  • The federal government never had a right to dictate what a person puts in their own body in the first place. Edward's solution was more federal control under a different name. Stop voting in these freedom stripping, self-interest loving politicians.

  • What a stupid answer. FDA has been as irresponsible in its unwillingness to sanction medical cannabis as the staunchest opponent. Their business is to authorize medications that can be patented; they are handmaidens to big pharma and could care less about sanctioning medicinally effective cannabinoids that are currently available in an unpatentable form.

  • @fuzzyone99

We know know that John Edwards is the same kind of fraud as John Edward

  • ..(not to mention that it rots ur brain after extended abuse) oh yah they benefit directly from that aswell... and they keep something away from you that will destroy ur short term memory if u abuse it ( not to evan mention the benifits from use, since there are NO benefits from cigarettes or alcohol)... Lame system if you ask me.

  • What is wrong with some of you.. the only things worse than Marajuana is the Legal cigarettes ur government infects you with and profits from, and the alcohol that only removes you inhabitions increasing crime and violence

  • John Edwards...a liar and cheater.

  • CANCER CURE = HEMP OIL

  • you can`t use pot,but i can fuck anyone i want to! because i`m just like God!

  • Obama supports the bipartisan New Energy Reform Act. McCain opposes it.

The New Energy Reform Act has four basic components:

-- Opens additional areas for drilling, while preserving national treasures like ANWR.

-- Dedicates $20 billion to R&D alternative fuels.

-- Creates tax incentives to save energy.

-- Closes tax loopholes for big oil.

If you can afford $520 Ferragamo shoes, you can afford to play politics with the energy crisis. But I'm glad Obama is looking for real solutions now!

  • I would have to agree, that med-mary jane is better than the anti-depressant drugs. I have seen several people worse off after taking anti-depressants. In this instance, I would support an initiative.

  • examples?

  • There's allmost nothing more "traditional" than weed. Used a few thousand years as a medicine now.

  • most drugs are from weed('s)

  • Legalize it worldwide! we love ganja.

  • Man, I wish Edwards was the nominee.

  • Too many people wanted to say that they voted for the first "black/women" president to let a white guy win the nomination, even if his ideas were better then the other two candidates.

  • This is a great running mate for Obama. (The next president probably wont be reelected so a republican winning will be no big deal. The winning president will be blamed for all the laws passed by bush that will go into effect at the sart of their term, and they wont have 2/3's of congress to overturn it.)

  • i hate how all politicians try and let authorities choose whats good for us. what happened to freedom of choice

  • its interesting facts that weed users live 2 years longer then the average life expectancy, it has no long term effects if used properly. theres more then one way to ingest it not just smoking! there are no additives! it was grown by every single us fore father and even jefferson has been quoted in saying he smoked it. hemp oil was the number one source of that used in cars and other machinery not crude as today before it was made illegal. its the oldest used sacrament in holy practices.

  • "its interesting facts that weed users live 2 years longer then the average life expectancy"

    Where'd you find that stat???

  • Quick google search will show various links that do proof life expectancy does increase amongst medical cannabis users. Especially those with Asthma(not smoking of course), Anxiety/Depression, AIDs, Cancer and other various serious ailments. I got my stat 2nd hand from a medical professional so i apologize i cannot provide a direct medical link to show its true. However no one can prove it decreases life expectancy if used properly.

  • One could say though that the top things that do kill in north america are Anxiety/Depression related illnesses, AIDs, and Cancer. That if medicinal cannabis were used in treatment and already do prove that life expectancy does increase with medicinal use of the plant. That overall it probably does and would increase the life expectancy. Especially those with Anxiety/Depression which affects almost everyone at some point in their life. Weed calms your body down its a natural stress/pain reliever

  • I agree with all of this, but I'm just wondering about the anxiety/depression stuff, b/c there is a correlation b/w using marijuana heavily recreationally and depression. The thing is though is that doctors throw it out as if it is causing depression although they VERY well know correlation is not causation, so I wonder if it's just b/c the ppl that tend to smoke it heavily for recreational purposes are just depressed already. I don't know. What do you think about that???

