This is not the original. This is a cover of a New World tune. New World is out of Australia. When I saw Smokie in the late '70's, in Germany, there wasn't any of the "Who the fuck is Alice", although the band did slip in a couple of "24 years just waiting for a chance, to tell her how I feel and maybe get into her pants".
