Quebec is one of the best Provinces in Canada where ever the French go there make it a great and tastful why because the are amazing for doing so much with so little. People are over the world admire the French the Romans praise the Francks compared to any other cultures in Europe.

• I speak 3 languages very well, and I am for the protection of the French language in Quebec. HOWEVER, I am born with English as my mother tongue and the lingual terrorism in Quebec against the anglo community is rampant. The hate the French harbor for the English is rediculous. I had an employer at the Brick here in Montreal, Quebec rip in front of a couple employees, 1 that I knew, my C.V. 3 guess's why he did it... cause it was in English. People on the bus call me out... it's a problem.

  • Where do you live in Montreal... because where I live many people can't serve me properly in French and when I worked in Wal-Mart Jean-Talon my co-workers could barely speak French and said Hi instead of Bonjour. I ask a girl to serve me in French and she said she couldn't. Also, I once served a customer, who was insulted because I served him in French. I don't think English people have it harder... it's just a perpetual war but I stopped fighting and just practice both languages.

  • @o0Marilyn0o I'm in Tetroville near Anjou, one of the most French centered areas in Montreal. I don't think people should get angry if they aren't served in the language they know best but try to find a means. The problem I get is from the uneducated people in my hood. They call me out in public and when I approach them to ask them why they just say 'decolice du quebec' sry but my spelling is horrible. I love the fact that I can communicate 3 ways but to some not all it's evil.

  • Lol you're funny xD

  • So many videos for just one boy, people from the other side of the atlantic ocean haven't anything better to do ? nevertheless, Joyeux Noël à tous ,bonne année 2012 et meilleurs voeux :)

  • brillant !merci beaucoup.

  • Bravo !!!!! Great (or Grand) Video !!! A good lesson !! Une bonne leçon !!!

  • I love you so damn muuuuuuch <3 XD

  • @LuckyB1990 Lastly,I don't see how we become the same as Americans (not that I want to desperately differentiate Canada from the US). Apparently, the path of history is different. The background(French, Spanish) is different. The geography, the healthcare, the custom/traditions, units & symbols are all different. And what's so wrong even if we're pretty much the same as Americans, as long as there's freedom, joy, and prosperity. Remember? we're living in the 21st century.

  • @LuckyB1990 Don't be so sure that you can't change something that you don't want in "your country". You're not alone on that. I'm living in Ontario but I care much more about fellow Quebecers than a single lady who's not even living in the country. I don't want to have the "luxury" of offshore monarchy especially when it's hurting some of our "fellow Canadians". Our generation has the power to end the monarchy and build the country, our country, Canada, together.

  • @LuckyB1990 Every country has an ugly side in the history, and the brutal English rule over French was the one of Canad. And, Bill 101 is exactly the same thing, but the reverse. If the history of English rule wasn't that ugly and discriminatory, people of Quebec might not have desperately made Bill101, and just, without troubles, spoke English with fun and joy, like hundreds of millions of Americans learned English and freely happily lived their lives in the US. It's a mere language after all.

  • am i really welcome?

  • @LuckyB1990 I love Quebec, I love Ontario, and I love Canada. l will learn French as my 4th language even if it turns out to be completely useless in my life. Let me be straight forward and honest with you. How about abolishing the British Monarchy which is an apparent/ undeniable humiliation for French descendants in Canada, and also abolish the discriminatory backfiring laws like Bill 101 at the same time? Wouldn't that be called a true win-win for all of "Canada" by the future generation?

  • @LuckyB1990 Why do we speak English? Is it because the name says ENGL_ish? Is it because we who live in North America are all from England or descendants of English people? Do we speak English because we're loyal to an island nation across the ocean much more than this land called Canada?? We speak English because it is the "communication" language of this country, and of the continent of North America. Because it is the tool for all of us to live closer, fully understanding one another.

  • @skyscraper03 Answers:

Is it because we who live in North America are all from England or descendants of English people?

No, the first settlers of what is now Canada were the French, hence the name "New France".

[...]the reasearches i made on wikipedia and google[...]

