  • tumblr has found you

  • she's got a sweet voice

  • whoa! that song made me jump!

  • Yeah feed her more patatoe chips

and make her more fat she is a

beautiful kid but it is sad that

you let her get fat because

    she is autistic!! Autistic

    kids need a special diet

    to get better!!

  • @IndigoCat17 in case you didnt notice, this girl is a teenager and cares more about dolls than her calorie intake.shes living in her own world happy and doesnt worry about her weight, which i think is beautiful.shes doing what makes her happy instead of what makes others happy.in case of trying to put down her mothers parenting skills, which you obviously have no experience with, maybe you should follow Ashleys example and start worrying about your own personal happiness instead of others' xoxo :))

  • @mexicankitsch I couldn't agree more! Ashley is happy, bright, and not afraid to be herself. We should all take a page from her book. Be happy that you are you and worry about yourself instead of trying to make rude, heartless, and hurtful comments about someone when you don't even know them.

(by the by...for those of you that think i am some "kid" trying to comment, I am a 25 year-old aspie serving in the army...living proof that autism doesn't necessarily mean you are an invalid)

  • @IndigoCat17 I realize that in your misguided concern for this woman's daughter you are trying to help her out, but in all actuality you are being more detrimental than anything. Remember that she said that her daughter reads the comments as well. I have Asperger Syndrome and while I do not do very well with the whole tact thing, you apparent lack of tact could have caused this girl major set backs!!!! Please keep this in mind the next time you make an uninformed and disrespectful post.

  • Video reminds me of my daughter, who is 15 and autistic.

  • I'm a girl on the Spectrum and I think you're doing a fabulous job. My mother tried to kill me, and abused me a lot. So now I live on my own, trying to cope on my own. Your daughter is so lucky, and it looks like she has the potential to be a great successful person. People on here being snide are simply uneducated or testing karma.

  • @motleyprism I completely agree with you! Both I and my youngest brother have Asperger's Syndrome, and I can understand where you are coming from. She is doing a fabulous job with her daughter, and she seems like such a sweet little girl (thanks to a loving mum). People making rude and uninformed comments that think they know better than her mother really need to take a step back, and think before they speak (or in this case type).

  • What are you planning on doing when she turns 18? I'm not a parent, but my impression is that you're tolerating her attitude way more than needed. Growing up with Aspergers my Mom always let me know that I was being rude (sometimes accompanied with a pop in the mouth for worse things). That amongst other things shaped me to be a polite young adult. Just my 2 cents.

  • @DaltonMan321 Do I have to have a plan? Being a parent is a day by day and moment by moment experience. THIS VIDEO that YOU watched was filmed 2 years ago! A lot has changed since then. Also, I don't believe physical punishment across the face was what was needed in this particular video. She does quite well with behavior modification and negative reinforcements. Thanks for being so POLITE in your comment!

  • @KnoxvilleJavaGirl at 1:43 she's like "HAAAAAAAAAAAA!" can you write the whole script of this?

  • hey knoxvillejavagirl ireally like ashley i have a brother thats autistic

  • No i want Fruit Lupes not lucky charms nooo rasghosdjfjsdfsd TAWAAAAAA

  • Ashley, you know what? I have bad days too! I think you seem like a great girl. I have a special love for girls with autism because two of my daughters are on the spectrum. I hope my daughter Rosalie can talk as well as you can when she's 14. You are very encouraging to me! Don't give your momma a hard time - she's just trying to love on you :)

  • man... theres an autistic kid in my music class, but he really doesnt sound like he has autism because he talks ALOT. his name is anthony and he is one of my friends.

  • @osinoff Extreme talking can be a sign of Aspergers. It is still part of the autism spectrum. They have many more sensory issues. I hope you can learn more about this condition so that you can help your friend, Anthony.

  • she made me jump too and im still scared o_o btw i have autism too but not the same kind i think...

  • ashley made me jump towards the end with the hail hittler thing lol

  • God bless you Mom & Ashley- you both are BLESSED- at this very moment my son & I are having difficult days- know that you both are in our prayers & together we can find more help & support for our precious GIFTED children of Asperger's WE LOVE YOU from Chicago!

  • I know this is a bit irrelevan comment - but - Are you sure chips are a good food for a child? She looks she's had enough calories already. I don't mean to be rude - but she's got enough problems already and I know very well what the extra kilos can do to one's health:-( .

  • everybody she is an nice girl if you can't say anything nice then keep your mouth shut .. to ashley : well everybody has a bad day even I . we all have it thats life but some days are better then others right ? keep on the good work ashley <3

  • I have asperger sydrome too!!!

  • @TheCoolestKid15 you are really, truly bored arent you?

    you multitask? my ass!

  • hey ashley, you seem to be doing really well for youreself, i hope you can make the same kind of progress i have made, enabling you to be more open to other people

i know it can be hard to hear some people say things, but id like you to keep in mind they do not always mean it the way you may think they do

if you do not allready, try asking people qeustions youve been wanting to ask them for a while (if you feel comfy with it) and try to work from there?

its what helped me at any rate

  • God bless you i have aspergers so somtimes it hard for me but God bless you and ur daughter

  • Dear Ashley,

Sorry you had a bad day...but there are more days.

Sunshine to you my friend, CarolHawks

  • I Myself have Asperger's so I have bad days too. I know exactly how you as a parent feel and how Ashley's feels. Congrats for posting this, it's impressive! :D

  • NUTS***

You OBVIOUSLY do NOT understand that in order to be Aspergers, You DO NOT have to be retarded! And insinuating such a comment shows everyone your lack of knowledge on this subject!

  • @NutsandGuts Its obvious that you are more retarded than any one- Ashley is NOT retarded & you are an ignorant, self centered fool. I have a 15 yr old with Aspergers just like you have bad days so do children like my son & Ashley- If you have NO tolerance & sensitivity to this disorder I suggest you go read a BOOK & learn something about it before you make ignorant uninformed comments.

  • sorry I didn't hear you, say that again please

  • Even cute when having a bad day !

  • SHE IS LOL

  • I recognize this in my own stepdaughter. She is also autistic.

    /Villilja

  • Shes cute!

  • I think your daughter and my daughter are at different places on the spectrum but WOW there are so many similarities. The way she eats, the facial expressions and look in her eyes especially. She is just darling! (Even when she is having a bad day)

  • Ashley in this video is so cute, she is acting just like my granddaughter.

  • Ashley talks more than Billy, but the "Go Away" is familiar hehehe. Is Wall Mart her favorite store, or does she also have others. Billy has a list of 4 or 5. But Wall Mart, is very high on his list.

  • Ashley was only saying "Walmart" because that is where the barbie she wanted was at. Except when we went they must have been doing inventory so that is why she was upset. We did go back yesterday and she bought her doll. She was so happy. maybe it will make it on one of our future videos.

  • Have you ever considered the GFCF diet? I can't help but wonder how much better she might do if she on a special diet for ASD kids and some biomedical interventions. She's obviously so high functioning ...

  • We are doing the GLUTEN FREE/Yeast FREE diet. She is not allergic or sensitive to cassein/milk.
