there is another vidoe that resembles this video, feel free to type "iklan raya petronas 2007 - burung murai"...but there is no english subtitle available..but you dont need subtitle to understand that vid if you already watch this vid...heh heh heh
I agree with NouNouNaki. Even cannibalistic tribes, and non-Christians and non-Islam, honor their parents. It is our conceit that we develop when we become independent is what triggers this sort of actions, and CONCEIT does not choose religion. This video is a good reminder, and a good slap in the face for some, that we are nothing if not for our parents.
I already knew the original video, so I'm sitting there enjoying it, then this bullcrap comes across the screen. Way to ruin a good video. You hypocritical bastard. You post "keep your comments to yourself" yet you want to push your convictions onto others in the very video you post.
There is nothing hypocritical here, you can post any video you want, i will not comment it or watch it if I don't like the tittle, so you just wasting your time by coming here and commenting on what you don't like. As I said many times, there are different versions of this video, you can watch them.
This is a decent video. It caused me to consider my treatment of others, which is generally good. The young man, as many young men, has little patience. This was a good lesson to him. Let it be a good lesson to all of us.
uuh...I dont really get what would be so offensive in this video...or why someone would complain?...its beautiful and fully goes along with what Islam teaches....Thank you for uploading : )
I can't believe all you people praising this video. The father is projecting himself on his son and makes him feel guilty on purpose! He is a terrible father. The son asked this question when he was a kid naturally. But now it's not like the father has a mental illness or something, he's just acting and then like a smart-ass he makes up for his possibly shity parenting with a simple mentioning to a specific page in his diary. Open your eyes people, there are more dimensions than the obvious...
@Edgaros I saw you on the other video... are you seriously going to every video to say the same thing?
And to clear things up: the kid in the past was playing too. He asked it 21 times. Unless he was mentally retarded, there was no need to ask this so many times. But, the father was patient and played the game without getting annoyed. He is now asking something little of what he has given his son all these years.
Open your mind, there are lovable parents in the world...
@Teachan Yes i posted the same thing to another video too, because i wanted to show to as many people as possible how stupid this video is and how it's flaws weaken its message which is an important one. The question is why do you respond to me in both videos? For your knowledge is a common phenomenon little kids asking the same question over and over again. It doesn't mean they are retarded. But even if the kid was playing, the kid is justified. It was just a 3 year old boy for Christ's sake...
@Teachan The intentions of the father are totally different though. He is testing his son and when the son goes wrong, the father rubs it in his face. With a mentioning to a diary's page! That means shit. He could be a terrible father for years for all we know. This whole thing is planned and that makes the father extremely unwanted in my eyes. He is projecting himself on his son and makes him feel guilty. This is not a creative way of communication if you ask me.
@Teachan And what's with the "Open your mind, there are lovable parents in the world..." shit? When did i say there are not lovable parents in this world? Don't make assumptions about what i believe. I was referring to the father of this short movie not fto all the parents of the world. Jeez...
if you think you have achieved any thing is this posting - you showed how mean you are about others feelings and how self centered you are about receiving gifts and not being grateful for that gesture. Go around show who you really in the heart. I feel sorry not for your parents buy for your kids, who are so less fortunate to have a father without heart
@emailpattabi I feel sorry for your kids too, because they have a father with a below zero I.Q. You couldn't possibly know who i am in heart and what i have done in my life. @duranali Im a muslim myself, but when you put quran on christians and jews' videos, it shows our weakness, it shows that we're waiting for a nonmuslim to make a beautiful film so then we can say "oh, this is what the quran says, ya!" its kinda lame,
Prophet of Allah SWT would never do unethical things in order to invite people over Islam as well as He SAW had never doubt one's faith event Munafekuun were amongst them. When your brother share an advise take it but not mock it or degrade it.
As you are free to put anything and edit anyones material, which I dislike, therefore you have to take people's comments whether you like them or not. You can even shut comments option off as well but I wonder why not doing that... I state my comments here because I wanted support those people, mostly non-Muslims, who state truth against your attitude as my prophet, Muhammad SAW, would do the same as I learned.
I'm sorry but did i offend you? Do you even have an idea of who this materiel belongs to?
Allah says
"O you who have believed, if there comes to you a disobedient one with information, investigate, lest you harm a people out of ignorance and become, over what you have done, regretful."..
you just accused me out of ignorance.
Before talking about me, you need to check what you talking about.
When you do not like other's opinion, this would not justify your point of view is correct or religious as if you are a Sheikh or a religious authority. If you doubt about one's faith in Islam while the same one states otherwise, as a Muslim, you are violating Islamic law. And yes I have noticed those verses from Holy Quran which I respect with all my heart as a MUSLIM. You have no right to judge my belief or others' at this point.

