  • nutz

  • I remember that noise, in my house watching the water flow in slowly

  • That so freakin cool

  • That is undeniably some of the absolute best hurricane footage i've ever seen! You can hear the winds screaming!

  • They should use this footage in a horror movie.

  • HOLY FUCKING COW THATS AWESOME!

  • very nice vid!

  • Yeah thats funny how you guys are so calm I would be flipping the hell out!

  • That is so fucking intense.

  • cool my name is ivan

  • go outside!

  • i had funnn in that hurricane!hjahaha

  • I was there a year after the hurricane and the damage was still pretty bad in some areas. We went to the turtle farm and then to Rum Point

  • it is still here man

  • one more thing some of you might have noticed that we had power during the storm. That building is a telecommunications building and has on of the best generators on the island.

  • what do you think the sustained winds were at that time?

  • I think 100mph maybe 110mph, if it was 160 there is no way in hell that building would be there, they didnt get a DIRECT hit, but got extreemly close to the eye wall.

  • The island is very small and the airport recorded SUSTAINED winds of 150mph, which is one of the strongest sustained wind readings I know of from a hurricane in the Atlantic. I don't know the islands geography, but it's small so I will assume that no part of the island avoided sustained winds of 125mph to 130mph, so gusts to 160mph are not crazy. Buildings on the Cayman islands are much more used to high winds than in the US. But yes, the winds visible in this clip may be only 100mph.

  • HOLY SHIZZLE is that water in the building??

  • please post more you have me hooked

    5/5

  • by the way this was the leeward side of the building. Winds were far worse on the other side. I'll post some more soon.

  • Wow.. cant wait for the rest of the footage to be posted.
