hi i play with a crooked embouchure and i want to know does it really effect the way you sound? because i want to be a flautist but i wonder if my crooked embouchure is really problem...

@mahmoodnooni23 Yes. I'm a high school flautist and it'll really, really help your tone if you improve your embouchure! It helped me to watch how the best flautists play, and mimic that in a mirror. :)

@mahmoodnooni23 there are lots of people who play with an off-centered embouchure (including me). It depends on your facial structures. I wouldn't worry if you can get a beautiful sound!

@andradevln Yes, played it last week for the first time and will record it on a CD this Summer. Works beautifully on the flute. I decided to play it after hearing Lorna McGhee performing it on the flute 2 years ago. She did amazing job with it.

It says on the video that it was arranged by Mr. Bouriakov himself, so I doubt there is a purchasable version out there. I suggest you get the original violin score and arrange it accordingly.

Each person is different in how they play. And lots of great flutists past and present have played on the side of their mouths. Jean Pierre Rampal is a good example...

I enjoy this version a lot. Certainly not the same as the violin version, but still very unique.

I think the flute brings out some of the more mysterious qualities of the piece.