Wikipedia is not a valid resource, therefore, not citable, and Google is a search engine, you'd have to be more specific about your sources for credibility's sake.

IMHO, as a bilingual, I'd have to say that the English speaking...

  • @skyscraper03 portion of Canada has always repressed the French and tried to assimilate the language. THAT is why Bill 101 was set up, to protect the French language..

  • @punknotdead34 English trying to assimilate Quebec, French trying to assimilate the rest of Canada.. Okay, let's say it's true these thoughts are in some people's mind. However, I believe the first thing that we should value in this country is Freedom. Give them Freedom. Abolish Bill 101, and in the future never make a law like Bill 102 (English only law) or Bill 103(Inuktitut only) law. History of the land is written by all of them, and give them the freedom and equal rights that they deserve.

  • @punknotdead34 And let me conclude. I think "Canadian" people should be welcomed in any province in "Canada" whether if he/she is French or English, whether Asian or Indian. And they need to be respected and should not be restricted by any language or culture restriction law. Let there be Freedom, and let them be respected and shape Canada "together". Too boring not to have a law? I would rather make laws to fine people who insult/ offend the other language or culture, and the equality& freedom.

  • @skyscraper03 i agree 100%

  • @LuckyB1990 But my question is what is the point of keeping that 2% french population by the discriminatory and inhuman law? And especially when the transition can be as smooth as the flow of history by the freedom of choice not by a radical person like Hitler or Stalin? Should we have kept 10% german speaking population, 8% Italian speaking population, 9% Irish population and 3% Chinese population so on? And North America is just patches of provinces speaking different languages from the world?

  • But what I'm saying here is we should still be considerate to the people who are not able to use the language FULLY and feel COMPLETELY comfortable because of the ability. I believe that is why Ontario's official language is English AND French while the French speaking population is much lower in % than Quebec's English speaking population. That is cool. Language restriction laws like You must speak/read/get educated in English in Ontario isn't so cool in my opinion, the same goes for Quebec.

  • Your language is the legacy of the older generation of Quebec. If they didn't set up laws like Bill 101 in the 70s, you would probably be speaking English much better than now, and with the great ability to freely use the language, you won't need to or won't even know why you need to stress yourself out and waste your energy against some (English) language. Because it does not matter to you. Because language is not a big deal in terms of culture anymore in the 21st century other than the sound.

  • @LuckyB1990 Everytime I get an informing document about election or taxation from the provincial government of Ontario I see French as much as English there. You can of course get your elementary/high school educations in French if you want to in Ontario; There are many French schools. But It is not in Quebec. All official documents are written only in French, and educations (before post secondary) must be done in French. I think that disgraces and weakens Quebec itself. Because I love Quebec..

  • @LuckyB1990 Of course I respect you :) Is it a discrimination if I honestly say I respect Quebec people much more than French people from France or Russians? (Obviously Yes I guess), but anyway it is just the language thing as a tool of communication, and I think we should be all bilingual officially, and laws like YOU SHOULD SPEAK FRENCH or ENGLISH must be abolished. We're living in the 21st century. It is shame if Canada is forcing it's people to be a certain way, don't you think?

  • @LuckyB1990 If you google it or go to a website like Wikipedia, you'll see that the Province of Ontario's official languages are actually English & French, while Province of Quebec is French only and it even seems to have some laws set up to forbid the elementary & secondary educations in English. If you actually live in Ontario, you'll see provincial government's documents including health card and so on, written in both English and French.

  • @LuckyB1990 Hi, I speak English as my third language, and have a plan to learn some French. :) I know about 20 words in French like Je t'aime, Merci beaucoup, Bienvenue au Canada. I automatically saw and memorised them since I settled in Canada. (I didn't even know a single word in French before)..

  • Make me a baby a baby Chris!!!

  • I LOVE YOU YOU ARE AMAZING!!! french is a wonderful language. It is freaking rare too.. so thank you for saying that! :) and your accent is really cute <3

  • you are the man of my life ! You rock

  • You're awesome !! :)

  • you're amzing chris. while I've watching this video you make me smile. If everyone in canada would be like you that should be amazing! thumb up if you think the same :D

  • Ontario's official language is English and French now. Quebec's official language is French and French only.

