What a fantastic footballer, my all time favourite. A real footballer's footballer, talented and humble. And boy could he score goals. The '95 Jari could fit into the current Barca team no problem, he really didn't have many weaknesses in his game. Injuries robbed us of what should have been his prime, but no matter - he was fantastic.

Mee eens, behalve dat Twente dan de rivaal van Ajax zou zijn. Een rivaal is iemand die je al tijden dwarszit. En Twente doet nog maar sinds kort steeds mee om het kampioenschap. De rivaal van Ajax is nog altijd Feyenoord ookal draait Feyenoord nu minder. Niettemin steekt Twente nu beter in elkaar dan Ajax.

I'm Irish and love Ajax, '95 were the best team ever, period. Jari was the star. Van der Saar, Riezeger, Blind,F. De Boer, Bogarde, Riijkaard, Davids, Seedorf, Overmars, R. De Boer & Litmanen. Also the likes of Kanu, Kluivert & George.....They were the days, I'm probably forgetting some others too. Remind me folks. Winning 2-5 vs Munich in Germany was when I fell in love with football. 2-0 vs Real at the Bernabeau was one of the greatest performances I ever saw too, should have been 10!. Great!

I just happened to watch a short compilation of Finland-Germany world cup qualification game from last autumn. Litmanen played 86 minutes and when he was substituted Finland was leading 1-0.
