My school uses iPads for each person cause they are cheaper than MacBooks, and it's easier to push apps for each device using a central server than making everyone navigate to a website and download from there. When you make them download it from a website, it uses so much internet. With the iPads, you free up so much internet bandwidth!

I think that they really need to bring this guy back for $899. 4 GB of ram, 250 GB hard drive, 2.4 GHz Core 2 Duo, Intel HD Graphics 3000 or whatever that new one is.

I love my MacBook. When I got it, it had the exact same specs as the MacBook Pro 13 inch with a bigger hard drive, and the ports is not a problem because i have an extension.

I honestly don't think you need cases for computers. Just thinking about that sounds silly. It's not an iPad. Although I would recommend keeping it around clean surfaces. The Mac book gets dirty easily because of the silly material it's made out of

I have a Mac Book G4 and it works just as good as it did the day I got it. Never had a problem, kinda old but still plenty fast. So anyone buying a Mac can look forward to a quality machine which will last exceed your expectancy.

Hi Amanda! I just bought the same Macbook. It's the first time I have a Mac and I totally agree with you, it's amazing!! The only thing I don't like it's the missing SD card slot. I always work with pendrives and sd cards and now I guess I'll have to buy an external card reader, but apart from that the Macbook is awesome!!

p.s: it also took me several days to find out how to do a forward delete (fn+delete) :)

i found that because the screen isnt glossy like my aluminium macbook, it doesnt look quite as good. it seems to lose some depth when displaying darker images. glossy is the way forward.

I got my MacBook Pro last week, and it's awesome (my 1st Mac ever), my niece got that white one, in my case the specs are different (a "lot") because I got the 15" model, but yeah, if you compare 13" models, the specs are almost the same.

Any will work but you may have to format it to the MS-DOS format if you intend to use it cross-platform, however this wont allow you to use Time Machine. If you want to use Time Machine, you will need to format it to the Extended Mac (I think that's what it's called) format. Of course if you want both you can partition the drive. This is all pretty easy if you go through the disk properties menu or System Preferences. I use a Seagate one that was advertised as a PC only drive and it works fine
