  • Best Kiss album of the 80s. Its my favorite Kiss album

  • @kuriaki71 Kiss has a lot a good albums but nothing comes close to Creatures,Destroyer, and Kiss

  • I Look at it as Ace is the Best and the only Proper Kiss Lead Guitarist, they all Mimmick Ace but a great song as this is what it is.A great song and a great album.

  • @LightningMultiBolt Vinnie did a great job on Creatures and Lick It Up

  • oh fuck, love the vocals! KISS - best band ever

  • You Can Do As You Please.....You Can Go To Hell...

  • Who sang this?

  • @luchog1100 Gene Simmons.

  • The Guitar and the drum at the beginning set up the song, then you know it's going to be hardcore!

  • Let's see if we can end this bickering once and for all:

ACE: Best suited to the early hard rock and roll sound

VINNIE: Best suited to the heavier, evil sound

MARK ST. JOHN - Best Aquanet shredder

BRUCE - Best technically proficient guitarist

TOMMY - Best Cover Band guy

    BOB KULICK - Best Ghost

They all have their pros and cons. Due to KISS actually progressing through differing "sounds" each of the guitarists suits KISS best at certain periods in their career.

  • I remember listening to this song a lot when I was in a bad relationship. I misinterpretated the lyrics "next to you I feel Im all alone" as "next to you I feel like you're the one". Dont know how I managed that; but it kinda fit my situation.

  • @namaththelegend ...aces first tour with kiss was in 1996... vinnie was the original and best... ace replaced bruce!!! and r.i.p. eric singer!! he was the best.. i saw eric carr on the tour last year.. what a joke!!! vinnie WAS the original and best... and eric carr is a wanna be eric singer... nuff said!!!

  • @namaththelegend..ace replaced bruce!!! aces first tour with kiss was in 1996!!! how can u say ace is the best when vinnie was before him!!! r.i.p. eric singer... now that guy was good!!! i saw eric carr last year for the hottest show on earth tour... he was kinda good.. but long live eric singer!!! and vinnie the original!!!!

  • @dpgzuspatterson eric carr was one of the greatest drummers ever. he was the one who passed. your mixed up. eric singer is the current drummer. also, ace was the first guitarist for kiss.

  • Awesome song from an excellent album. The should really add some never before played stuff like this one to their current set... be a little bold fellas. We know that Deuce, R&R All Nite etc. are all great tunes, but please fellas, it'd be really great to hear some different tunes.

  • I was listening to Creatures a few minutes ago and I was utterly surprised at how heavy it was. Man. After listening to Crazy Nights, this one's like hammer blows to the face. And I like it.

  • Okay, I am tired of this argument. It doesn't matter. Who any of us think is the lead guitar or the drummer. Ace and Peter had TWO opportunities to be in KISS. At the Hight of the KISS Dynasty in 1978 Peter and Ace decide they don't like it anymore "want to do solo careers" then both in their own way decide that drugs and drinking were more important than being a member of KISS... FUCK THEM, Paul and Gene wanted it more and have made top knotch music for almost 40years.

  • you can go to hell!!! YES!!!!

  • if Creatures had followed Unmasked their momentum woulda been a lot stronger,of course that did not happen, that being said I like Music From The Elder,I The Oath,Only You,Dark Light,Just A Boy,all cool 2 me

  • I've been a KISS fan and collector since 1976. I'm telling everybody the following FACT. The REAL KISS guitarist is NOT Vinnie Vincent, Mark St. John, Bruce Kulick or Tommy Thayer. It is ACE FREHLEY! Anybody who doesn't recognize this fact is NOT a KISS fan and is woefully ignorant. SPACE ACE RULES.

  • BRUCE KULICK WAS THE BEST KISS GUITARIST PERIOD!!!!!!

  • @rockroll6979 maybe you should die

  • @rockroll6979 this is vinnie vincent

  • Vinnie was the worst KISS member! He sucked, they had to prerecord him & speed up the track! He sucked!

