me is still more or less classical, it is on pointe and classical technique (say what you want, it is my opinion) but here CLEARLY she shows she is a truly talented dancer, really using her upper body and breath. BEAUTIFUL! Hat off once again to Svetlana Zacharova!!!
