Rethink Afghanistan is one of the most powerful documentaries of our time. I try to show it to people whenever I can, online and offline. Many of my progressive friends have been totally floored by the film. Other people, like my father, can't grasp the serious implications and find a way to superficially criticize every aspect in order to avoid facing the truth.

Canadian Prime Minister Harper extended the countries military mission in Afghanistan til 2011 with very little support from the Canadian people. The next election will tell the tale, though.

Afghanistan is very unpopular with the Canadian people. Poles show that Canadians, by in large, feel they have been lied to by the Bush admin and created more enemies then it's worth.

I personally feel that it's a mess that should have been cleaned-up after the Rusians left in 87.
