  • I think I have the right to say it looks nice but not really like the m-1 paratrooper helmet and I would know I have one so don't even bother arguing

  • @marchingpackofCeHS

M1 paratrooper helmet? Never heard of one, yet you own one? Let me see this rare exclusive paratrooper modified helmet designated still as M1. Must be worth hundreds of thousands. In case you haven't bothered to see my other videos, I too own a proper reproduction M1-C paratrooper helmet. In fact I have all the remaining gear to accompany it and I think I have a pretty good idea on what it looks like as well.

  • @JessesWarMovies m1-c my ipod has auto correct

  • @JessesWarMovies and fyi mine is not a reproduction it was my grandpas i said it looked good but it is off a bit

  • @marchingpackofCeHS

Well that's good for you. I understand this isn't 100% accurate but like I said, it's just a movie prop, and I'd be taking a greater interest in you and your gear if you weren't such an ass in the first place. My M1-C helmet is an At The Front reproduction, so as far as 'looks' go to copy off, it's identical to an original.

  • nothing like M1c helmet.

  • @709thinfanterieflak

    Liner chinstrap = Check

    A straps = Check

    Chin cup = Check

    Regular chinstrap = Check.

Homemade, Movie Prop, Replica = Obviously not a professional repro.

This is funny coming from '709th infanterie'

  • What's the difference between a M1 Helmet and a M1c helmet?

  • @MrRichie1945

The M2 and M1-C are variants specifically designed for paratroopers. They had a complete extra chinstrap rig for support when jumping in addition to the liner chinstrap and regular chinstrap (which also had snap clips to attach it to the liner, once again providing more stability when jumping)

  • YOU'RE A KIWI!!!!! i'm from NZ too bro :) just sayin

  • @HelterSkelterSOR

    Haha all good cheers bro!

  • I like the use of the Medal of Honor: Allied Assault theme.

  • @myurgil

  • um...WOW!!!!

  • @ExternalFilms

I got this one on Trademe for $50 NZ. I got another modern one free from an ex army guy. If you want a proper WW2 one you'll have to look on militaria sites

  • @matespitfire

Pretty much says in the vid

  • one question would i be able to make a ww2 helmet out of a toy modernd helmet that i got a the easter show?

  • @legoWW2STARWARSdude

Depends...first off, *what* is the toy helmet? Is it replicated it off anything?

  • @JessesWarMovies i'm not sure i'll try and make a vid on it

  • I want helmets like that for my budds softair wars :D

  • @legoWW2STARWARSdude

lol don't worry I reply to everything. You won't be able to find out how to make one anywhere cause I'm the only one to come up with it (as far as I know) Do you want a real M1-C Helmet or a standard M1 and then put lookalike parts on it like this one?

  • Comment removed

  • @JessesWarMovies well a real one would be to expencive so a standard m1 because i am sick of not haveing one so if there is anything you tell me about geting standard one plz reply

  • @legoWW2STARWARSdude

All I can recommend is eBay. Try eBay Australia, then you might get some local sellers. You could also try trademe, but ask the seller if they will post to Aus before you bid on it :D

  • @JessesWarMovies thanks man for the reccomandations

  • @legoWW2STARWARSdude

    No probs

  • were would i be able to get a helmet like that for a good price because i can't find how to make one of those anywere PLEASE REPLY PLEASE that helmet is EPIC so PLEASE REPLY

  • how do you make it

  • @chr2893

Could you be more specific on what you want help with?

  • Hi were did you get the net from?

  • @NZWW2

I got it free from this guy at the Classic Flyers Airshow in Tauranga 09. Helmet nets are pretty hard to find on trademe aye lol

  • thats so cool did you make the steel or did a perfecanl do it

  • @buddy7144

Thanks dude its a real M1 Helmet so proper steel. All I did make and add the extra webbing and materials

  • Dude what a mess, have you ever seen a real m1 helmet?????????????

  • @koentolliozz

A mess? Have YOU ever seen a M1 helmet? You think this is a plastic walmart kids helmet or something? Yes, I have seen a real M1 helmet because my one is REAL. And I also own a M1-C Helmet. What are you on?

  • @JessesWarMovies

I think what he meant was that the helmet shell has the chin straps which were introduced in 1951, and from what I can tell the liner doesn't appear to be American. Still you did a nice job making the liner look like a paratroop liner.

  • @chak3226

Ohh lol. Yeah, its got a different strap to the WW2 ones, and the liner is modern, not sure what make but most likely Dutch or something/

  • you sound like a kiwi :) and nice job man on ur helmet ilikes very much

i got a helmet aswell but its all coverd in paint

  • @MRjoker13121995

Well I am from New Zealand so yeah lol, and thanks dude!

  • you sound like a Kiwi :) and very nicly done man on ur helmet !!!

  • Comment removed

  • Nice M1 dude, good job. Did you copy SGTMOVIEMAKER's prop vid lol?

  • @IIproductionsII

Thanks! No I haven't seen his vid at all?