  • Vinnie Vincent was the last good Kiss guitar player. Everything after Vinnie Vincent, sounded like a Bon Jovi anthem sung by Paul Stanley, except Unholy (Gene's baby). I forgot the name of their latest guitar player, but he should've stuck to cleaning out Gene's gutters and working for the Kiss Army. He embarrased himself playing classic Kiss songs. 1973-1982 was Kiss' prime, Kiss should've gone Vinnie's direction. Kiss would've been competing with the Scorpions instead of Poison

  • @riverlioness In fact, Vinnie Vincent collaborated on a few songs of the 1992 LP which rocked ! To me it seemed like a comeback album. I only found out much later that Vinnie was involved. They should have kept VV !!

  • Sweet groove by Eric Carr he was definitely on the money on this album. I love the drum sound very Bonhamesque. He had his spin to it he was a great drummer and singer. It was a fucking shame for him to die so young.

  • @Moneyshotm absolutely right!

  • From 3:35 to the end - Kiss at its VERY BEST!

  • great song but it does not fit in this album,it is to soft

  • Wow. Forgot about this one. Co-written with Brian Adams, isn't it?

  • @imaginator09... Brian Adams wrote Rock and Roll hell... If you believe him, Gene bullied him into sharing writing credit.

  • @Klarkedude That's not difficult to believe at all. lol

  • Demon rock at it's best!

  • great drums, Eric Carr was the best drummer ever!!

  • i'm a saint you're a sinner

  • why is this song on Creatures? Stinks. Classic Chaim Witz throwaway.

  • Peter Criss is human, he used to be catman. All men and women go number 2on a toilet lol.

  • @AngelBirdBlissKliss7 not peter he went in a litter box because he was the catman

  • Because people sit and they arent animals. I Love Animals but animals go to the bathroom outside.

  • My Favourite KISS song!

  • @Mistrouser

Yeah this album is also great!

  • kiss has so many great albums =)

    this is one of them!

i love destroyer, love gun and hotter than hell very much as well!

  • listen to the new song by gene,,IM A ANIMAL,-KISS STILL RULES,,

  • maybe Genes best album

  • KISS should have kept the make-up and Vinnie Vincent because he was THE only one who could possibly replace Ace! Creatures and Lick It Up were two of their best albums hands down! The other two were Rock And Roll Over and Dynasty!!

  • rock and roll over and dynasty?you are crazy.

  • @glynnracing79 I think RNRO was good. Dynasty had a few good songs but not too great.

  • Vinnie had some hardcore drug problems at the time, and that was why Kiss let him go.

  • @jasonmar36 lol how come people with stories like that !

  • @jasonmar36

That was Ace Frehley, not Vinnie. Ace had the Problems.

    not Vinnie.

  • @goyimking Amen. They messed up by taking off the make up for the Lick It Up Tour. Man that would have rocked! Gene wants control and he couldn't get that from Vinnie. Yet he brought him back to write music for the Hot In The Shade album. Love to see Vinnie do a show with them with the Ankh makeup.

  • @SoCo1972 If Kiss wore the make-up for Lick It Up, which would have been cool, but that album would have suffered the same fate as Creatures did. Fans were no longer listening to their music. They were judging with their eyes. Taking the make-up off in '83 saved their careers. MTV embraced them and they sold records til the shitty Crazy Nights came out. Are u sure Vinnie wrote for Hot? I thought he came back to write for Revenge?

  • @pluckhutma vinnie wrote nothing for HITS

  • @southplnk Thanx southpink....I wasn't sure...I didn't think so. :)

  • @goyimking also he was a creative soul, created many of the tunes on Creatures and LIU

  • @goyimking Bruce, Mark St. John, and Tommy Thayer are just as good if not better.

  • @goyimking You're right. Vinnie was the best and most talented.

  • @goyimking I agree... unfortunately Vinnie is a piece of shit as a person, but an incredible guitarist

  • One of my favourite KISS tracks on probably the best KISS album.

  • I love this song!

  • This is a great Gene Simmons song! Creatures of the Night is comparable to KISS as an album. Listen to it if you do not understand.

  • I heard the new album will be the same artist who did rock and roll over

how about two covers one without make-up Michael dubert...

  • Vinnie should be on the cover of Creatures not Ace I hope they re-issue...

    Creatures.of the Night without killar...

  • takin a poll who's better vinnie or ace? obviously ace but what do u think

  • ace

  • Ace by far

  • @thebeatles1015 Vinnie is a MUCH better guitar player.

  • Hey Cultists that goes to show you how much gene&paul care about the fans.