  • I use cannabis personally for medicinal reasons to help my anxiety to stop depression. My anxiety is a bi product of ADD as its harder to cope with well.. life all at once. Cannabis calms me down to think more rationally and not stress that can lead to depression. But i would never say weed is the cause of this depression its the anxiety. Ive only been taking for a year now and its the only thing that works ritalin, wellbutrin as well as other things i have been put on by doctors simply dont.

  • I can only speak for myself however. But it is my sincere opinion that the arguement that it causes depression/gateway drug is bogus. People can turn to mind altering substances and abuse them for one reason and one reason only - ESCAPE. Some ppl dont know what they are escaping or even that they are and even if they do know they dont necessarily know how to cope. thus the depression. The key to fighting it is finding out how to cope. Many though end up abusing their bodies in a negative way.

  • i agree. ive been smoking pot for years and ive never tried any other drugs. the whole gateway theory is just to scare people. however, i do disagree with the fact that people do drugs to "escape". People do drugs for curiosity. Think about it, if you've never tried cocaine before and you're having a bad day your not gonna think "oh im having a bad day let me see if this will fix it". People do it for curiosity, hell, that's why i tried pot.

  • The problem is the inability to get education and help to ppl with medical bills so high and rates for counselers and pyshciatrists its sometimes impossible to get help esp those from the ghettos who have no money. Its very easy to see how such a cycle can exist. But give someone something to chase and abuse and blame it on depression. Should be also interesting to note that the majority of hard drug addicted people typically grow up in a family where there is no father figure present.

  • Parents give skills to kids as they bring them up to cope with life. So that later in life how are they able to cope if they are not taught?(single parent families can still do this) This and many other REAL reasons can be attributed to depression and drug addiction. If you dont have the skills how can you expect some1 to cope with life? Most ppl just needed a educating figure in their life or need one now but cant afford or know that there is help. So many run/get addicted to drugs.

  • And its certainly better for your mind and body then the terrible things that Anti-Dep drugs can give you. U can go to any doctor and they will glady write you up a prescription for those terrible meds. Though it seems every year at least one gets banned or pulled from the market because of serious harmful side effects. Because its such an easy cash grab for pharm comp they push them through approval process as fast as possible. Weed though if used properly simply calms and treats its natural!

  • sonic2394, did you know that in fact there are no additives in marijuana, just good old fucking trees. Please evolve

  • he endorsed obama

    Vote Obama

  • I know, yey! That was exciting.

  • lets blaze a big 1 4'em

  • Hey Sonic2394 why dont you get a life, make some friends, lose some weight, and go back to high school you ignorant fuck. I hope you arent old enough to vote. Mind your own fucking business, stay out of peoples lives, stop judging people and and worry about your own problems. If you haven't tried Marijuana then stop criticizing it you fuck. You arent making any sense right now and you remind me of some stupid politician who spits out bullshit propaganda.

  • It's a plant that grows out of the dirt and makes people feel good, it's just that simple. Paople have a choice to use it, if you don't shut the hell up then and keep your opinion to yourself. "before you knock it try first, then you will see that it a gift and not a curse..."

  • People like Sonic2394 are just ignorant and want people to be miserable just like him. There is nothing wrong with Medical Marijuana or regular Marijuana use. I have been using Marijuana since I was 13 and im 64 right now and there has not been one negative side effect for me. The people who dont support Marijuana are the ones who havent even tried it yet or they have been brainwashed by the government and all of the bullshit propaganda.

  • I don't know where you're coming from with your twisted logic, but I think you should do some research, and maybe some experimentation before you go around making false claims.

  • Marijuana has been proven in numerous studies to cause NO physical addiction. Some people may become psychologically addicted (like one might be to bubble gum or iced tea), but that is a dependence, not a true addiction. I have never seen anyone act like a drug addicted fiend while smoking marijuana. The craziest thing I've ever witnessed while smoking is making a dorito sandwich.

  • would u rather your loved ones die and suffer than use marijuana as well?

  • i would rather die and suffer then use marijuana in any form or term anyone may give it.

