@bgieho Look how small the area of land is in Israel and Palestine. The Israeli military bases are also in the centre of cities. In both cases, they were built where they could be built and are always next to important buildings. Further to this, although it may be true, Israel has so far not provided PROOF that the Palestinians are using civilian shields. One of the main reasons that Finkelstein was so aggrieved by Israel's actions is their use of white phosphorus.

I love Finkelstein but i think it's the other way around. Just a couple of weeks ago, the US asked Israel to stop building new settlement and Israel did not comply. What an insult to Americans who have given so much to Israel. Obama is trying to attract support in the ME and what Israel does in ME is the biggest cause for anti-Americanism.
