  • This seems like a lifetime ago now! Rick and Dave have moved out. If you get a chance check out The Squire Circle, Dave Moores's new band - saw them last night in Camber and have a couple of vids to host. The have original tracks (new album is out), and live at events like Scooter Rallies throw in the odd covers ie The Who, Clash ... :)

  • Just as raw sounding and direct as the original Jam, weve covered this tune , cheers for posting this /The Booze Brother's!!.....

  • Bruce Foxton was way underrated in terms of his importance to The Jam. I dunno why people are slaggin the few songs he wrote, either. Smithers-Jones and News of the World are up there on the list of Jam songs to me. He was also a great addition to Stiff Little Fingers. I'd love to see From The Jam, because it'd be the closest I'll ever get to seeing the 'real thing' and you can see right here how tight they play. Weller's an amazing talent but it's not their fault he doesn't want in.

  • Weller was the Jam! END OF!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Are you for real, or on a wind up ?

Bruce is a grest bass guitarist, who added loads to the Jam., especially live. Its not just about who wrote the songs you know !

  • Name any great song written by the dreadfuI Bruce Foxton?

My favourite is 'Iondon traffic' - a song any 5 year couId have written.

No wonder WeIIer caIIed it a day.

Keep pIaying those WeIIer tunes oId son coz he needs the money.

  • The "new" Jam is actually tighter live than the old version. But without the Weller songwriting it's just a nostalgia act. Bruce wrote a handfull of good songs in 5-6 years with the Jam. You never know, maybe he built up enough for a new album?

I enjoy SOME of Paul Weller's post Jam work, maybe 20% of the songs, but he strikes me as a little full of himself and serious as a heart attack, which can be off-putting. I think he'll one day regret his attitude toward the band.

  • Don't get me wrong Weller is talented but you can't go on being an angry young man at his age.Remember Paul be nice to those on the way up cos you don't know who you might need on the way down.

Talent paves the streets and lanes of this globe if your lucky enough to lift your head above all others treasure it don't PI** on it.

  • HOW TRUE mate. This track is as good as I remember The Jam doing it - certainly one of my favourite covers they did.

  • It's very simple!

Weller can't do sod all about "from the Jam"it's past the 25year copyright time and the other guys are doing Ok with Weller's music.I personally would love to see "from the Jam really expand out into new audiences with new material ...good on you Bruce and Rick!!!!!Alls fair in love and War and let's face it, the Musick ,sorry Music Industry is a bloody war-zone- Weller himself was Butt***ed by Polydor some years back much to his surprise.

  • saw the jam 50 odd times then went to granada in spain to see fromthejam nothing changed still the best live band ive ever seen

  • Wattsie, How great is OUR band? It's like 1979 all over again.

    Thanks for posting this.

There's an army of Jam fans out there still!

  • I feel sorry for the Jam fans who are too proud to see FTJ because Weller isn't in attendance as they really are missing out - yet WE are having the best of both worlds - FTJ and Weller solo!

  • weller was always in his own world but foxton held them together and he was superb in slf he was the bollox in the jam weller just fucked about, great tunes though!!
