  • We need the fairness act again, if radio wanna only play the same 5 songs everyday they should get taxed, fined, billed, and pay restitutution for limiting all music genres 2 commercial music only theres alota good music out there but radio refuse to support diversity. black radio is even worst its segragated they only play ignorrant dumb down music we are more diverse in the hip hop community and radio just wont show diversity, we just here the same ol shit. Where is the good music?not radio!

  • @Mastafilmworks wfte.org

  • Radio stations will face the fate of Free TV. Everyone was "ENCOURAGED" (by practically eliminating free TV) to go to cable or Satellite since government could tax the user. Government gets a fat cut out of that tax.. Radio Stations should pick out just one of these publishers and charge them for promoting their label. Watch how fast the bureucrats change their minds! Ron Noonan-I support the radio stations on this one-I'M embarrassed that 2 legislators from TN support this-

  • In this ad, the radio stations are arguing that the record companies are "spoiled rotten crybabies" for charging them performance fees that will [presumably] go to the "artists", but where was radio when the RIAA was imposing heavy fines and bringing lawsuits down on housewives and children for downloading free music off the internet?

  • NOT THAT ANYONE CARES ABOUT FACTS ANYMORE, BUT THE BILL was introduced by Senator Patrick Leahy (D-VT), Orrin Hatch (R-UT), Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), Bob Corker (R-TN), and Barbara Boxer (D-CA); and in the House by Representative John Conyers (D-MI), Howard Berman (D-CA), Darrell Issa (R-CA), Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), Jane Harman (D-CA), John Shadegg (R-AZ), and Paul Hodes (D-NH)......NOTICE IT WAS BI-PARTISAN!

  • I think the Goverment should leave Radio alone and shut down Illegal file-sharing sites like Limewire and requiure everyone pay for their music then the record labels and musicians will get their damn money

  • Obama says its time to "Share the wealth". This form of Liberal Media should be happy to pay it. The Liberal Media reminded us during election time it is the right thing to do. Joe the Plumber was laughed at when the Republicans tried to warn us. The Radio industry, NAB, and various state broadcast organizations endorsed, supported, and helped put these left wing wackos into office.Shouldn't it be PATRIOTIC to pay taxes? That's what we were told by the Liberal Media. Shut up and pay it.

  • The Performance Tax Bill says radio stations all across the country should pay royalties to record labels to play music. What does that mean for you? Basically your favorite radio stations will stop playing music and many will go away because we cant afford this.

  • Radio is on the decline anyway. Why would I want to listen to radio for music? I can load up 2,000 songs on my $20.00 Mp3 player and listen commerical free. Besides my local radio station isn't doing much anymore for local news, The school e-mails and text messages me with school closings, there are so many other weather sources that deliver me information better and faster, why should I sit and wait 45 minutes to hear a Sunday forecast that was recorded on Friday night? Radio sucks ass anyway.

  • i AGREE HOW MANY TIMES DO YOU NEED TO HEAR THE SAME SHIT THEY HAVE BEEN PLAYING FOR 25 YEARS ANYWAY?And when it comes to helping new artist, bullshit. They work with the record labels to keep out new music the way they always have and now their help is no longer needed.Boo Whoo

  • You my friend are an idiot if you don't have children please get an vasectomy if you do have children lets hope the they don't learn by you lack of example
