@watercooler Yes, they are. And I got to say, after the part you said about Jaws picking scientist pockets to open doors, I went and played the game. It's funny how you actually grab the guy with the teeth and drag him to the spot where you have to place the card.
Truth be told, if you actually visited something like the pentagon or various military places nowadays... all they actually do have is a couple of dell computers!!!
The big huge eye opening displays of mechanical monstrosities are rather outdated these days.
I just started watching the reviews and now I'm curious. Are these supposed to be all B-Movies?
Another cheesy Roger Corman monster movie is "The Terror Within" (1989) which tries to rip off Aliens at every possible opportunity but has some interesting moments.
Or one of my all-time favorites as a kid "Creep Show" (1982) and the less notable "Creep Show 2" (1987).
Also for one of the best 80's gore movies ever (IMO) is "Demons" (1985).
I was already getting sad that the season is over, because I love the regular uploads. But you totally made my day with the Sci Fi spring break announcement.
Hey there, I've been there since the beginning. If you ever have a hard time coming up with more movies, I have a list of favorites, all of which you have not reviewed here.
this is funny, i was making a short film with my friends called Sharktopus and when heard it had already been done i stopped production. now im pissed to find out this movie was shit, my 10 min version was better in all regards. although my monster was from the USSR and was funnier
Hey, thanks for giving us another year of enjoyable reviews. Can't wait for the Sci-Fi marathon. Here's hoping Firefly/Serenity is among those reviewed but if not it'll still be immensely entertaining.
THANK YOU!!!! Love your reviews! I've seen them all at least twice. You have a stong mind, I'd probably be howling to the moon 24/7 after a month of actually seeing these movies. Keep up the excellent work!!
Brilliant work. Between you and James Rolfe (Cinemassacre), I always look forward to this month. I will most definitely be tuning in for your Spring Break series. Your reviews have been getting consistently better, and whether you do it for love or ambition (or both), they are a joy to watch and listen to. Thanks for all you do.
To be honest the reason I got pulled into the steaming P.O.S. movie like Sharktopus wasn't the bad acting, the effects or the CGI of the tituar character. No. it was the absolute fact that: Roger Corman is behind this and the theme song
really wished you'd reviewed a film called Necromantic. It's a whole different league of fun. That, or Halloween (The re-make). I for one, hated it for so many reasons.
Great series though. Very excited for the sci fi.
sad its over :( the killers song at the end made it worse to haha thanks for all the reviews this year was fun cant wait for the sci-fi spring break!!!!
I love the recaps of all the movies at the end of these marathons, it's inspirational. :D We share a similar taste in movies, thanks for making the bad ones fun.
This was a good year of movies! But you still havnt done Dracula 3000!!!! Its kind of sci-fi so maybe you can do it in your new stuff coming march. Well, happy halloween allz!
You are the greatest movie critic I have ever seen. You are hilarious and awesome.

But is SHARKTOPUS any worse than DEVILFISH, which has a very similar monster and premise? I would be hard pressed to make that decision, myself.
(And happy trails to you, Jack. Happy trails, indeed.)