  • its ppl like you medical and non medical marijuana that it is illegal for no reason. If you don't believe marijuana should be legalized then fine but millions of ppl pay the price at the expense of ur unjustified political views

-just so everyone knows marijuana was illegalized as a Government scam to get mexican immagrants out of the country

  • thank you for making your last point. Sometimes I feel like the reason for its illegalization is completely overlooked. Racism is the reason sick people can't get their medicine.

  • this has nothing to do with racism. First im not racist at all. It is a DRUG which can be highly addictive and warp a persons mind, doesnt anyone realize that?

  • wow - that is the craziest statement I have ever heard. Marijuana was made illegal as a way to legally deport mexicans living in texas. They couldn't get them on anything else so they made the one things that most mexicans had in common (their cultivation of the PLANT marijuana) illegal. Our nation's founding fathers grew and used marijuana and it's byproduct, hemp (which was our nation's main crop).

  • Yeah, chlsymarie, I found out about that when I was watching a documentary on drugs, and I was so socked that the reason they made it illegal was to get rid of mexican immigrants... They also did all of this crazy propaganda saying it will make you commit murder, b/c a paranoid psychizophrenic killed his mother and he happened to also smoke pot. Do you think it might have been the little paranoid psychizophrenic part that made him kill his mother?

  • In earlier times hemp was (and still is) used to make a variety of things including robe, tanning lotion, clothing, bedding, and all kinds of other materials.

  • Why did the Mexicans ever start using it in the 1st place? can you answer me that chlsymarie? Why did they need to cultivate it, and all of sudden....Start smoking it! NOW thats the stupidest thing i ever heard in my entire life. Thats why i say its not racism, thats just an excuse for stoners/pro-drug people. Its the source, the drug plant which can be abused today, which is why it is Illegal everywhere.

  • Even today hemp is an extremely used product. They are actually finding that hemp produces a better ethanol than corn, which would be a wonderful solution to the fact that using corn to produce ethanol would increase the cost of corn as a food product.

  • People used it before the mexicans used it. They had a huge problem with the mexicans and they had no other way of getting rid of them... People abuse alcohol too, and we don't ban that drug. If we ban marijuana, we should ban alcohol, b/c alcohol is worse...

  • And what about medicinal use? It has helped so many ppl with relieving there chronic pain. Look at all of the narcotics that doctors prescribe. Those are so extremely addictive and so many ppl who go on them for pain end up in rehab b/c of it. Do you really think this is a better idea than marijuana???

  • Do some research on when they started banning marijuana and you'll realize it was solely to get rid of mexican immigrants. All historians agree... So, should I believe your theory or should I believe the historians... Hmmm

  • You cannot overdose on marijuana, and it is not physcially addictive unlike alcohol. Alcohol also cause violent behavior; whereas, marijuana makes people mellow(sp?) and happy. Do research before claiming marijuana is highly addictive and warps a persons mind, b/c alcohol is the highly addictive one, and is the one that warps peoples minds to cause so much violent and criminal behavior...

  • Oops, sorry chlsymarie, just realized I repeated what you already said...

  • I already know all kinds of Alcohol is addictive you didnt need to tell that, i dont encourage it either that would be stupid, but its also Extremely stupid to promote Pot, its COMMON SENSE. You are probaly brainwashed by other people saying "pot is good, it makes you feel good buddy!" then you are a true fool.

  • I don't promote pot. I'm just pointing out that it is not highly addictive and you can't overdose on it, which shows it is much better than alcohol which is a legal drug. I hardly smoke it at all, just with my friends a few times a yr. Pot has helped many of these ppl with pain, and everyone knows how addictive the prescription narcotic pain killers are... WAY worse than pot.

  • This argument has nothing to do with "getting high". If the government would legalize marijuana the they could regulate it, making it nearly impossible to buy a product that is laced with something else. It would also generate tons of money from the taxes (similar to cigarette and liquor taxes) for the government to use on things like universal healthcare, government day care programs and better funding for our children's schools.

  • It will sterilze a person, and it is addictive. If it's not why are people still continueing to abuse it? Just like ALL drugs and Alcohol they all have some type of additives that can hurt the human body in 1 way or the other even Pot. This "Weed" warps a mind in a way that can change emotions, choices and feelings making it look like the person is raving mad. Im sick of tring to prove a point cause i cant change a persons mind cause you decide your own fate.

