  • the bridge isover, the bridge is over hahaa

  • The real story can be found in BDP song

  • Hip Hop started in New York

  • @Jerkyboy2169 no fucking shit

  • the entry of 1520 is on my profile photo..

  • 1520 sedgwick ave.. cedar park.. you can not begin to read a book on page 47.. respect to mc shan and the juice crew

  • @hiphoplegend1 LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! you better check the history. The art started out in the park in NY, commercially on wax, "JERSEY" dun. Sugarhill.

  • @BillyBatsonMarvel Where it starts on wax is NOT where the artform ORGINALLY started, you'd better chech your hip-hop history man! THE BOOGIE DOWN BRONX.....Sedgewick Ave...Kool DJ Herc, Afrika Bambaataa, as a matter of fact the Sugarhill Gang didn't even write their own lyrics THE COLD CRUSH BROTHERS did...do your homework man!

  • @hiphoplegend1 YO! I said it, started out in the Park (Boogie Down). Sugarhill (NJ) was my political spin to throw Jersey in the convo. I know the history, I watched WildStyle!

    ;-)

Yo! I'm just wild'n. Much love & Respect. PEACE!

  • @BillyBatsonMarvel Arfika Bambaata started it, in Bronx NY! Sugarhill was just the first group to hit platin!

  • "This is the place where stars are born,

The Bridge, the Bridge, the Bridge!"

  • @TheNYCOLD and ur point is??

  • I luv this beat!! Shan made it complete. Big ups!!!

  • Mc Shan never said Hip Hop started in Queensbridge. Krs one wanted be down with the Juice Crew Shan Kool G Rap. But mister magic thought Krs demo was wack. So Krs One took it to heart and he went at the whole Label and the whole borrough of Queens.

  • Marley Marl had all the best sound back then... the second you heard the mix, you knew it was him... he was one of the first to go heavy on sampling James Brown breaks. Before Marley, hip hop tracks often had really cheesy synths and the drum machines were really lame ass and corny. If my memory serves me right, he used a EMU-SP12 or SP1200 on a lot of his tracks -- he was also one of the first to rely heavily on sampled layered loops.

  • Dope

  • @OfficialThaKid Fuck yeah.

  • @YoungOldSchoolRapper oh I have a time machine...nah my dad tells me everything

  • @YoungOldSchoolRapper oh and btw im 13..

  • @YoungOldSchoolRapper Yeah I understand

  • @YoungOldSchoolRapper True..Alot Of Kids These Days Do Tend To Stay Inside And Play There "Xbox" or "PS3"... but theres still some people who do come outside and chill or whatever..but yeah nothin speacial about the 80's and 90's

  • @YoungOldSchoolRapper its not very special actually..its best if you were born around 1996 ish time because you would grow up in the technolocly advanced era..I mean besides music theres nothin really special about the 80's and 90's

  • @YoungOldSchoolRapper why do wish you were born in 75?

  • boom, bap

    boomboomboom bap

    boom boom, bap

    boomboomboom bap

  • Real hip hop big s/o'z 2 MC Shan st8t from ya deadly neighborhood D.C. Snypa Fleebagg202...Blokkka!!!!

  • @flywonderful1 this @Xscapesightings not sure what I'm logged under. Biz maybe from Long Island but was part of Juice crew and wrote and many videos in and about Bklyn. Albee Square Mall was one of them. That Mall no longer exist.

  • Classic for sure but my man KRS still served him. Lol. Marley Marl doesn't get enuff credit as a producer. Dude laid the foundation. On another note I do beats. Stop by and check em out. All feedback and love will be appreciated, one.

  • First of all I bout albums from both M.C Shan & KRS.Both great. They were both Emcees,in the era of great rappers. Shan the first to metaphor a drug into a woman in the song "Cocain".His simile format on the Born To Be Wild album(2nd release) (I Pioneered This & Juice Crew Law) that came out in 1988 was a formular that many future artist grew off of. Shan was one of the people that Nas pattened himself after. Shan was a poet.