  • @JessesWarMovies oh ok, he was some guy who made a prop vid of his helms and stuff using the same MOH music =P All together how much do you reckon the Helmet would cost? cos I've seen some with crappy liners for $50 and the ones with proper liners are like $250

  • @IIproductionsII

Oh ok lol. My helmet cost me $50 NZ which would be just under $40 US but its a really good one. Nothing special like WW2 liners or anything but yeah its a nice one. The ones your looking at are probably genuine WW2 pots with Westinghouse liners and stuff or something lol. Check out my new video on my 101st AB gear. My proper M1-C in there isn't original either, the liner and shell is postwar but its been restored and that cost $125 US

  • You rock!

  • @gyrate4

Thanks man, this helmet is alot better now. The straps have been lengthened on the other ends, giving more grip so they can take a good beating, and I've added some scrim to it too :D

  • Nice job on the helmet. I wonder why there way netting on them originally anyway?

  • @Dithrick

Thanks. The net was used to weave stuff through, like scrim or real foliage. Even without anything in the nets, it still helped to break up the shape of the helmet. I've put scrim on this helmet now and it looks heaps cooler.

  • the medal of honor soundtrack really is the best of all... :D

  • @bulletinyurass

    lol :P

  • You made me start playing Medal of honor Again, i remembered the theme song, and found it in my old cardboard box of ps2 games, Thank you ;)

  • @johndeere8030t

    Haha no probs :D

  • Where can you get standard M1 helmet Liner?

  • @MajorShamrock12

If your not worried about what type of liner it is you'll find them anywhere. Ebay, surplus stores, expos etc. If you want a WW2 one you'll have to pay heaps more.

  • @JessesWarMovies the only liner I dont want is te crappy austrian liner. im considering just buying another helmet and selling the other one to a antiques store.

  • @MajorShamrock12

Yeah you could do that. Theres bound to be plenty of liners of ebay though.

  • o ok :(

  • no im got not a m1 standard and yes

  • @gamesnoob123

Yeah you'll be able to do it. Like I said its pretty easy. The hardest thing is having the net, the liner chinstrap and the A straps all in the right place before you put the liner in. I'm really fussy when it comes to that lol. I've actually moved the A strap assembly in between the suspension and the liner, making it more realistic. Its also way easier to maintain because you can tighten or loosen them without having to take the whole liner out.

  • where u buy it netherlands ur amrican? can u help me im love the ww2 stuff and im got a helm to but not a paratrooper :D

  • @gamesnoob123

Actually im one of the few enthusiasts from New Zealand lol. Is your helmet a standard M1?

  • 200 ?

  • @gamesnoob123

damn..if your gonna offer that much you should just buy a proper one that won't fail you from At the front. They're $125 for a standard and for $150 you can add a first aid pack, net and 506th stencils. I'm getting one of those when I buy my kit.

  • pleaseeee let me buy it for 50$

  • @gamesnoob123 Sorry I bought the M1 alone for $50, even though your probably talking US dollars. Its really not that hard to do

  • I have a Korean war marine helmet. How would I convert it to this?

  • @koopa1333

As long as its a M1 helmet you'll be able to do it. It doesn't matter if you've got a post war helmet/liner. Mines a NZ Army one from a couple of years ago

  • how did you attach the straps

  • @ww2buff23

I mention all this in the vid. Watch it again to re-cap. The A straps are just jammed in between the liner and the shell. Not reliable for a real jump lol but it holds. Same thing with the liner chinstrap. The chincup is attached like the real ones with that typical buckle you find on roman sandles. The buckles have been stitched to the A straps.

  • @JessesWarMovies i searched it on google and didnt read the title.

  • @scouser96100

    oh ok

  • can i buy it :D

  • @gamesnoob123

lol thanks for your interest but im gonna keep it for a movie prop. I really recommend doing one yourself though. It cost me no more than $2 to do the 'conversion'

  • The 82nd Airborne actually had markings on their helmets (only not as much as the 101st had). Look it up on Google for some examples! ; )

  • @JelleVD

cheers for that, I just didn't want to risk hand painting anything on it and alot of the 82nd guys had no stencils so I just went with that.

  • nice!!!!!!! not bad for homemade

  • @luther303 cheers

  • hey its me just wonderin cos u dont play rs much more would i be able to play on dwarvo? (not change the pass ofcourse) pm a reply thanks

    honkster

  • jesus! thats a well put together helmet! if you didnt tell me you made it i would have thought it was a expencive replica! i just bought a vietnam steel pot with no liner, because the store i bought it from ran out of liners, so i bought fomr 5 cent foam for rifle cases and glued it in and made a fake leather strap like you did and glued that on as well

  • @NicR94

thanks for the comment and haha nice :D

  • great man it looks great couldnt barely tall the difference hey maybe u should make me one and i would buy for 100$ us standard lol if i have money then

  • @sirjogs

thanks man, id love to make you $100 poorer :D but you could just get a M1 helmet off ebay really cheap and get some belts for next to nothing aswell. I could give you like a written tutorial on how I did mine. If your gonna be a reenactor I'd get a proper one but if you're just an enthusiast I'd go for one of these.

  • @JessesWarMovies ofcourse but ya i mean oneday i want one from u just to have

  • @sirjogs

lol imagine how much you would have to pay for shipping

  • @JessesWarMovies =o alot but it would be worth it

  • @sirjogs

    lol

  • nice job

  • @HowYouSayOwned

    thanks

  • cool

  • @honk267 :D