  • It does not make a person raving mad, lol. So, what is your plan for handling chronic pain, the extremely addictive narcotics doctors prescribe? Marijuana is not physically addictive, and you cannot overdose on it. Do some research before you debate a topic. It is the least harmful drug that exists...

  • Would you seriously rather die than smoke pot? LOL. You must be suicidal...

  • man i rather smoke as i always do hehe

  • Sonic2394 I am assuming you take suc ha view on the topic because you yourself felt you were abusing marijuana and could not control it and hence you blamed marijuana for some of the bad choices you made in your life,... understandable but your wrong pal

when i get high i know i am high and i am still the same person, as long as your not an immature 12 year old you should be ok

  • boy oh boy you must be kidding or you are a diehard dope fiend. i would hate to be you when you turn 45. Oh and by the way im 25 years old and I DON'T NEED DRUGS TO MAKE ME HAPPY! I dont need anything that could do harm to my body to make me happy. Smoke all you want until you die, isnt that the stoners motto? Thats pretty sad.

  • thanks for agreeing with me

  • to bad

    he would of been grate

  • damn i woulda voted for him if I knew that!!!

  • what would you say about legalizing it once for all?!! that would be smart! we wont stop smoking it!! we love you Marijane!!

  • god, he probably would've been a good president.

thanks again, mainstream media, for choosing our candidates for us and giving us the ILLUSION of freedom and choice.

    ROMNEY IS THE ANTI-CHRIST!

  • HOW BOUT U LET ME FUCKING SMOKE AND ILL LET U DRINK.....drinking kills 100 times or more people than marijuana every year!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @mjerina77 100 times? That dosn't make sense since 100 times zero is ZERO!!

  • @mjerina77 100 times 0 is 0 silly.

  • obama-edwards 2008...that would make me so happy

  • Obama - Edwards 2008 !!!

  • edwards doesnt realize that the federal govt doesnt have the constitutional authoirty to throw ppl in jail if the state made it law to legalize medical use....

    RON PAUL 08

  • Neither Obama or Clinton have the backbone to speak honestly on this issue (watch the vids where they're called on their views, Obama's is especially interesting), and McCain is an authoritarian who would happily continue the failed War on Drugs forever.

It saddens me when we live in a world where good men like Edwards and Ron Paul don't have a chance of the top job because they dare to speak the truth.

  • right on well said

  • the FDA really sucks though.....

  • Okay..the FDA allowed Bayer Aspirin to send "aids infected" Pediatric hemophiliac drugs to other countries, with NO PENALTY! The FDA is a bunch of ELITIST pimping out the AMERICAN PEOPLE's HEALTH for a BUCK!

  • I love that dude, He's asked EVERY candidate about medical marijuana. Awesome persistence.

  • yea agreed.

Judging by the responses he's got so far. Giuliani and romney = ignorant jackasses.

Ron Paul and John Edwards = Understand the war on drugs isnt working.

  • john edwards - supports larger federal govt

ron paul - supports state-control over these issues (constitutional)

  • agreed... that's where my vote will be going for sure!

    Ron paul ftw

  • sry, i think the feds do have superseding legal authority,,,of course theres probly some controversy over that as well

This is what I hate.. there is no more freedom. It should be FREEDOM of choice..

ALSO.. what if these other medications are more of a hefty price?

  • if i want to smoke weed, instead of drinking alcohol..

Re reading my comment, it sounds like I smoke alcohol :P

  • WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A leading U.S. doctors group has endorsed using marijuana for medical purposes, urging the government to roll back a prohibition on using it to treat patients and supporting studies into its medical applications.

  • blah! fda. theyd have never sold aspirin off the shelf if they knew they could make so much money off it-because it fixes so many things.

  • yah know I knida like John!

  • God damn I wish we'd have elected Edwards. Such a thoughtful and electable candidate.

  • While i think he's much better than any of the current frontrunners... i still dont trust him.

    CFR, hardcore pro israel, socialist.