  • Vinnie Vincents face should have been on the cover of creatures instead of ace...Not trying to hate on ace he's great but its the truth.

  • agreed he did more then ace on this album

  • @aerosmith37 Ace didn't do anything on this album...

  • you cant be a saint??? and a sinner???

  • yes you can everyone sins therefore everyone is a sinner including saints

  • white make-up clowns??? eh...

    black is pretty cool

  • Comment removed

  • i agree with all of your coments....but fuck is this not a song of a tank rolling forward after some bitch trys to crush him...ive been there one of the greatest pick me up tunes ever

  • Takes a hammer hits demon on the head

  • RIP Eric Carr

  • The best KISS will ever be. It was downhill after this. (Lick It Up was the last blast, but Creatures was the peak).

  • AGREE, although they got better live with the addition of Bruce.

  • It's really Vinnie with a lot of Jeff Beck influence. Like you can hear in other songs of the same album.

  • I'm butt-naked in my bath tub listening to this, got my laptop right here.

  • Did you pop a boner?

  • Excuse Me!? I am offended by your crude disgusting nasty thoughts and I demand an apology right away.

  • No.

  • take it the ansewr is yes then?

  • it poked me in the eye

  • Comment removed

  • I was just joking... but why are you reading old comments on youtube?

  • because while i listen to music i browse through the comments

  • @vfgjhj

Beacuse, Idiots like you talk shit on KISS Videos, on that hand, you should know.

  • This song, in my opion is one of gene's best. Great song in a great era for the band.

  • call me crazy but the solo sounds like he is using a slide in parts

  • Sure. What's the problem?

  • Heavy drums man!!Go Eric!! I think it's George Harrison on lead :) 2 great musicians not with us today...

  • Almost sounds like Mick Mars on the Solo lol, dont get me wrong I like the solo, and Mick Rules, its realy Bob Kulick Bruce Kulicks Brother.

  • this one is VINNI VINCENT

  • ill tell you who played guitar on this song- randy rhoads

  • This is one of my favorite albums of all time ..and this has the killer guitar solo by Vinnie Vincent.

  • the drums in this song are fantastic !! RIP Eric !!

  • Uncredited musicians

Vinnie Vincent lead guitar on "Saint and Sinner", "Keep Me Comin'", "Killer", and "War Machine", backing vocals

Bob Kulick lead guitar on "Danger"

Robben Ford lead guitar on "Rock and Roll Hell" and "I Still Love You"

Adam Mitchell rhythm guitar on "Creatures of the Night"

Steve Farris guitar solo on "Creatures of the Night"

Jimmy Haslip bass guitar on "Danger"

  • I don't think Vinnie played lead on this- I could be wrong, but it doesn't sound like him at all... I'd like to be wrong, but don't think I am.

  • so who do u think it is?

  • don't know. why do you think it's Vinnie? I don't care either way- I liked Vinnie, and I love this solo.

  • it is vinnie

  • No- I don't think it is.... has too much feel to it - too melodic - not his style at all... my guess is Bob Kulick. Show me ANY other Vinnie solo that sounds even remotely like this..

  • Goto many sites ...look it up..they all say it's Vinnie Vincent on lead for this song. I believe it is too. Watch a Vinnie interview ...he was raised playing the blues ...he's not ALL about the shred. Plus listen to the end of the solo...totally Vinnie.

  • I don't really care what everyone says... you have your opinion- I have mine... Noone can give proof... I like Vinnie- just doesn't sounk like him to me at all. Peace

  • Yeah, dude, my apologies; I think you're right. I was wrong. It's Vinnie. Great song- Great solo- best one on the album, imo. So, as far as I can see, Vinnie played on this one, 'I love it loud', 'killer', and lead on 'war machine'.

  • eric car was the best drummer

  • Great song from marvelous album....i like VV's solos :)

  • yeah i´m 10000 :-)

was my caxette if i was 10 years old,

    the creatures of the night.

and the santa claus bought me.

    vui geil.

  • Vinnie wrote 13 of Kiss's songs

  • Best drum sound ever

  • great song

  • HELL YEAH!

  • god damn i havent heard this for 10 years .one of the best gene songs.

  • Fantastic! Hard heavy song! They are great!

  • It was so much harder an album because the band followed Eric Carr's lead on this one. His style was wasted on "The Elder".

