Not so rare! Kann has sold well over a thousand of these CoCollector units since the late 90's. The study I saw from a WM report was that the Kann CoCollector saved a lot of money when compared to a two compartment side loader or split rear loader. These trucks are also great for single stream recycling... as you can collect garbage in one compartment and commingle recycling in the other! One truck, one operator, two commodities versus two trucks and two to four operators... money saved!
So just how "rare" are these?? Others say the same thing there's not many around.. I never even gave much thought to it B4 lol! it's been around for a long time so I never knew anything about it.. I'm going to try to get more video of this like truck.. but the last couple weeks has been the sideloader. I'm hoping the KANN will be back this week! Then I'll try to get a bunch of shots like I did with the autoreach. I saw the sideloader in town today
Hope it does come! In a collection of maybe 100 random FLs, I would say about 1-2 of them would be KANNs, if that gives you any idea how rare these are! So much footage like the Autoreach vids would be PERFECT! Thanks!
its a kann 3 sort they have a drop floor inside the body to keep the items seperate i drive a kann 2 sort (trash on bottom floor recycle on top floor) for veolia in batavia illinois
Veolia.. I seen them at the state fair, never heard of them b4, thought they were local to St. Paul and area, now I hear about them all over! LOL.. Would be cool if you could get a vid of it, never seen the inside of one of these.. it's hard for me to picture what it's like!

KANN FL's have a second tailgate inside the main bubble tailgate you see on the outside, so they really are split and do keep things separate!