I could never vote for edwards, but i do respect his response to this question.

  • CFR is moot, all the presidential candidates are either a part of or were recently a part of. obama, clinton, mccain, etc...

  • yeh the FDA wouldnt totaly fuck the medi program up.... yeh right. they would slap huge taxes on it, tell you that you cant grow it, and that you can only buy it from FDA aproved farms at a huge profit. fucking gay.

  • so so so true!

  • LISTEN UP All of you pot heads, Juan McCain is WINNING, and you're worried about pot? You'd better be worried about LaRaza getting votes and taking over this country once Juan McCain is the next prez of the U.S. Bush's legacy continues with Juan McCain and the Latinos will WIN over 300 MILLION Americans!

  • the use of marijuana for depression is a legitimate medical reason, I smoke marijuana as a way to ease depression and stess, I have been on other medications under the supervision of doctors who have agreed that if marijuana makes me feel better than the prescriptions than it makes more since to smoke marijuana wich has no adverse side effects than to take prescriptions wich may

  • This "medical marijuana" is a campaign to legalise marijuana : that is all. It's a tactic. We need a full debate. Otherwise,we will see people smoking marijuana for depression!!! on medical grounds

  • yeah so, is there a problem with that?

  • The problem is we should debate legalisation openly, that's all.

  • So, what's the problem with that? You'd rather the big pharmaceutical companies continue to be only the Government approved drug pushers?

  • No: lets have an honest debate about full legalisation rather than sending folks out in wheel chairs. If we are not careful, able-bodied users will be asking their dealers for a free-wheel chair ( to be legal !!).

    Rgds HD

  • bull shit.

im a legal user, its really easy to get, only takes $150 for a license, and you have to have real reasons. me, i have insomnia, depression, add, and anxiety. MMJ is the only thing that helps(actually completely cures) my terrible depression...

  • Oh nos!

Responsible people whom happen to be abled body, smoking marijuana! instead of getting drunk off of their asses!

    THROW THEM IN JAIL!

  • Don't smoke marijuana for depression!

    There is valium for that!

  • he answered the question better than mitt romney at least

  • The FDA!!! LOL!!! The FDA back in the 70's said that marijuana has no physical or mental effects on anything natural occuring in the body. In fact, they even said that it's the perfect treatment and practically a "miracle drug."

Money is being made when drugs are illegal so basically we have no say weither or not its going to be legal.

  • The FDA is under heavy litigation for its statement of marijuana having no medical value when a 1999 NIH study has proved otherwise.

  • Ron Paul will stop the federal raids.

  • don't you dare give up on Dr. Paul. Because that means you give up on your fight for freedom. don't beleive the media, they may be fighting against paul but thats because they are afriad of him actually winning. also, expose the vote fraud going on, and Ron Paul can win!

  • HikaruYamamoto, I also believe there is voting fraud going on. Bush stole TWO elections, and he will make sure McCain gets in to continue his legacy that will bring DOWN America!!!

  • too bad FDA isn't acting according to science but is reacting to power and money. I wish that these people would open their eyes to that, I used to trust FDA before I had to go to pain management and continually got sick from pharm FDA aproved prescribtions. I know better now. :(

  • now, who's got their underwear in a bunch?! smoking marijuana has way less side affects than some of the pills they come up with! it's like they just don't give a shit about anything but how fat their wallets get and to hell with everybody else...that's why they are not listening to you, and these people shall have their weed...

  • good answer except for the fact that the FDA does not support medical marijuana over harmful drugs like morphine and oxycodone.

  • I agree. Hunh? The FDA?

Whatever happened to our Constitution. These guys seem to keep forgetting about it. Pursuit of Happiness. Yeah, there are people who over-indulge, but, like AA or weight-watchers, that's a secular problem.

  • I love the way you summed it up!

  • It was late so I wasn't as wordy as usual. Sure, political football. Edwards is well-intentioned, but he's young. This cannabis issue is political because it challenges those who ignore civil rights. "Life, Liberty and Civil Rights". Cannabis is an instrument by which people can gauge how quickly people are ready to deny those rights. Also, can our leaders recognise our needs, boost our morale, so there's a sober life worth living.