  • all original members played on this track as it was from their first ever studio album

  • @deuce109 What the fuck are you talking about?

  • @wwerulestna If you follow the comments you'll see that I posted on the wrong page while skipping through vids

  • this album is only so heavy so they could make up to their fans for releasing the elder.

  • this album is heavy cos it was their first one ever

  • Would somebody send me the song?

  • buy it for 13 bucks

  • Just another example of how Gene can take a kindergarten bass line and turn it into 50lb balls!

  • Who was the studio guitarist on this song? Was it Bob Kulick, Vincent, or Frehely. Great solo on this song. Ace's face is priceless in the group photo at 2:38. It looks like Gene is propping him up.

  • yeah, I love this solo too- beautiful! ... well, I know it's not Ace- he didn't play one note on this album. I doubt that it's Vinnie even though he co-wrote 3 or 4 songs on this album. But, I can't answer the question.

  • it is ace it was their first album not creatures

  • surely you're not THAT stupid! This song is on "Creatures of the Night"- released in 1982, 9 years after their 1st album. This is Gene, Paul, Eric Carr, and it's anybody's guess as to who is playing lead guitar here- maybe Bob Kulick because Ace did not play a single note on this record- even though he appears on the album cover... Vinnie Vincent did play some on the album but, nobody knows just how much. Vinnie did co-write 3 or 4 songs on "Creatures"- the 13th album, not counting the solos.

  • Sorry this is who played what on CREATURES.Simmons--bass guitar,lead vocals,rhythm guitar on "War Machine"Stanley--rhythm guitar,lead vocals,lead guitar on"I Love It Loud"Eric Carr--drums,bass on"I Still Love You"Vinnie Vincent--lead on"Saint and Sinner","Keep Me Comin'","Killer",and"War Machine",backing vocals.Bob Kulick--lead on"Danger"Robben Ford--lead on"Rock and Roll Hell"and"I Still Love You"Adam Mitchell--rhythm on"Creatures"Steve Farris--guitar solo"Creatures"Jimmy Haslip--bass"Danger"

  • cool. thanks. Where'd you find this info.? I knew SOME of this from "KISS- behind the mask" book but, I could never find out what Vinnie played on....What's up with your previous comments?: "it is Ace it is their first album not creatures". I'm confused...

  • so was i at the time i was skipping through songs with two pages open at the same time and posted my comments on the wrong page.

i'm obsessive about kiss and get info from anywhere i can find but i found this on wikepedia.

  • oh, ok. ...Then I still have doubts about whether this is Vinnie on "saint and sinner"- it doesn't sound like him... I don't know. ??? It's very melodic. I love it- great song. I'm not saying you're wrong; I just read where wikepedia is not totally reliable. ?

  • VV's solos with Kiss were quite different from what he did with VVI, esp. on VVI's first album. I have heard that Rick Derringer played on this album as well, but maybe that was Lick it Up.

  • Gene Simmons bass guitar, lead vocals, rhythm guitar on "War Machine"

Paul Stanley rhythm guitar, lead vocals, lead guitar on "I Love It Loud"

Ace Frehley lead guitar (credited, but does not appear)

Eric Carr drums, bass guitar on "I Still Love You"

  • 14th- I forgot "killers".

  • ace

  • It almost starts off like Can't Get Enough of Your Love (Bad Company) and/or Rockin' Into the Night (.38 Special). I've never heard this one live, though I have heard a few COTN songs live. Has anyone out there heard them perform Saint and Sinner live? Please post if you have.

  • The solo on this one is beautiful.

  • This is my favourite Kiss song of all time. Very underated IMO.

  • wow- and I thought I was the only one who absolutely loves this song! It might be my all-time favorite too- it's too hard to pick just one. ... You English?

  • Yeah as it happens I am.

  • kiss is the most underrated band in music history...they r the best

  • I nearly got this album last month on CD. I picked it up, I started to walk off then I looked back and guess what was sitting behind it?......The Elder!

  • I first heard this in '82 and never recovered from it.

    GREAT.

  • awesome awesome awesome their heviest and best album

  • I doubt Vinnie disses Carr The Fox if so shame on you if anything diss singer

hes the Hawk wearing Cat make-up and Tommy Aces make-up

  • cool

  • awsome bass lines