  • marley marl magic touch

  • This was a good one.

  • love this song but sorry HIP HOP started in THE BRONX ALL THE REAL FANS KNOW THIS !!!!

  • @TheNYCOLD 100% spot on on both respects!

  • @TheNYCOLD This song has nothing to do with the beginning of hip-hop. It's about the beginning of Shan's musical career..

  • @TheNYCOLD HIP HOP started in Dirty Jersey on Sugarhill.

  • @BillyBatsonMarvel hip-hop did NOT start in fuckin' New Jersey, are you serious?? LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

  • @TheNYCOLD

i actually did a research paper on this subject truth is nobody really knows where it started in fact Philly can even lay claim to the birth of hip hop but the bronx was the first to claim it which is why they get credit but being an mc is from jamaica

  • @TheNYCOLD nope jamaica nice try though

  • @TheNYCOLD yea n da black and latino neighborhoods of south bronx

  • I can listen to this jam over and over and over - The Bridge!

  • 2 people need to JUMP OFF the bridge.....

  • if Biz was part of the juice crew he sure enough rep Brooklyn

  • @Xscapesightings Biz was from Long Island

  • nuttin personal tho, but I think thats a major challenge if you realize how competitive it used to be and still is.

  • @Mashayach yeah obviously youre not from nyc ...the juice crew was killing bdp! krs the punk bitch that he is made up the bullshit that juice said that hip hop started in queens...umm to this day NO ONE can show me that in this song! show me! krs is a little bitch who creates bullshit and strawmen to make himself look good..hes a fake ass punk!

  • @TheAUDIOARCADE

Lyrics to The Bridge (Album Version) :

You love to hear the story, again and again

Of HOW it ALL got started way back when The monument is right in your face Sit and listen for a while to the NAME of the PLACE

    "The BRIDGE" "Queensbridge"

Hmmm I wonder where KRS got it from, I wonder where... (lol?)

  • @TheAUDIOARCADE you must of drunk a full bottle of cisco to say summ dumb shit like that. Queens couldn't fux with Brooklyn and the Bronx back then. Krs shut MC Sham down.

  • @Xscapesightings cisco LOL! yo straight to the dome sun!

  • its a shame that this only has about 40 thousand views and lil wayne has millions :S

  • @BlackAndYellow030 i know what your saying but this is couple of generation later so they missed out

  • @trkk01 yeah but if you have passion for hip hop you should look back at its roots and you probably somewhere end here

  • @BlackAndYellow030 well i used to have a passion for hip hop i still listen to the music from over the years including i don't even remember but i listen to all genre of music.

  • @BlackAndYellow030 For the same reason why freedom is the road seldom traveled by the multitude.

  • lol KRS brings shan nightmares ahah

  • mc shan& marley marl: definition of DOPE!!

  • Yo the original wop dance was to this song, my radio was DEF when this was on

  • Queen for life..s.o.p.40projects

  • He never said Hip Hop was started in Queens. He is just saying how they started rapping around his way.

  • not sure how there could be 2 people that gave this a thumbs down....must be deaf.

  • This came out 5 years before I was born and I still know that this is real hip-hop.

  • I still rock my crusher hat and adidas..

  • Reminds me of the Bridge in Philly Overbrook, back in the Day, 80s

  • @Mujah1 215th, Philly!!.....It Reminds you of Philly because he bit Cool C's style. Half the Juice crew started in Philly on Pop Art......Cool C "Juice Crew Dis"

  • @Chhaz215 i assume because that is where the record label was housed. Many artist from Atlanta have lawyers from NY

  • OLD SCHOOL AT ITS BEST!!!!!!!

  • THE BRIDGE...THE THE THE BRIDGE...THE BRIDGE

  • ....but its those cowards who kill us so now they say....
