Gayest movie ever! The entire hour and 15 min movie can be summed up in about 30 seconds... they go on a scuba trip, get left behind, float in the water for the whole movie and then the last 5 minutes they die! Theres no way in hell this could be true! Simply because if they were left by themselves in the middle of the ocean no one would have known they were attacked by sharks except for them... which apparently their dead... so either there was a third person or someone made this story up!

The reason so many people dislike this film is because they are unable to appreciate a film for it's story, it's acting and not for huge explosions, and CGI. This film which focusses on two actors is a budget film that pulls off a ferociously intense film that keeps your captivated until the very end. People that say it's boring, crap etc are too used to huge Hollywood films such as Avatar etc. This is a rare, yet extraordinary piece of film making with convincing acting and a harrowing story.

I loved this movie! The super cool thing about it is because it isn't based off like what humans are afraid of. For example: serial killers, psychopaths, anything human-related or natural disaster-related. It's based off our deepest and darkest fears of the great blue ocean and that has to do with animal-related fears.

This film for me shares one of two films the utterly scare the shit out of me, not because they are shark films, but because on a regular event, dive charters leave people behind, knowing that us worrying enough, but then when you think about the Lonergan's who were never seen again after this fact, then for me this is some seriously scary stuff. This with Wolf Creek share 2 videos I can never watch from begin to end.
I can appreciate the fact that this is based on real events... but this was probably the most BORING movie i have ever seen.. theres like 20 minutes of plot in the whole movie (if that)... the rest of it was like an hour and 10 minutes of two ppl sitting in the ocean... this movie was complete garbage and how anyone can possibly give it a good review is beyond me..

@SonnyBoyPics yesterday i was swimming in the ocean about 500metres away from the beach and you know what? you cant swimm more than 20 Minutes!!! Big waves make it much worser and the cold water. This film is definetly not true in many parts.. just try it. I go every week twice swimming and it was still very hard for me!
@KutasusWielgus Sorry friend, I was a state champ swimmer.I know what is possible with a little will power. You dont have to swim to stay afloat. I grant you that if the water is rough you will not last long.But in this case the water was calm,maybe a bit rough at times, but the choppy waters did not last long. As long as you stay calm and dont panic you can last for quite some time, especially with a life preserver on. Google the subject and you will be surprised to see just how possible it is.

There you will see that an American Battleship was sunk and 880 men out of 1400+ survived over a 4 day period floating in the Pacific ocean waiting to get eaten by sharks. Good Movie. However they were not eaten by shark's. The real truth about what happened that day was finally revealed from the diary of Tom and Eliene. They went out in the water that day with every intention of not coming back. They commited suicide. There was recently a documentary on tv about the whole thing.

This film, like Wolf Creek and even 127 hrs are not ,meant to be entertaining, if you want entertainment, go to Odeon and watch something with Keving Spacey in :-) These films are based on actual events, a much scarier thought than made up bullshit regular films....

This film for me shares one of two films the utterly scare the shit out of me, not because they are shark films, but because on a regular event, dive charters leave people behind, knowing that us worrying enough, but then when you think about the Lonergan's who were never seen again after this fact, then for me this is some seriously scary stuff. This with Wolf Creek share 2 videos I can never watch from begin to end.

I can appreciate the fact that this is based on real events... but this was probably the most BORING movie i have ever seen.. theres like 20 minutes of plot in the whole movie (if that)... the rest of it was like an hour and 10 minutes of two ppl sitting in the ocean... this movie was complete garbage and how anyone can possibly give it a good review is beyond me..

I promoted this movie for months before it came out. After I saw it in theaters, I threw all my promotional items in the trash. Worst over hyped piece of garbage I've seen. The only thing thats beating it since, was Paranormal Activity.

@SonnyBoyPics yesterday i was swimming in the ocean about 500metres away from the beach and you know what? you cant swimm more than 20 Minutes!!! Big waves make it much worser and the cold water. This film is definetly not true in many parts.. just try it. I go every week twice swimming and it was still very hard for me!

@KutasusWielgus Sorry friend, I was a state champ swimmer.I know what is possible with a little will power. You dont have to swim to stay afloat. I grant you that if the water is rough you will not last long.But in this case the water was calm,maybe a bit rough at times, but the choppy waters did not last long. As long as you stay calm and dont panic you can last for quite some time, especially with a life preserver on. Google the subject and you will be surprised to see just how possible it is.

There you will see that an American Battleship was sunk and 880 men out of 1400+ survived over a 4 day period floating in the Pacific ocean waiting to get eaten by sharks. Talk about the will to survive. It is an unimaginable story.

Good Movie. However they were not eaten by shark's. The real truth about what happened that day was finally revealed from the diary of Tom and Eliene. They went out in the water that day with every intention of not coming back. They commited suicide. There was recently a documentary on tv about the whole thing.
