@SuRihtanil I have a 1.7 on my 04 GT and its running at 8lbs now. The 9lb kit needs to be intercooled and its recommended you build the bottom end if you go with more boost. A stock 2 valve engine can support 450hp or so. As long as you dont beat on it all the time you should be ok with stock at 9lbs.

@0mfgitzBiafor3 if you look on KB's website they have the whole price list of everything. for a GT in that price range you'd end up spend as much if not more on the supercharger than you would on the car. there's no way i'd recomend a kid supercharging a mustang GT for his first car... its kinda like having someone hand you a loaded gun, tell you to point it at your face and pull the trigger. you'd end up killing yourself haa. no driving experience + 390whp car= NOT GOOD
@person3213 a 1.7 would run you about 3k. a 2000 mustang GT with around 80-100k miles is about 10k. thats roughly a 7k difference. and it is definitely worth it. 390 whp is a lot easier to control than you think. most luxury cars come with around 300-350hp nowadays. If you think handling 390whp in a mustang is hard then please get off the road

@atlanticblue98 it is crazy balls. that 96 cobra you have on your profile is 250 probly at the wheel tops. 400 at the wheel is easily a mid 12 sec car. thats insane for a street car. especially for a 2v.
@randumbuller my cobra should make 270-ish. it isnt fast, never claimed it to be. and mid 12's aren't exactly the bee's knees. this guy's car should be able to pull off a pretty consistent high 11 if he has a higher stall converter and some DR's. if 400 is crazy balls to you, i'd love to see you ride in any of the street cars around here

Don't let anyone fool you about the auto. It is much stronger than the manuals of those years. It is a 4R70W and I have seen them running 9s with a shift kit and laughing. Nice setup btw. I ran a 99 GT auto into the high 10s on the bone stock longblock so I know these cars well. MM&FF did an article on my car and me in 04/02 of the 10.92 pass on the bone stock longblock 4.6 2V on 93 octane. All it needs is a Stallion Converter, shift kit or J-mods and it will handle a great deal of power.

@Imastud69 No you cant just buy the blower alone. Youll need an entire new fuel system; injectors,pump, high flow filter etc. And it will need to be tuned once you get that put in. And its also highly reccomended that you get get NGK iridium(2 steps colder) spark plugs too.

Kenne Bell is a company that makes twin screw superchargers for many models of vehicles. When you see the engine shot in this video, look at the big square thing in the middle/top of the engine. That whole thing is the supercharger, and it runs off of the pullie's

@what9612 hey what all do you need for the supercharger to work? I was thinking about getting one for my 03 gt but don't have $4000 to spend on a whole kit. Can you buy just the supercharger alone and run it or do you have to buy the kit?

@Imastud69 No you cant just buy the blower alone. Youll need an entire new fuel system; injectors,pump, high flow filter etc. And it will need to be tuned once you get that put in. And its also highly reccomended that you get get NGK iridium(2 steps colder) spark plugs too.

Kenne Bell is a company that makes twin screw superchargers for many models of vehicles. When you see the engine shot in this video, look at the big square thing in the middle/top of the engine. That whole thing is the supercharger, and it runs off of the pullie's