I'm sorry if i offended you, but a rude non muslim has no place in my comment section or my page...When a non muslim talks to me in good manner, i would be more than happy to discuss with him/her but im not going to be apologetic about my religion.

Im sorry brother but I know the kuffars who are no good.
Also, if someone is not comfortable watching a video with verses from the Quran, then Its not my problem. This video was public to anyone, and I added to point view of the story, I didn't change anything in the video or edited the main story. If the creator of the video ask me to take it out, im ganna be more than happy to do it, but I don't like people who act like they are the creator of the video.
Also advice need to be private, not public, otherwise its insult.
@Duranali I have seen your efforts trying to tell these people how they had misinterpreted the message behind this video. It is truly a fantastic video and may Allah bless you in whatever you do in the future. I have also seen some of the comments and I was utterly shocked and dismayed at what people said. PEOPLE, IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT, FIND ANOTHER VIDEO TO WATCH!!!!!
I am a muslim myself and I stand by the original work which needed to be respected an not edited for any reason. You cannot teach respect while you are disrespecting other's intellectual rights. Just because everybody can change anything on the net that does not justify your act to be right.
our theology professor shared this video to us but the video was kind of broken so I am glad that someone uploaded this video here in youtube.. Even though the video my professor shared was broken, i understand the story and it was hard to hide the tears from my classmates. and now, i am watching it again and i can cry whenever i want. It was a very touching scene...
Dear Duaranali, with all my sincere respect to you and to all the Muslims:
I an Muslim myself, BTW. But nor radical, just ethnic. I do not love when somebody, whether Muslim or Catholic or Orthodox or whatever and whoever (I do not care) tries to propagate something which, probably, can not be loved by others.Just have a respect to others, rather that to yourself and the ones like yourself. Personally I do not believe in religions, whatever they are.
Just to clarify the language spoken in this video is greek. I know because i am Greek.
other than that, religion is irrelevant, because respecting your parents has nothing to do with religion and you shouldn't mix these two very different things.
You could have done a better job translating the last verses, because they made little sense, as if you used google translator.
I really love this video and the message at the back was so touching. And anyway, what Surah of the Quran is this quote from? This is definitely the only video that can reduce me to tears.
This is an excellent movie, I just wish you didn't change it at the end. It was fine as it was, adding the religious aspect only takes away from the overall message.
I did. I said it was an excellent video. I just commented it was better in it's original form (in fact I'm thinking of mirroring it myself) which I believe is a superior format. For all of you complaining about this comment get over it, if you don't like it. just read another comment.
I'm not complaining about the video, I'm complaining about what you (or whomever edited the original) did to it.
If you don't like dissenting opinions you shouldn't be on youtube.
We all need to treat each other with respect because we are all human beings! This is the only way we can develop and grow as a society. We all are part of this world! We are allpart of the same race!(human beings) Peace will save us! God loves all of us! If you believe in god then you must love every human being! This video was great not because it preaches about Islam but because the message within it is a good message. God will help us learn to live with love and peace!
Great job on the video. I think people are having a hard time comprehending the message behind the video, which is being kind to your parents and having patience.
And for those you simply argue for the sake of it, I say grow up and have a lollipop or two.
I sincerely appreciate you taking time to try to justify the idea that jihad justifies the killing of innocents according to the Quran. But it doesn't really justify anything because murdering innocents by vest bombs or IEDs simply cannot be justified by any rational, thinking person. When YOU create a website condemning or even strongly chastising fellow muslims for their terror acts then you might encourage people to begin to think Islam does in fact equate to Peace. Up to the challenge?
Where in the Quran does is say you act in a 'positive' manner when without permission you alter another's work & re-form it to become what it wasn't intended? Is personal integrity not a goal the Quran strives to instill? Also, I'm surprised wanted proof: Quran 4:95, 8:39, 9:42 plus a good 40 more. Also, Bukhari 52:177, 52:256, Muslim 20:4645, 20:4696, and Tabari 9:69 to name a very few more. All are promotions of war - including upon the innocent. Islam: Not not a religion of Peace.
Are you the creator of the video? I don't think so, so what makes you think i did it without permission?
You know i can take any holy book and take verses out of context and make them look like they promote something else...but you don't even seem to know what those verses are even talking about..
Lets take every verse into account, and expose your ignorance to everyone..
The video and that which it promoted were indeed beautiful until your edit. Truly a sentiment and lifestyle promoted by God. By the way, you noted you need not apologize for adding words of YOUR god. (Small 'g') Is this the same 'god' who exhorts his followers to kill innocent babies with IEDs and vest bombs? Polluted thinking, indeed! But with so many mindless morons around to follow such teachings, the hoped for 72 virgins will only turn out to be the demons of Hell. Shameful! Peace.
