I met Bill a little over two years ago....... he's the real deal.... BTW I am a practicing martial artist with 42 years of experience and an instructor in the art of KALI. I know the real deal when I see it
Bill Lassiter was a wonderful man and a great teacher who taught me alot about no nonsense self defense, personal conduct, respect for others and myself. It meant alot for me to see this video. Even though my training was in the '70's and I didn't keep up with it twice in my life that training popped back when I needed it and helped me. I owe alot to Bill and my original instructor Bob Morales.
No chest puffing here at all. Maybe you're watching a different video. Bill was one of Jimmy's top fighters, and to many, IS the Art of Kung Fu San Soo. He is one of the most humble students of the art, as a person and also one of the most fiercest San Soo practitioners known, ask any of his Masters or their students. You have confused cocky with confidence.
If Jimmy was still around He would no doubt be heartbroken over all the posturing and chest puffing going on here. That is not the way of a true martial artist...
@quixy619 Studied for "awhile" ? You're not qualified to offer an opinion. You know as much about san soo as about splitting the atom. Why not comment on something you have real experience in, maybe modern dance? Huh?
@quixy619 You show your ignorance. I don't know how long "awhile' is but it wasn't long enough. Everyone starts out slow and with repetition. When you started reading as a kid did you automatically read the words or did you first have to sound out the letters? You sound very young and inexperienced as to life. Either I'm right about your youth or you're a dumbass who basically doesn't know shit about I'd guess anything.
i am a master in kung fu san soo,. bill is the best of the style... and if you really know san soo, think of your self as a gun fighter of the old west. we train like this so you get use to getting attack,. but in rel time you dont wait, you draw frist., and using san soo, in this manner, if you have to wait for the punch ,, you are doing this style right, this is the most affective style there is,,, has everything you need to protect your self on the street,
@quixy619 I studied San Soo too, but we never threw the same punches, we tried to simulate every type of attack possible. Tried to make it as real life as possible.
@quixy619 I love it how some D-bag took a few lessons and he thinks he knows so much about the art that he can pass judgement on it. Go study MMA, you'll be much happier learning a sport.
yea Bill is so good, that they couldn't use him for the star of texas rangers because he would have beaten all of the bad guys up on the first show and the writers and sponsors would have had no shows left....
I studied under sifu Dan Castro. He recieved training under Bill Lasiter. Sifu would always tell me how great Bill was.
And as for Kung fu san soo, it's gotten me through situations especially with gang members & bullies in school. San soo is a very good combative form and strongly encourage people to learn a pure fighting system that saves lives.
San Soo, a great MA style for the mind, body, spirit and integrity. It will get you in shape and help survive in the street if applied by hard work and practice. Thanks master Bill
I started with Bill when I was 7 yrs old, back in 1971. He was outstanding then, and he is awesome now. Thank you Bill for everything you taught me. He is a man among men!!!
Bill definatly quilifies as a "master of masters" because he gots tons of masters under him.. it's just a term if you got students who became masters under you.. then you're a "master of masters"

Great video Don!
It was an honor being one of his students. He's made a lot of great masters that carry on the art superbly.