  • The FDA, sheesh, certification costs a pile of money. They pander to patent medicine salesmen. Other herbs are sold without FDA approval on condition they don't make medical claims, so the uses can't be on the labeling. Is somebody collecting kickbacks on this? Harmful patent medicines get approved and now the salesmen are trying to force Universal Health Care on us and prevent us from growing herbs the Bible says God created for our use.

  • I understand Bulwinkl42...Who created the seed and the water that falls from the sky to grow the seed? Until "The World Comes To End" I will continue to grow and smoke pot. Further more...why are political leaders (Guiliani* whateva) going to put the FDA in charge of medical marijuana and its uses...when they just legalized or made public that they will start using cloned animals for meat and milk in the US. Never trust the FDA...hell the American government.

  • nice political spin edwards, the FDA has officially stated "that it had definitively established that marijuana has no medical use or value whatsoever"

  • marijuana does have a medical use for the sick. marijuana decreases nausea in patients who are very sick and other medicines sometimes don't work as well. Its very unhealthy but thier are already very sick to begin with and are not goin to be living for much longer.

  • i know that, I'm just talking about how this politician spin by saying he's for medical marijuana that saying it should be up to the FDA which is in strong oppsition to medical marijuana. i peronsonally i'm for medical marijuana

  • FDA! WHAT!!???

    Ron Paul'08

  • in the similar "related" video with John McCain, @1:55 John almost slipped, he said "much more ... better treatments for pain", he ALMOST said "much more PROFITABLE" since the AMA is mostly run by Big Pharma executives, as is the FDA, etc. they rotate every few years, taking turns telling "free" people what plants they can't ingest.

  • "simonjeste," in your assumption about what McCain "ALMOST said," you reveal your pre-conceived, conspiracy-laden, leftists attitudes toward a very beneficial govt entity, the FDA. Problem is, the first thing that happens when babies ingest lead from Chinese toys, is "why didn't the FDA catch this?" No govt entity can be perfect, but it is alot better in the US than before it was created.

  • He's going to "put a stop to" the DEA busting drug dealers as President?

    Did anyone else hear this?

The Mexican Mafia is the primary source of this so-called medicine, it's not the longhairs anymore.

  • so-called medicine? dude, did you not see the proof that THC prevents cancer? You gotta do your research man.

  • Well.. if they legalized it..

Wouldn't it make sense that americans could legally grow it and profit from it?

And then the "mexican mafia" would no longer profit?

  • Absolutely and stop the synthetics at the border

  • the fda is a bunch of asses theyed do the same as bush... ron paul would leave it completely to the state no federal interference at all!!!!!!!!!!! RON PAUL, RON PAUL, RON PAUL 2008

  • surprising answer.

  • The "pothead hippie/punk" stereotype needs to stop. Marijuana users are people just like you and me. They have jobs, they vote, and yes, most of them do shave.

These stereotypes people spread about marijuana users are just as wrong and as hurtful as any stereotype against people because of their skin color or religion, so please educate yourself before you go making assumptions.

  • Ever watch knocked up?

That movie actually slightly offended me..

How MOST pot heads in movies are these STUPID fuckers..

then you look at movies with very intelligent detectives.. and guess what.. they are ALCOHOLICS.

  • lol yeeess, one of those kids. oh those no good punks! all they do is smoke weed and "berel work the minimum to get by for the next joint" ^^^^

    (sarcasm by the way)

whats wrong with punks? lets not sterotype with the smoking of weed and the shit look shall we?

  • LOL "you obviously follow this very closely" classic; I love it. The only facially ungroomed nappy looking shit in the crowd. Hes gotta be one of those punk rockers

  • I think he has cancer... hence following it becuase he uses it as medication

  • wow, thats gotta be one of the dumbest things ive ever heard sumthin like 18% of the population are current marijuana users not even 18% of the population looks like that (it was eitehr 18% or 8% im not sure but either way still holds true

  • Listen it looks like that guy could use a job (although who are you to say he doesn't?) but do you even know what painkillers are?

