our box style ambulance isnt used for rescue calls we use it for swift water but shit they shouldnt turn over that easy if they do then ours should have turned over douzens of time but they should have taken one of the the primarys they are more stable if they get hit like that

Some cities have emitters that trigger stop lights so emergency vehicles can go through green lights. My city has those type.

The cop's guess that the car was going to clip the ambulance and the actual result went together just like "holy" and "shit," which were the only 2 words I could utter when I saw the ambulance overturn.

Did anyone else notice that the ambulance wasn't really much of an ambulance. I work on the vans, but ours are bigger and designed for transport, but that was like a plumber's van with lights and a stretcher... They probably just used it for the recreation (cheaper to wreck)

Even back then, ambulances were much larger than that. It was probably indeed a van pulled out of a used car shop and repainted to look like an ambulance. I don't think they would want to have to rebuild or scrap a second ambulance...

McGann Ambulance Service had ambulance's that looked like vans, but were not. I believe these types of ambulance cant be used anymore.

some do and some don't. Here in Midlothian, IL they use vans(Ford E350, same model as the one in this clip.) In the next clip, the rescuers that come to get them use Ford F-350 trucks.

Yeah that is correct. But in this case the car ran a red light while the ambulance had a green light, yes? It was a little difficult to tell from the video..

Yes, the ambulance had a green light. You can tell because the cop said the car was approaching St. Joe street, and the ambulance was driving down St. Joe Street. The street sign next to the stoplight that turned red said St. Joseph street, so that means the street that intersected St. Joseph street had the red light.
