You have to have the Colonist background.

@DanceFreakHannah you got to have the colonist background for this to happen, just like spacers gets to help a traumatized soldier that their mother is in command of and earth-born backgrounds meet someone from their old gang that wants help getting a friend out of jail.

It's a background story, so pick the background where your character survived a raid before joining the military.

Keep in mind it's different from the psychological profile "survivor".

Yes, you have to have a different background, this one is for Colonist. Spacer and Earthborn also have their own unique assignments.