I was very disappointed when hearing your add on vocal. After recommending your video countless times to others, I had again returned to this video in order to embed it within a Site I am developing for the benefit of families with Alzheimers. You've shown extremely poor taste when taking such a beautiful sentiment and great teaching aid which is certainly of value to all and turning it as you have. I cannot, of course, any longer recommend your video. Does the word 'shame' mean anything?
these people just know how to rip off .. and how to ruin beauty. you are duranali just nonsense. i live in Turkey and yet we know how to separate muslim religion from daily life. God save your country. because only He can do that.
I do know what the word pollute means. That is why I used it and it applies. If the director of this wonderful film wanted to add those verses, it would have been appropriate. He spent probably the better part of a year writing, casting, and filming that video. You on the other hand maybe spent an hour adding poorly applied graphics and shrill music to an otherwise quite and contemplative film.
of course you can show your religion. but not on the this video because there is no religion on the video. Maybe for you everything religion, but not for other people. I am arabic I can understand your prayer. What about other people? who can understand your prayer? I can't write you anymore because i can't change your reason. Alla maek
why did you put prayer end of video? Probably you have some complex about your religion. and you know what, video from greece and greek people are not muslim. They are orthodoks christian.
look I live in middle east (Turkey) i am arabic christian. We live together with our muslim friends. There is no problem in our each other. Because When we meet each other we don't speak about religion. i have respect for them religion. They have respect for my religion, but if you show your religion everywhere to us there is a problem man. Because you think your religion is best religion in the world. If you look from my side my religion is the best in the world.
this video is in Greek of course, but let's not forget that there are some Greeks who chose to become muslim for their own reasons.
On the other hand the original video does not have those chants and no additional writing beyond the production credits. And it's wrong to publicize a video that's been altered that way. It's misrepresentation.
Its not misrepresentation, its only giving more information...don't judge something you don't know...you said "Chants"...but thats the holy book of the muslims...so ignorance can be problem.
It IS misrepresentation, if you want to add something don't steal a foreign video. Make your own video.
As for ignorance you have it backwards. I've been a musician since your grandfather was in diapers, and I know the definition of "chant". Not the definition that YOU know which every other stupid person has basterdized, ok?
And second, what you added to the video that is not yours is monophonic, AND a chant which uses 28 diphthong increments.
A timely reminder whatever your faith to take a moment to reflect on the commit
ment and time parents invest in their children and that it is gratitude and not attitude that should be given to them even though this is not always easy
This was so powerful! I like to take mom out to lunch before her doctor appointments. As soon as she sits down, she starts asking me, "Is it time to go yet?" A few minutes later, she will ask, "What time is my appointment?" and then follow up with , "Is it time to go yet?" This will continue throughout the entire meal. It's hard to stay patient with her. This video is a wonderful way to remember to be patient.
Its not propaganda, its just that people are ignorant of what The Qur'an is...If you don't know what it is, then search, but don't come here and write your ignorant...we are not interested...if you like to watch the video, watch it...if not, i think you are at least intelligent enough to leave.
Herodesh is right. This creators of the original did not need to resort to banal religious platitudes to get their point across. Shame on duranall for altering it. Watch the original on the side bar.
First of all, if you don't like the video, im sure there are other versions of it...and secondly, this is called internet, and i think i can do whatever i want...
This is the words of God at the end of the video...from the Quran...
If you don't like listening it...then im sure there is tons of other videos which are same as this one who don't have Quran at the end...so keep your comments to yourselfs...
The super-imposition of the text and chant at the end is surplus to this film. Totally unnecessary and does not appear on the original version. It comes across as hijacking.
lol Greeks won't be too happy about the what you added to the end of the video. Why do you have to go and make it religious? Besides this annoying screaming is the opposite of what this short clip is all about.
i dont know about this statement as there were many civilizations with no religions that were not good to each other....there were islands in the pacific that practiced canibalism before the introduction of religion by missionaries for example
Great example a lot of people in the world have no patience and zero tolerance for others, we should all contemplate on this life and the life to come
thank you for sharing this video, it made me cry and it made me miss my parents. sometimes we tend to take the people who love us for granted. thank you for this reminder.
I had to watch this school. While everyone else was laughing, I was crying. This video is so inspirational.