Have you heard of Morphine? Oxycontin? Percocet? Vicodin? Heroine? these substances are just as, if not much more addictive than marijuana and come with significant side-effects. For example: Not only do people get extreamly addicted to oxycontin, they can OD and die on it.

No one in history has overdosed from marijuana.

  • i agree with you, but just so you know there has never been a study done that has show cannabis to be addictive. Every one that i know that has smoked pot for a long time and decided to stop for one reason or another was able to stop cold turkey no problem.

  • narcotics induce serius states of nausea, and if they have cancer than they are likely vomiting food and since marijuana speeds up your metabolism your stomech digests food with alot more ease Hence the "Munchies"exercise has this same effect, ever get hungry after the gym? but not all cancer patients can leave their bed and go for a walk. so if it can help them eat and hold their food down and relieve pain at the same time, why take that bit of freedom? anyways-Ron Paul 08

  • wow thats one of the dumbest things ive heard, yet again you do realize normal painkillers are heroin in pills right and oh by teh way sir do you drink?? because that has been proven by even the fda in 78 and may other studies is worse for you than marijuana.

  • free the weed! kick out the old farts who believe the war on drugs is winnable

    FDA Fine Doobie Always

Hey all you folks in jail for a joint, god bless you, hang in there! we'll get you out soon. The next progressive compassionate President(Jan 9th '09) will get to appoint maybe 2 supreme court judges who probably smoked a little when they were younger hehe puff puff

  • He's very political, put it under the responsibility of the FDA. That means pot will never be legal if this guy gets elected.

  • ron paul 420

  • vote ron paul08!!!

  • I'll give fluffy half a point on this. The FDA is a waste of space, but if he'll call off the thugs that's a good thing.

Ron Paul is still the only candidate who's acknowledged that the federal government doesn't have any constitutional authority to ban marijuana, though.

    -jcr

  • Ditto Respondo on this one.

  • Everybody should be able to smoke whatever as long as they dont do anything stupid on it.

    Go John Edwards

  • its really simple people.. the gov.. doesnt give a shit what happens to u.. they only want to profit from you.. they dont want u to use YOUR drugs.. but they want us to use THEIR drugs... if they cared so much.. why isnt illegal to be fat?????? its bad for our health..

  • wouldn't it be cool if Cigarette companies started making pot filled cigarettes instead and TAXED them/treated them like alchohol!

THINK OF THE PROFITS THEY COULD MAKE!

remember Panama Red, Alaskan Thunderfuk, Alcapolco Gold

  • FIRST.. marijuana isnt addictive.. if ur smart.. youll know that chocolates are more addictive.. coffee is addictive.. beer.. is addictive.. cigs.. are addicted... the only reason marijuana is not legal is because... too many big corp will not benefit from this.. and will loose money.. medicine companies will loose money... and a lot more.. u can make.. paper, clothes, oil(for cars)ect..

  • why wouldnt you let the states handle this? let there be at least a haven for people who want to use drugs, unless you're completely against personal freedoms altogether..

  • booboolane i am fighting to legalize drugs everywhere and let people do as they see fit. now if they take drugs and kill someone or drive while on those drugs we give them harsh penalties. it is that simple. that is what the law should be in all states.

    Vote ron Paul

  • stop using force to get people to do what you want them to do. let people do what they want as long as they do not use force, theft or fraud. on other people.

    vote Ron Paul

  • alan, Ronnie Paul is the only one who talks of ending the corrupt War on Drugs but Ronnie is also an ardent anti-abort god-silly. He's unable to comprehend that those two positionscontradict the basic logic of what he claims to embrace: Small-Guv-mint.

    That's 'sadder and not (bud)wiser'.

  • actually under ron paul both those issues would be decided by the states. now that is federalism and that is what our country was founded on and what made our country great.

    Vote Ron Paul 2008

  • Then there is little for a president given Ron Paul's logic; we really don't even need a CIC. We can run the military by committee. And if abort is first degree murder, it should NEVER "be decided by the states."

There's our villianous hypocrisy on what should be a categorically private issue-------abort.

There should be no mention of religion at any level and no faith-based iniatives; it's another private issue. Let god take care of god.
