Saw them live on the Real Ramona tour in Newcastle Riverside in the UK and they were just incredible; the drummer in particular was just amazing like some kind of industrial machine . I think I had ringing in my ears for about a week after the gig. Brilliant
Is it just me or did Tanya provide the inspiration and drive in every band she joined? Seems like Kristin and others really had Tanya to thank for the unique quality of the music.
Actually, I know I'm in a minority but I think it's Dave pushing through the drums and Fred on the Bass. It just makes the song felt rather than heard.
I think if i had to pick one and only one group to listen to ever again, it would be TM. 20 years of listening to them and I still get goosebumps. Killer.
Kristin is such a genius that sometimes its easy to overlook what a sonic contribution Tanya made to the Muses. She really shines here. What a combination they were!
This song is just so ridiculously intense...and immense fun as well. What's amazing that it sounds almost as good here as on The Real Ramona; especially that HUGE pounding groove of the rhythm track -
Thank you a thousand times for this, must be my favourite Throwing Muses track out of so many fantastic songs. The interplay between the guitars, Kristens unique voice and the wonderfully relentless drumming is superb.
Yeah i'd agree with that... people who love great, innovative songwriters will (or should) know Kristin's work.
I'd say the same of people like Lou Barlow, Billy Janovitz and Ken Andrews... underated and even unknown to many people, but all equally amazing in their own way.
Too good. Makes my hair stand on end.

@speedyspooley a really great bassist, although Leslie and Bernie are also great. You could really feel him on this and Ellen West.

er... you mean Peer Gynt Morning Mood? LOL, "viciously twanging"

It's Tanya who plays that part, not Kristin -
