I was in the 501st for my active duty years and now Im NG in the 143rd airborne infantry Regt. Its actually a good unit, the national guard really turned out to be a pleasant surprise.

Perhaps if we started counting the cost of bullets and bombs as being 'food on someone's table' we might better appreciate 'the madness of this war' !!!
@peoplepassion When bullets are coming your way, you can give a fuck less about someones plate of food. We dont get plates of food whilst in war, we get an MRE, dried and dehydrated powdered food, mixed with hot water, our table is the floor. No ones worried about what were eating, but to keep your freedom free we don't bitch, we shoot those extra bullets and hope the towel head fuck doesn't stand up again.
Don't try to educate me about the Military... because I spent almost 20 years as a Serving Member...
What I am referring to is the fact that we have been in that country for 10 years, and there are more 'starving Afghanis' now than there were before we went there.
If we want the respect of the people... How about we feed them, rather than try to kill them !!!
