Do you have the Cintique attached to the same system as the screen with the recording in the background? Would you need an extra video card to do this? Or can a Cintique show a different thing than the computerscreen?
If I had one of these bad boys I'd say goodbye to paper forever. If it replicates paper and pen really well I'd just do my sketches on the computer as well.
Hello Gina, I am very intrigued to see the way you ink your drawings. The line-work quality is amazing, I was wondering if you would share what settings you are using to get such beautiful lines? I find whenever I ink (though I do not have a tablet like yours) my lines always have to be quick and light fast to get that smooth quality.
@YamiBakurasGirl Yeah, I had a normal tablet for the longest time and my lines had to be lightening fast as well. I found that the wacom cintiq really made things a lot easier because it more closely replicated the feel of drawing by hand on paper. It was an expensive piece of equipment, but well spent and has more than paid for itself at this point.
@YamiBakurasGirl Forgot to answer your other question.... sorry! I am drawing at 600 dpi and using the airbrush tool on the solid line setting at 13 pixels (rather than the airbrushy setting).
Dear Gina..thanks for uploadin..'m technologically challenged. have a wacom basic model that is idling for a year. pls say did yu draw on paper and scanned it n using ps to edit? or did digitally the entire background sketch which yu r editting now? thanks n luv
@inthenameofmeyeshop With this particular piece, I used the tablet to digitally sketch and ink the art. With the comic pages, I sketch thumbnails by hand and then ink digitally.
Very cool. I've been reading your comic for about a year now, but I've never seen a digital inking session with a Wacom tablet; have heard they make this cake, just didn't know how much so until now.

@Storygal141 Hi Anjirika! Thanks! I use a wacom cintiq to ink my art these days. I don't know how long exactly it takes me to ink something. It all depends on the amount of detail, panel count, etc. However, I was able to ink almost all of Miharu in this eight minute video. =D
