Would have ditched 4 sunflowers for umbrella leaf for the sheer fact that yes you would lose some economy but would gain not having to waste cobs on them. Even if you didn't make it to wave 2k like some people are saying it was still a neat attempt and I don't know how you did so well on the PC version. Then again I am use to laptop touch pad to play lol. Future vids add the music back, I liked that.

Um... this really isn't all that good ;) He should be using immitator pumpkin instead, and all the consumables are unneccesary, and in turn so are the sunflowers. I've gotten to 229 without cobs at all, and 232 before I accidentally restarted on my 6 cob try... -.- now at 10 cobs flag 166 lol... its glooms/fumes if your not doing 8+ cobs to take out zombies, and with this arrangement... just... :P

Those are so-called Giga-Gargantaurs. They appear in endless mode, but not in the Almanac. As far as i know the ony difference is: They're a bit hardier.

I have a barrier in the 4th row however, just to give me more room before guys start eating my cannons. Flowers or walls, I switch off based on the enemies. Then I switched out 2 ice melons on top and bottom for 2 more cannons, giving me 8 total. This way I can fire a cob at each side just about every mini wave.

I have tried nearly every possible plant combination, and the bottom line is that above level 30-40 nothing but Cob Cannons is going to hold off the massive waves of guys.

I'm currently at level 92 with a similar build to this. Your back couple of rows are always kind of locked with fume shrooms and ice melons to slow the ground waves. Your front water rows are always filled with the puffers because they're just too good.

i only got to flag112 with my build. this really sucks. but hey, i made some money there. im not really sure but it ws 200-220k. thats a lot of money. but i havent found so much flowers, only 6 or 7 in all 112 flags. i will try another strategy, maybe implementing your own, if you dont mind.

@solar rain: ok, i think i have to go through my whole build. from left: row of improved shrooms (not in pool), second, third,fourth and fifth row on the ground gatlings, sixt row the fire enhancer. in the pool 1-5 row cattails. all row are improved with halloween pumpkins. as for the bungees, i admit i have nothing. but cause they never come more then 3-4, i can susbstitute my loss. it is a bit risky but it worked so far

Where on earth are you keeping your sunflowers?? You started by saying that you had 12 cattails in the pool, with the rest of your pool with improved sunflowers. Then you changed it around by saying: rows 1-5 = catttails, 6 = tall-nuts, 8-10 = gloom-shrooms. (I might also add that putting tall-nuts to the left of anything makes no sense at all.) That leaves, what? Two twin sunflowers on your entire board?

And you say you can deal with losses from bungee zombies with just two twin sunflowers?! By my count, you have 16 gatlings, 4 winter melons, 10 gloom-shrooms, and 10 catttails on the board. I can't get 16 gats OR 10 glooms OR 10 cats with even FIVE twin sunflowers. Gatling #16 just costs waaay too much to be worth the cost.

Once you stop playing theory-craft PvZ and actually start playing Survival Endless, you realize that Cobs are the only way to go.

the fire does negate the frozen zombies. as soon as they get hit they unfreeze. so trying to do fire and freeze at the same time doesn't work as well as freeze alone

1. the catapults throw their melons over the fire.

2. i placed them after the fireupgrade for the gatlings (not that it would matter)

3. the fire damage is only to double the damage. it dont set the zombies on fire, so the frozen effect works fine.

Looks like since you didn't need the melons on the sides as much, perhaps you could lose a few, put the cob launchers there, then keep the cattails. That way, you can be less wary of rogue balloon zombies.

gloom shrooms are really nice. best suited in the last vertical row to take out the miners. i dont really like the comb torpedos, they have a long cooldown time in the higher levels. and you nead at least two of the to take the gargantuas down. sunflowers should be placed in the 3last rows of the pool. the ground should be full of gatling shooter. 4-5 in each row, enhanced on fireball and in each row one frozen melon catapult

prices dont make a difference between what the plants look like. yes, cattails are silly, but if you get 10-12 of them they can get you rid of the baloons in no time. well, at least the first 50 flags. when the come in dozens, you shoul use the plant to blow them away. the cactus guys can be forgotten. they such after the first 10-15 flags.

actually im at flag 93. ive gone an full offense. 4 gatling peas in every row, and enhanced them all with fireballs. one vertical raw of frozen melon catapults for slowing them down . in the pool i planted 12 cattails to take out the baloons. the rest of the pool is planted with double sunflowers. the rest of the ground when i need i bomb the other away with chery bombs, halapenos, or this stomping dude. well, the damage is really awesome. they often dont ever reach the third vertical row.

Your build has a lot of flaws...I'll be surprised if you really got to level 93 without cheating. You have no defense against miners, or bungees, and cattails are pointless at later levels..anything in the pool will get raped. Plus, with your build you will struggle like hell to make enough sun.

I'm surprised I got so many negative comments. If you try this build yourself, you'll see how weak and sun starved it is, especially in the pool, catails aren't focused to kill divers and dolphins fast enough.

@ solarrain. divers and dolphins have to come up if something blocks their way. something like a wall nut. the cattails then have many time to kill them. and if they eat the wall nuts, i have wall nut as normal build and as copy, so i can rebuild them fast enough. and because cattails can shoot on every line they can also attack the baloons.

Wrong, that's exactly why divers and dolphins are so dangerous, dolphins jump over..you also have random zombies that come up from underwater.You don't have any protection in your pool against any of this. And you still didn't answer how you deal with miners and bungees..I'll tell you how, you can't, because you wont have any space if you use 4 rows of gatlings with fire, and the melons. Post the video of you getting 112 and come back :)

All he needs is to set up his build early and he hardly needs to spend any more sun other than replacing pumpkins and spikes.

Actually, I used a similar build.

At least regarding some core tactics, like the pond-glooms, ice melons and corn cannons.

But I also used gatlings, umbrellas and *cattails*.

I only survived 45 flags.

2 cattails were brilliant defense, though.

Balloons never got more than 2 spaces into my field. I had a free slot for another plant.

Umbrellas spared me from using cannon on bungees & protected from catapults.

But I wasted spaces on melons and gatlings in the pond. Only had 2 cannons. Stupid.

But for 50 to *?* flags they help you keep a slot free.

Hit flag 60, got bored for the evening. This layout combined with max resources really can't be beat. It was scary the first time I saw two sets of gargantuars and gigas in the loadout screen, but it really doesn't matter as long as they're all clumped up together.

...I never even thought gloom-shrooms could be so useful. I should have used them instead of those silly cattails that failed me really fast. I also have to thank you for proving my assumptions on the uselessness of the wall-nuts.
