Yeah, I love Mercury Rev, but in concert, Jonathan Donahue can stare into the crowd... or he did so in Dallas, and creeped me the fuck out. But they're friends with the Flaming Lips. All down-to-Earth folk, I'm sure.
Yep! :-) I found him out at Rock City, Nottingham once - the crowd just felt really happy and suddenly his face broke out into the sweetest smile in the midst of doing the Enigmatic and Wounded thing...