  • I can be federalist if all English Canadian are like you

  • Google : - " Why study French " and click on the first website (30 november 2009) - " about[dot]com French words and expressions in English", click on the first website too.

  • According to a demographic projection led by the Université Laval and the Réseau Démographie de l'Agence universitaire de la francophonie, French will be represented by approximately 500 million people in 2025 and by 650-700 million people, or approximately eight-percent of the world's population in 2050. English will be represented by approximately five-percent of the wolrd's population in 2050.

  • can i be the president of your fanclub. ur awesome

  • you should be our future prime minister of canada :) . I'm from montreal and I would vote for you. you have no idea how much I HATE to see people discriminate against other races. I'm proud to be quebecker, french canadian and canadian, but when I see people discriminate us it makes me sooo angry, and I think it's a normal reaction :)

  • @juliewtc lol wut?

  • The french are trying to take over canada. Do your research.

  • @DofS1 @Kevinsufacation @kevinofangloquebec @thedidim @DofSproductions

Hey retarded, if there was a conspiracie from Quebec to take over Canada, we would have known. Quebecers have given the power to the Liberals 8 years ago. Since then, the anglos dismembered the city of Montréal and raised a campaign to abolish bill 101. In Ottawa, we have voted federalist for the first time in nearly 20 years. Now Ottawa wants to reduce the representation of Quebec in the house of commons.

  • @UneILEuneVille

That is because Quebec has fascist laws.

  • @Kevinsufacation " Quebec has facist laws " but you cant say why... are you aware of the laws in Ontario ? and in the rest of Canada ? maybe you just dont care in this case, you can keep acting like the others closed-mindeds of your community who screame but dont say much that pictures les deux solitudes If you want to live in English, you have to move outside Québec because our langage laws are going to change soon we will reinforce Bill 101 for Québec`s sake
  • @UneILEuneVille

They are fascist because it limits the rights and freedoms who arn't French.

  • @Kevinsufacation

    So Ontario has fascists laws.

    Manitoba has fascist laws.

    Saskatchewan has fascists laws.

    Alberta has fascists laws.

    C-B has fascists laws.

    Nouvelle-Ecosse has fascists laws.

    Terre-Neuve has fascists laws.

  • @Kevinsufacation no, they only want theyre country. THEY DONT GIVE A SHIT ABOUT CANADA. putain on est pas comme vous pourquoi on pourrait pas avoir notre pays.

  • yeah boy you rock!!!

  • cant believe i'm still watching this vid again... but this is too awesome xD

  • Good video, and you're really good in front of the camera (:

    From Quebec!

  • Man, you think like everyone in Quebec and like everyone should think in the intire canada. You Rock dude!

  • You don't really look good man :S

  • Vive le Québec caliss!

  • awesome :P

  • great

  • As a french canadian and a Quebecer, I'm happy that you use youtube for such a good message. If everyone would think like you the bilingualism in Canada could be easy.

N.B.: Some Quebecer are far more stupid than the kid from the video

  • Thank you! I love it! Merci ! Much love from Montreal, Quebec! :)

  • Love it. J'adore.

  • hahahhaahha yeah you rock man! Lots of love from QUEBEC xox :)

  • tu es mon idole :O merci d'être là ! :)

  • This guy just oçpwned.

  • thx for that hearthwarming message!!!! its in moments like that i truly believe we french and english people will somehow always get along what ever are the differences! =D

  • And an other thing that must be known...If I dont count the 50age and up...Every single person here in Québec did, learned, learns or knows English.

I dont know what's the % of people in the English provinces that learned,

learns or knows French but i'm pretty sure there's not alot vs all of the Québec Province...that learned, learns or knows English

  • And you'll be welcome when you'll come in our COUNTRY, Québec.

  • Tu es adorable! <3

Thank you for doing this video, lot's of love from Montreal!

I agree with you, let's get along and learn from each others by speaking in english et en français!

