awesome i always wanted another pointless remake of this game, its classic if outdated graphics surely push this "pgm2" hardware to its limits! instead of taking years to make one character's spriteset for the pending kofxiii, i get to hear about china being introduced to a game that's over 10 years old! i can't wait until this game hits portugal 10 years from now, either!
@hadoolket Although I understand you're largely being sarcastic, China/Asia has had KoF'98 since, well... 1998. King of Fighters (esp. '98) is ridiculously popular in China/HK/Taiwan, and so SNK decided to capitalise on it by releasing an update to '98 in China on cheap hardware.
SNKP allows IGS to release KOF98 UM on PGM2 chipset in China. (I live in Taiwan but I've never seen this kind of arcade in Taiwan, we play this most with our console...)
PGM and PGM2 would be a hit in Mexico. Specially with a so much loved game like KoF'98, that would be PGM2's killer app.
