Mets, I feel ya on the job thing. I'm about to be laid off . This economy is really fucked right now. A lot of us are going to be out of work before it's all said and done.

I disagree with you on the college part though, and your probably like wtf, but unless you're going to school to be a lawyer or a doctor it's a waste of time and money in this day and age. It aint what you know, but who you know. Believe that.

The one thing i recommend is the TRADE business and Then start your own.

Collage wasn't for me, but I learned enough one year to pull about 60,000 a year from starting my own business and then selling it. When the economy went to shit I fell back on my old PRINTING, PLUMBING, and painting UNDER the table jobs and still pulled like 42K! Its out there man good luck in collage.

RETAIN whats important otherwise its just a piece of paper, also you really have to sell yourself to a company now.

sczlep that's so true! in OUR actual experience, im seeing all these guys with degrees getting cut left and right while guys with a little experience and real goods hands on management skill are keeping they re jobs

I know people that work at banks, have city jobs, and who work for company like VALERO and are engineers, all of them are facing the ax. they are angry cause they are getting cut and they guys with no degrees are stepping up and doing their jobs for a slight pay raise. Its win win for the company and employee. MAN I TRIED TO SIT Thur collage! I COULDNT and regretted it, NOT NOW! Cause I'm jack of all TRADES and am willing to work for slightly less I get hired AND outshine collage boys!