Why do you, Muslims, try to pervert everything you touch? This clip has not been created by you, so leave it as it is!

NouNouNaki 2 years ago 4
@NouNouNaki the thing is that in Islam, respecting your parents is the most important thing, that may let u enter heaven or hell if u didn't
so they are so related to each other ^^

I really love this video and the message at the back was so touching. And anyway, what Surah of the Quran is this quote from? This is definitely the only video that can reduce me to tears.

Thanks for the nice comment.

Asalamu Alaikum Akhi,
Great job on the video.

Up to the challenge?
wpmahlermm 2 years ago
@wpmahlermm
Where does it say that killing innocent people is justified in Islam? i need your proof?
and by the way, you can't tell me what to do...
Islam isn't equal to Peace for your information...Islam promotes JUSTICE...and where there is no justice, there is no peace..
When western armies get out Muslim land...then there will be a peace..before that..NO..
duranali 2 years ago
@wpmahlermm
What is your religion anyways?
duranali 2 years ago
Where in the Quran does is say you act in a 'positive' manner when without permission you alter another's work & re-form it to become what it wasn't intended? Is personal integrity not a goal the Quran strives to instill? Also, I'm surprised wanted proof: Quran 4:95, 8:39, 9:42 plus a good 40 more. Also, Bukhari 52:177, 52:256, Muslim 20:4645, 20:4696, and Tabari 9:69 to name a very few more. All are promotions of war - including upon the innocent. Islam: Not not a religion of Peace.
wpmahlermm 2 years ago
@wpmahlermm

Shameful! Peace.

I challenge you to find anything that support your claim...you know everyone can say blah blah but proof works..
Bring a verse from the Quran that supports ur claim...
as i said before...this is public video and i didnt use it for any negative purpose..

