You know...the first thing I thought when I saw this vid was "dude, that chick is going to get arrested, denied her habias corpus, hauled off to a secret off shore prison and nobody will ever hear from her again. The ACLU will scream really loud, but nothing will happen cuz jackass will just pardon himself". 8 years ago, I would have NEVER thought that could happen in THIS country, yet it's very real today. I like the originality and the 'stand up and do your part' msg of this vid. Great job :)

This is absolutely the winner, we all have to remember what is the point of the war on war contest,its to spread the word about this unnecessary war and to reach as many people as you can with your video, this video does this in so many ways its uplifting, it motivates you to get up and do something regardless of how small,that one person can reach a million or even just a few but the important part is that you are reaching someone,and that in it self is a powerful accomplishment.good luck all 9

After having looked over the work of the other finalists, I find this to be the only uplifting video. Its personal approach reminds the viewer that this is not some removed tragedy happening to some country, but a very tangible reality effecting those we know and love. Rather than try to distance ourselves from the Iraq war through apathy or negative Bush campaigns, we need to emphasize that regardless of involvement or political opinion, we can all agree that the killing cannot continue.

This is the winning video!!! for all the reasons already stated. This a a video that can be used in a positive way as a campaign message. The others are over done with war scenes. This video says "change" involves all of us doing something in our own small way to get our voices heard. I relate to it because I can listen to the message in the words of the song and not be distracted by all the clips.

You know why I like this video best? It actually shows someone DOING SOMETHING ABOUT THE WAR rather than just sharing horrible images from the past and present. We know what war looks like; what the singer wants is an end to it. The person who made this is artfully depicting the good kind of determination that America used to be known for and the freedoms we still have. It's the kind of hopeful message that this song deserves. It's unique, optimistic, well-produced, and should absolutely win.

I wanted my video to be everything you said it is. A protest. We've seen the images of the war, Bush, dead bodies splayed across sidewalks. I wanted to show somebody reacting to it.

The character in my video stands for all of us. When we see those images, the images she saw, we can't be passive and let it affect us silently. We must be active.