  • You made me feel better about me being a Quebecker :) Thanks bro :D My 1st languange is French but I'm bilingual (I play a lot of video games in English since I was a kid and sometimes watches movies in English so yea, I use English a lot).

  • I love this guy. Im french -like from france- and i LOVE this guy :)

  • canada is an english country with 1 french province,an mabey not even that much, learning french is a waste of brain space

  • @onezeero1 Learning new things is never a waste for your brain. Drooling on your couch while surfing between crappy tv shows (that probably come from the USA) on your remote with chip-stained fingers, on the other hand...

Also, it seems with your worry of reaching the limit of your brain capacity, you have missed a lot of information about the prevalence of French in many different provinces, probably yours included.

  • I love your video man, pretty classy of you to prove your point without putting yourself to his level. And just so you guys know, french people also want and are capable of learning another language, to prove me right, i moved to Toronto just to learn english. Canada rocks, thank you man

  • Dude you should make more videos!

  • @fluffyiscute111 A new video? Done & Done! Check out my channel. :)

Quebec loves you too, I'm happy that finally an Ontarian likes Quebec people. I think this rivality between our two provinces is just stupid, we need to be strong together and make a better Canada everyday.

You're awesome !!!! Thank you for that !

  • I love you!!!!

  • LUV YOU!!! :D

    Je T'AIME :D

  • Tx !!

  • wow you look really gay

  • Merci de supporter Québec, thanks for supporting Quebec ;)

  • vaseline and rubik's cube ... fail

  • It was so nice to meet you in Parc Laurier today! We may not have been 100 like MugiwaraOssan said (... actually, it was supposed to be a surprise), but it was definitely an awesome moment. I hope you enjoy the rest of your stay.

(I wonder how long it's gonna take for the autograph on my chest to wash off...)

  • Thanks alot for coming to parc Laurier today ! You're simply the coolest ever :D

Hope to see you back soon ^^

  • thank you so much. I'm from Québec, and I learned English at school. I consider myself bilingual, and it's such a relief. I can get better jobs, better salary, just because I can converse with customers in 2 languages. I met a few people from all over Canada in a youth programm called Rencontres Historica Encounters. 90 young canadians, 1 week, Terry-Fox Center, Ottawa. They were as amazed as you are by french words. This just made my day, by reminding me some great memories.

  • Merci

  • You came to our school (Arthur Voaden) last week and spoke, and even joined our third period french class. I am very glad you stood up for all of the french-canadiens, including myself. It's amazing to see people still care now in days! Thank you SO SO much!

  • @cheerleadernicci c'était un plaisir pour moi!!

  • Yes sir tabarnak !

  • i just opened a package of old cheese fort at home and laughed my ass off like a creep bastard.

  • québécoise and proud to be :D i love you :P

  • J'aime ton point de vue :)

  • I was born as a french speaker in Quebec, and now I speak both french and english. I'm glad to see french people aren't the only ones trying to learn a second language. I always thought english people were ''bitching'' on us, Quebecois, all the time. So I thank you for giving me hope to see, one day, an even better Canada, that we already founded together.

  • I want to like this video a million times :D Je t'aime ♥♥♥

  • I worship you so much right now! I'm french and live in the exact same area as this guy. so, to see his video today really upset me. Thank god you're there to show your love for both languages :)

  • Je t'aime!

I love when you speak french <3 ;)

  • you are awesome lol

  • I love you. Je t'aime!

  • We certainly need more people like you...if only everyone would think this way....Canada would truly be ONE. It's hilarious the number of anglophones who say "Quebec should separate from the rest of Canada!". "All you do is take our tax money!" Funny thing is, I'm not sure how much of an advantage it would be for you guys...do you have any idea how large a part in Canada doesn't pay taxes? So there would be even less taxpayers to support Canada...just my .02Ç

  • vive montreal!!!!!!!!!!! je t'aime toi! :P im a québécoise and im proud to be :D

  • Very nice video. I am very happy to see a guy from Toronto very proud to have a country with two officials languages. Go ahead if you like to learn french! It's hard but it's amazing language. (more language you spoke, more country you can visit, more things you will knows...)
