WWE Wrestler Jack Swagger needs to change his gimmick and adopt the Sid Vicious type gimmick. It would give him a main event push and know that the former 2 time World Champion could beat John Cena for the title.
Marc was very green here. Mero worked out at a gym with WCW jobbers Rick Ryder and Bob Cook and asked if he come come along for the ride next time they do job matches. He was introduced to Dusty and was used in a tag team match vs Doom. He got $150 per match. Mero only had a handful of matches before his run as Johnny B. Badd. He was 31 when he made his pro wrestling debut. He went from digging swimming pools to WCW Superstar! He was also Wrestling Observer and PWI Rookie of The Year in 1991.
@hezamachine back then, wrestler was a bit more free and people were allowed to be kind of creative and talent was honed. Mero had the matruity to handle playing a character. These days Macmahon is pushing people who jsut dont have the maturity yet to handle the characters they play. Everyone (the new talent) looks stiff these days
@22centman36 Marc in his shoot interview basically said that he was willing to do what Dusty wanted to do. He said that it was hard for him at first. He told his father that "they have a Little Richard gimmick" for him. His father says "Little Richard isn't that fag.." Marc: "Dad I'm getting like six figures a year" His Father: "I always liked that little Richard" LOL!
Looks like Sid used the gutwretch powerbomb that is now used by Jack Swagger. The All American American and Sid could be a match to watch if you look back in time.
Sid Vicious did not work matches to win the hearts, minds and souls of wrestling fans through victory. He wanted you people to hate and dispise him, for viciously beating down no-name ham and eggers, over and over again. He gave new meaning to the jobs of Emergency Medical Technicians and their stretchers.
I never knew Marc Mero had went by his real name before he went to WWF. I always thought Sid,Vader, and Nash had the best Power Bombs. Awesome site to see...
sID BEST INTRO EVER!!!! FROMEANYWHERE HE DAMN PLEASES! that said it all. Abyst really fuck all this pussy asses big man of today SId stills rules the fuckin WORLD
@Mrbaltimore2001 Hopefully WWE will put him in alongside the other WCW/NWA alums. The rumored class would include The Steiners, The Road Warriors, and Sting as well. While all these guys, except for Sting of course, were in WWE/F at some point, they made their names in WCW/NWA. So if he does get in, it will liely be part of that group of guys. He certainly deserves it.
Mero must have impressed the heck out of a bunch of people considering they were promoting SuperBrawl here, and Mero debuted as Johnny B. Badd at SuperBrawl.
Sid was great in the squash matches...not so good in the back and forth ones...That abortion against the Nighstatlker is somewhere on youtube..voted Worst Match of the Year at thet time!
Sid had limited wrestling skill, lets be honest. Although he was a great big man and I mark out for him all the time! One Handed Chokeslam & Powerbomb are enough to get him more than over
@bonesaw08 Genetics doesn't equal talent however, and Kevin Nash is the lowest drawing world champion in WWE so if that's how you're choosing to measure his level of talent...
@bonesaw08 No but you must be if you've missed such an obvious point. I think ultimately retardation levels come down to the fact you clearly can't use punctuation correctly coupled with your general ignorance of the situation. Well done for making yourself look stupid for the purposes of the joke though. Oh, wait...it wasn't a joke? Man alive...
@bonesaw08 - just to back you up here i paid to see Sid in 1990 and i'd pay to see him today, the guy sells tickets so i agree, if thats not talent i dont know what is
@bonesaw08 Nash...not so much. In fact, the box offices, buy rates, and ratings numbers all fell significantly when Nash began pushing himself in 1998. Pretty much everybody points to the night Nash pinned Wrath cleanly as the beginning of the end for WCW's golden era of 1995-1998.
And to be fair, the few times Sid actually appeared in a main event he wasn't considered the one bringing in the gate.
johnny b badd LOL I always liked his gimmick as little richard look alike.I thought Teddy Long helped him to be better too.

@21richkid- Sid would destroy Swagger and the medics would roll him out of the squared circle on a stretcher.
