Wow this production is amazing!! Jo is unbelievable!! Why is she blonde though? Don't get me wrong, she's beautiful as a blonde, I'm just wondering. Do you play Meg? I noticed the name matched your username. You're absolutely fantastic! Amy and Beth are great too. Beth is definitely different than I would've played her, but it's an interesting interpretation with great energy :)

I just want to say that this production is absolutely wonderful....and feeding my new addiction for the Little Women musical! And since comments are disabled on the "Days of Plenty" vid, just want to say......I've watched it on repeat several times, and still get shivers. Phenomenal. So impressed by ALL of them. And I'm all for re-interpretations, shows guts. Go Beth!!!!!

Different interpretations of characters is what makes theatre beautiful. How incredibly shallow would it be if we all played our characters entirely how the OBC portrayed it? Hats off to the entire cast. and thanks to the poster - I just got the role of meg, and watching these videos have really helped. Cheers.

This was mostly lovely and fun...but, who is the person in yellow PLAYING? (she appears to be posing as Beth) Not Beth from the "Little Women" that I've read...

No, insulting does not turn me on, but thanks. I didn't intend to insult anyone, just stated my opinion; the girl in the yellow dress is clearly NOT playing the character of Beth as written in the script.. I would know because I've played Beth. It's not like I'm against people playing characters differently than I would, but this portrayal is a FAR stretch. She has good energy, but not the right energy for Beth. The other members of the cast are talented and this was a good performance.

As a musician and actor, I have to disagree. The music naturally lends itself to energy like this. And although this portrayal isn't the same Beth that I picture from the novel, she isn't necessarily INACCURATELY playing the role either. I can assume that you haven't watched other clips of THIS production on youtube, because she actually DOES interpret the script well. "I would know because" I'm doing this musical right now.

I think performance is great. And I think the Beth plays it as a young girl would. She loves her piano. It's her true love. And she has just been told she'll get to play a grand piano. It's amazing. And I think the girl does brilliantly. Not the beth I'd expect, but great none the less.

To Krazikatie180: Listen, Kiddo- you are seventeen and a student of theatre at best. Playing a character does not give you the right to comment and say hurtful things, nor does it make you an expert on the character. It is because of children like you that I may have to disable comments on a learning channel that is used mostly by students like yourself to examine productions before auditions. Perhaps if you use youtube, you should learn some etiquette, or grow up first, before you comment.

@jenhopediva i love your production, but, i agree with Krazikatie180, beth most definitely has the wrong energy. I makes her less likable, in my opinion. I hope you don't find it to be hurtful, but since this is a learning environment, i think its important we all try to learn from one another's opinions.

Agreed. Beth is timid. The sticky sweetness this girl portrays is inappropriate. But it's still excellent performance.
