I've got the DVD. Phils playing is just plain beautiful throughout. I've been to many Motorhead shows over the years. They've never put a bad show on. So tight, integrated and just ruddy awesome. Cracking band.

Angus Young & Zakk Wylde are amazing (and 2 of my all time favs),but Phil Campbell is IMO the most underrated guitarist today & rarely gets the accolades for his brilliant tone & technique.
This is because Campbell is in no ... "easy" band. Motorhead is not the band that somebody could listen to, with all the usual kind "easy rock'n'roll" attitude. There is so much wrath and denial and ravage in their songs. And Campbell generates the inpenetrable wall of that merciless sound that belongs to that kind of a band.
BTW, lust like the other underrated man, the king of the diabolic riff, Mr. Iommy.
@kickniko motorhead at all is the most underrated band in rock 'n roll and heavy metal, I mean, look at all this guys who did nothing for music and have a lot of multi platinum albums and stuff, and look at motorhead they didn't sell a lot of albums but they still playing, and they still can put a really great show, but all this dudes with multiplatinum albums,where they are? look at all this dead bans
Well, my friend, "underrated" they might be according to the usual commercial shit which, as you say, is here today and gone tomorrow. But considering music lovers Motörhead are not underrated at all, and who cares about hit parades and similar diseases... We all more than appreciate that certain smell of melting ampere-meters when those dudes play, or don't we?
So I guess all "official rating" can go to hell as well, as long as we can get the message, ey? ;-)
BTW, as a semi-professional in electronics I can already tell you, you dont get that power unless you use pure good old valves circuitry. I can only be glad they still use it. :-)
