so would it be faster to have the gpu do the work rather than the cpu... on lets say....... gts250 to a q660 cpu?

my CPU is a 3.0ghz quad core, each core can hit about 1100/second password

my video card is a single GPU ATi 5770 using CAL++ (openCL) its the AMD version of CUDA.

and can hit 75000/second.
