  • And now these days are gone i'm not so immature

    (my indepen)

blegh blegh, need you like, vanish in the haze

  • @9tome6

Elvis sang them even faster in concerts. All five are legends.

  • hat einer gemerkt das der leadtext u. der chorus text teilweise nicht zusammengepasst haben

aber das publikum hat es bestimmt nicht gehört vor lauter kreischen.

  • young Johnny Boy

  • I think these guys are gonna go far.

  • i need help 'cause i can't stop watching this videos and i hv an exam tomorrow morning !!

  • @sarahm108 i hope they hep you get inspired... good luck!

  • jajaja it kills me how girls scream jajaj little louder crazy beatles`s fans jeje :)

  • I love the girls screaming in the background

  • theme of the movie....i love the song and the movie..

  • I think this is their greatest rock and roll recording. Just a little comment about why they sometimes messed up in their live performances. The truth is that the screaming was so loud in their live performances that none of them could hear what the other was singing and playing. That is actually why they stopped touring.

  • @gandolph7poet The screams certainly made it difficult, but the biggest reason was their lyrics. John hated lyrical repetition. He usually modified the phrasing to make each verse slightly different - which frequently tripped them up in the recording studio as well. Go listen to "This Boy" takes....very funny.

But we love them for it.

  • @myrtlebox I agree with you, but this night he just outright forgot the words to that verse.I love it,I can remember that night watching this like it was last week.

  • "Thank-you, Paul... I was just like him"

  • i love Johns little hop backwards at the end..oh hell, what isnt there to love about these boys..these guys will be in our hearts and in our ears forever...

  • 1:21 John: And now these days are gone and I'm not so self assured, asdasdasdasdasfdasfasfasdasfasfasfasf in the haze... XD

  • Only the Beatles could mess up with the words in front of a 40 millions TV audience and laugh about it :)

  • Ringo......master of the rimshot.

  • i love puppys!

  • lol john messed up 2nd verse but paul and george were like "just keep singin.....he'll get it" :) WE STILL LUV U BEATLES!!

  • Atleast we know that John was human. :)

  • 2 people need SERIOUS help!

  • cool

  • I kinda started crying, because I realised that I'll never see them live... I knew that, of course, but, you have like this image of them in your mind looking like in this video, and then you watch this and think that you're watching it on a website and that 2 of them are dead and that this was 47 years ago.... oh god i'm gonna start crying again D:

  • 1:26 lyrics failure :D

  • You know music has lost it's soul when something from 1965 beats music from 2012.

  • oh john, i love you!

  • Excellent harmonizing voices !...these guys really were the ultimate

  • 1:25 Paul's like: "John forgot the words again" -lol

  • They sound exactly like the recording....now that is really talent. Love these guys to death<3

  • It's amazing how frequently John screwed up the second verse to his own song - Help. He absolutely hated repetition, so he always put together subtle lyrical changes - which invariably tripped him up when he had to sing them live.

    We love you John.

  • what does john say at 0:23?!

  • @YoGoober26 it's really just jibberish I think :P I don't think it'd be anything we could understand

  • @misslizzylennon hahaha! either way its very cute!

  • Is it my imagination, or did John cock the words up halfway through the song, and come in late at two minutes and seven seconds into the clip, (on the line: "I never needed anybody's help in any way"?)

  • haha i think that he says that at 0:20 because whenever they announce the song title the girls always scream.....and he wanted to see if they would still scream if he said some random noises in place of the song title =]

  • Rock 'n' Roll! :D

  • i love Paul at 1:17

  • love it <3

  • @2012Grizz - It wouldn't surprise me if he was doing it deliberately; maybe it was like an in-joke to his band mates, given that the screaming was always so loud most of the crowd wouldn't notice anyway if he flubbed a verse. That seems like John's sort of humor to put one over on the audience (notice he says some jibberish as he introduces the song) .

  • you cant possibly screw up a song that you wrote whatever comes out is right thats the beauty of it

  • This is the best of all the Beatles live performances on the Ed Sullivan Show. I saw every Ed Sullivan Show they did, and this one rates No.1 in my book. The crowd workup was top notch and added much to the performance. The Beatles are the No.1 very best and Beatlemania was in full swing during this "Help!" song performance. Beatlemania is alive today in a quieter fashion.

  • @sentimental1friend hehehee beatlemania

  • NOT HUMANS

  • 2 " ITS" need help!

  • As good as it gets

  • 2 need help

  • Watch Paul around 1:23 ..he is like ...What the hell is John singing? LOL!

  • @2012Grizz i think that's just John being john...he just mumbles gibbirish at times in some songs...for example in don't let me down on the roof top...

  • @2012Grizz I was always listening to how he sang this song, but not what he is singing...listnened it hundred times before, but only now realised it)

  • I can see why they stopped touring. The audience was screaming as if they'd just finished a song all the way through that performance.

  • @2012Grizz It was intentional.

  • haha 0:21, classic John Lennon!

  • lol at 2:15 George's face is some weird :)

  • 2 Guys need Help right now!!!!

  • at the beginning john says: '' thank you paul, i was just like him...'' ???

  • @LordEizen yep u know hes crazy , well was crazy ....

  • 1:47 hehe

  • the beatles forever

    tears! (N)

    aguanteee los beatles locoooooooooooo

  • Wow!!!

  • haha. And to think that their hair was considered "long" by that day's standards.

  • George is A D O R A B L E in this video!!!

    i L O V E him

in my opinon that's his B E S T period as regards his appearance!!!

  • haha. I love how John just randomly says gibberish XD

  • One person needed help.

  • Look at Paul & John carrying the other 2. Heck, cat even hear Ringo drums is he even miked?

When George leans in to add (lip sink) background vocals it sounds exactly like Paul alone.

  • Is this at the Holywood Bolw?

  • @cheriansrule ed sullivan show

  • @jaedee90 He says MAHIAGHOH !!

  • Only 2840 views! Awesome show.

  • Staxtics, thanks for the info. I would have loved to see them play live or even on TV.

  • What TV show was this from? Great video. Thanks for posting.

  • @aimeemannfan2010 Ed Sullivan show

  • Like that nod George and Paul give each other after hitting the harmonies? Like, "Nailed it." 2:34

  • John & George were dosed with LSD in 1965 by a dentist in London.

  • @Alias166 These were druggie days--not LSD, but they were so high from grass at this point that they were practically bumping into the ceiling. "Help" and "Rubber Soul" were pot albums.

  • @mickeydavey that's true

  • @mickeydavey You're right. John Lennon didn't take LSD until 1966 while recording revolver.

  • @mickeydavey egodeath, the website can offer a solid argument to that and the current wikipedia recording date of the song, falls nicely into the theory that this is John's first post LSD recording.
