  • Learn the truth about Red light repairs on your Xbox! and learn how I plan on Giving away over $1,000,000.00 in Cash and prizes!!! And then I will be telling everyone a nasty little secrets that Microsoft purposely withheld from the public! That reduced your game systems life by as much as 75%! And how sonny the makers of the PS3 are guilty of the same thing.

  • works for some and not for others. I am an unlucky one. What bothers me are 2 things: 1. the heatsinks are getting hot, and 2. the fan doesn't go on. This is all on top of the 3 red lights still flashing.

  • I did all the steps and still 2 light blinking.

  • why put it all back together before you even know it works yet

  • hey all

I wanted to post something that might save the few pennies to fix your xbox. if you dont know, you have to buy screws and washers to follow along the videos you see out there on Youtube. So i started thinking, what if you bend the braces further to create more resistance on the clips? So i followed this video but when it came to attached the screws i bent the clips more then they where and put them back on and completed the video. It worked. i have green lights. lets see 4 how long.

  • lol in 2:17 min he just talking about how u musat be cerafule with screwdryver ,so u dont damage the motherboard, haha watch him, he stab the motherboard hahahahaha :D

  • it didnt work for me =/

  • thanks for sharing the videos, I got my xbox up and going again.

  • wow it really works respect for you

  • whats the point of tightening the bolts after you over heat it? why not just do that before

  • because as metal cools it shrinks.

  • @Mrgamer4 because when it heats up, it expands. So tighting it forces a tighter fit.

  • @Mrgamer4 the heat makes the metal expand, when cool it shrinks, for tighter fit

  • why do you tighten the screws after it heats up

    ?

  • @ryancaseydotcom

I think its to push the chip in better to the solder, thats the point at least of the over heating to resolder the GPU.

I got told to heat it for 20 mins though and to tighten it fully beforehand it works but i can see why this was done that way.

  • hi i Folloowed all of your steps and waited up to 5 mins and still have 3 red lights please help me!

  • @xxbassmasterxx what you wanna do is plug ur fan in and have it over the CPU heasink and turn it on for 20 mins, then the GPU will resolder itself

  • ive tried this exactly before then wen i test it it goes back to 3 red lights dont understand i made sure evrything was plugged back in

  • my brick light is orange- i don't get two lights and it is not heating up after 30 minutes

  • Yeah, it was shot. Bought it refurbished. ;) looked inside all the work was already done, so it was screwed and unfixable. I cut my finger opening the dam case too. Waste of my blood. xD

  • I cut in my fingers too bloody shit ^^ xD

  • aye man thanks a lot!... i went to lowes picked up the parts.. got evrything... came home.. and went to work... thanks to you this was a rally easy fix... this is my first xbox 360 mod and i hoping to do more in he future =]

  • it worked for me, thx dude!

  • Thanks man...I followed your instructions and it worked. However, I didn't have to cook, when i turn it on the first time. I had all green lights!!! So i just tighten the screws on motherboard and reassembled. I also used the credit card tip and did not smear the artic 5.

I used the following hardware from Lowes.

    - 8 M5-.80 x 10 Machine Screws #138433

    - 16 #10 Flat Washers Nylon #139065

    - 16 5mm Flat Washers Metal #138319

You are a life saver. Way to go. I'm a woman and this was easy!

  • I'm sorry, but what are the Washers and Screws for? I did not hear OR see him use any of them throughout the video. All his videos are relatively quiet.... =*(

  • They're to distribute the weight. make sure the motherboard doesn't flex and unsolder the GPU chip.

  • thanks for all the videos you put up on this, this really helped me out big time. So far everything has been working.