Im proud that I have added what I added to this video, and if you don't like it...thats not my problem.
I never asked you to recommend it to anyone...

What a shame to pollute this wonderful story...
ericrosswiksten 2 years ago 2
Pollute? Do you even know what that means?
I just added Verses from the Qur'an...and if you don't like it...that aint my business
duranali 2 years ago
I do know what the word pollute means. That is why I used it and it applies. If the director of this wonderful film wanted to add those verses, it would have been appropriate. He spent probably the better part of a year writing, casting, and filming that video. You on the other hand maybe spent an hour adding poorly applied graphics and shrill music to an otherwise quite and contemplative film.
You're a hack.
ericrosswiksten 2 years ago
@ericrosswiksten
Music? is that how far your knowledge goes?
The director made the video public and I didn't use it for any negative purpose...
My friend, to educate you, this isn't music, its the words of God...
The Quran...the holy book of Muslims...
if you feel offended or don't like it...i don't have to apologize...you can move on.

of course you can show your religion. but not on the this video because there is no religion on the video. Maybe for you everything religion, but not for other people. I am arabic I can understand your prayer. What about other people? who can understand your prayer? I can't write you anymore because i can't change your reason. Alla maek
elluso 2 years ago
why did you put prayer end of video? Probably you have some complex about your religion. and you know what, video from greece and greek people are not muslim. They are orthodoks christian.
elluso 2 years ago
Are you sure about that? i think you need to check your facts.
duranali 2 years ago
look I live in middle east (Turkey) i am arabic christian. We live together with our muslim friends. There is no problem in our each other. Because When we meet each other we don't speak about religion. i have respect for them religion. They have respect for my religion, but if you show your religion everywhere to us there is a problem man. Because you think your religion is best religion in the world. If you look from my side my religion is the best in the world.
elluso 2 years ago
Please don't compare religions in each other. If you believe to Allah(a.s.) , He doesn't like about this situation. Because we believe to same God.

this video is in Greek of course, but let's not forget that there are some Greeks who chose to become muslim for their own reasons.
On the other hand the original video does not have those chants and no additional writing beyond the production credits. And it's wrong to publicize a video that's been altered that way. It's misrepresentation.
manoljo 2 years ago
Its not misrepresentation, its only giving more information...don't judge something you don't know...you said "Chants"...but thats the holy book of the muslims...so ignorance can be problem.
duranali 2 years ago
It IS misrepresentation, if you want to add something don't steal a foreign video. Make your own video.
As for ignorance you have it backwards. I've been a musician since your grandfather was in diapers, and I know the definition of "chant". Not the definition that YOU know which every other stupid person has basterdized, ok?
And second, what you added to the video that is not yours is monophonic, AND a chant which uses 28 diphthong increments.
So don't preach to a musician about ignorance.

A beautiful and thoughtful video. The same sentiment is uttered in the Bible: "Honor your father and your mother.".
dexterdigital 2 years ago 2

The super-imposition of the text and chant at the end is surplus to this film. Totally unnecessary and does not appear on the original version. It comes across as hijacking.

lol Greeks won't be too happy about the what you added to the end of the video. Why do you have to go and make it religious? Besides this annoying screaming is the opposite of what this short clip is all about.
lekotar 2 years ago
are you sure? that QURAN (words of God) are the opposite of what the video is about? maybe you need glasses or improve your reading..
duranali 2 years ago
This short clip is not about religion. Because in normal countries people are good with each other even if it is not written in a religious book.
lekotar 2 years ago
Ok, but the verses i wrote at end and the video agree? then why do you say they are opposite?
Islam is not only "religion", its WAY OF LIFE...so, anything can be driven from it...and this situation is being nice to your parents...
duranali 2 years ago
i dont know about this statement as there were many civilizations with no religions that were not good to each other....there were islands in the pacific that practiced canibalism before the introduction of religion by missionaries for example

There's no civilization without any form of religion. Besides that has nothing to do with what I meant.
