  • My feeling is that a 2 gallon pail would be on the small side. But you can try it.

  • would a 2 gallon ice cream pail be sufficient or would that be too small for the roots?

  • i have a question, i dont know who is siol i apreciate the answer thanks

  • Thanks for the comment. I agree, it's always good to bury a lot of the stem with tomatoes.

  • I find that the plants are stronger, in the long run, if you bury a lot of the stem, leaving about 2-3 sets of leaves showing.

  • Simply put the root ball through the hole, not the plant.

  • OK but how did u get that big plant through the hole in the bucket ??

  • Hanging the plants upside down makes them easier to deal with. The vines hang down instead of flopping all over and needing to be staked or caged. I think it makes watering a little easier too.

  • I was just gonna say, that aint a 2 inch hole!Whats the real benefit of hanging them upside down? Space saving? I am thinking of doing this inside my restaurant.

  • Glad you enjoyed it. Be looking for more.
