  • How can they make it even more uglier than the crosstour? Kudo Honda!

  • watch out everyone.... @TheEuroperules is trying to be an all knowing troll...

  • wtf my moms 2002 honda crv is faster than this what a fail.

  • I watched the 2013 Nissan GT-R track video then this. oh my gawd.

  • Who needs DI when port injection is more reliable?.... People are dumb over time DI engines lose power. We all know how 6-speed auto's are in Hyundai's and Chevy's and Ford's they love 6th gear to achieve that 40mph hwy.. While the civic 1.8L i-Vtec engine and the 5-speed auto still achieves 41mpg hwy for the HF model....and the civic is more responsive and run to drive.. I would pick a Civic over any Hyundai or Kia or Chevy or Ford... Because in the long run it will still be on your driveway...

  • Honda, this car is in desprate need of a 6A and Direct Fuel Injection!

  • The trains going faster...

  • well it stops pretty short

  • Vtec didn't kick in yo

  • Gawd, it's ugly. And it doesn't even have a mother, to love it

  • The train in the background was more exciting...

  • my jeep liberty runs 0-60 in 8.0 flat with TRUE 4wd and a 4spd auto

not saying my jeep is the best comparison but performance-wise, honda has a lot of room to improve

  • @homeslicery92 While that might be true, obviously they are going for fuel economy over performance. I bet 0-60 would be a lot quicker if they still offered it in a manual transmission. Too bad boring cars with soft suspensions is what sells well.

  • Honda (C)alifornia (R)efund (V)alue

  • watching this on the track is as interesting as watching paint dry

  • @92SAITO92 and what ??? Its top selling SUV dickhead !

  • poop

  • @MrThatguy122 u are so right lol

  • Let me know when it becomes available in the states with the new 2.2 i-DTEC (Diesel) ...until them, meh.

  • this is just sad ladiesandgentalmen, please pay no attention to this video.

  • The train on the right is faster.

  • @stevessvt come on dude, its ok, faster than my 2003 5.4L expedition in the 1/4, way better handling and brakes. but again, thats not what its about

  • All I can say, and THUMBS UP if you agree....HONDA NEEDS NEW ENGINEERS AND DESIGNERS. 5 Speed auto is old and missing 2 more gears, the engine and all honda enginges are still not direct injected. They are still underpowered. As for design...Honda makes some of the most bland boring and ugliest cars in the buisness then relies on being reliable and that is it for sales. They either start fresh, byy hiring new engineers and designers or they will be knocked off by HYUNDAI n others

  • @davewhodavedunn hyundai is already killing them in many of the cars they sell, Face it, Hyundai is the new Honda and thats comming from a guy whos owned 4 hondas in the past. Honda is just ugly anymore, its a dying brand.

  • @davewhodavedunn honda's engine never breaks

  • @davewhodavedunn You need to get back to reality buddy. Honda still makes amongst the most reliable vehicles in the world and the whole point of this car is not about sexiness, speed, power, design but good, efficient, reliable, safe transport. The CR-V is a class leader in sales, safety and consumer ratings. Your entire comment IS irrelevant. BTW, i prefer the civic to toyota corolla or ford focus and i have always found the accord as sleek and sophisticated.

  • @davewhodavedunn

O Rly? I am willing to be that 12 months from now this new CR-V will be outselling any Sante Fe or Tucson or combined, just like the current one has been doing.

  • @davewhodavedunn and what ????? If you hate honda buy a fucking HYUNDAI moron !

  • Like a soccer mom's really going to think about 0-60 times and quater mile time when buying this car. >.<

  • i think we al agree......HONDA has officially lost it, who's designing these cars??? seriously, 10 years ago HONDA was untouchable, unquestionable, unbeatable.....even KIA is making better cars now.....

  • What a waste of time with 4cyl 2.4 litre 5 speed auto. Honda is going backwards. My opinion is, get the new Mazda CX-5 skyactive 2.2 twin turbo diesel. It has well over 400nm. I can see Honda Soichiro crying with disappointment.

Last but not least, I rather be seeing owning and driving a Nissan Juke then the new CRV.

  • @1969laulau with 173 hp wowww Thats faster than a porsche cayenne ! You are a genius .

  • @TheEuroperules - Who said anything about the CRV being faster than a Porsche Cayenne?

  • Slow

  • Fugly last model looked so much better

  • If you are a chick, you'll probably buy it without a second thought

  • GTR is faster and better

    jk

  • @MrMBMW93 cause perdue

  • its pretty goofy lookin

  • perfect car for nonenthuiasts (not me)

  • thats one ugly honda has far as hondas goo

  • i guess vtec never kicked in lol

  • 1 G deceleration, not bad!

  • @MrMBMW93 Pshhhh hahahaha nice come back...

  • If there's one thing I'm looking for in an suv, it's 0-60 time.

  • Hondas still make the best sounding 4 cylinders.

  • My neighbour drives this, but a 2010 one. It doesn't have the rock solid stability as German cars, and it has rather leisure acceleration. But this car is smooth and the suspension is soft so it makes this car a great and comfortable civic vehicle.

  • @MrTONYTONYM This is not a civic

  • @ElshamyWalid

    civ·ic [siv-ik] Show IPA

    adjective

    1.

of or pertaining to a city; municipal: civic problems.

    2.

of or pertaining to citizenship; civil: civic duties.

    3.

    of citizens: civic pride.

  • @MrTONYTONYM Bro its still not a Civic ist a CR-V

  • @ElshamyWalid I used civic as an adjective. It means related to city. So what i was trying to say is CR-V is a great automobile to be driven around towns and in city :)

  • rofl pontiac aztek

  • I love to watch these videos to see the comments about people whining about cars they don't own nor would they ever intend own.

  • Too slow for me. But good video.

  • Honda and Toyota have officially become Americanized. They now produce quantity over quality. There's absolutely nothing redeeming about Hondas or Toyotas anymore, they used to but not anymore. Thankfully their Acura and Lexus division respectively are still making good cars.

  • @7477238 That's a good thing. Cause that's exactly what they wanted to do. And the reason why the upmarket brands exist in the first place

  • @Mawerik024 Hmmm I didn't think of it that way. The thing is though older Hondas seemed like they had some soul to them, now they're far too refined and hardly exciting. I know they're not meant to be world beaters but now I'd just walk by a Honda without interest.

  • @7477238 Oh I agree on this. I always mantained Honda was Japan's Alfa Romeo. They were built with love and that's why people bought them. Now they're just cars

  • Tried & true 2.4L paired to it's 5 AT is a great combo but CR-V is just begging for a more powerful engine & an extra gear. Even the addition of a 6AT alone will make a big impact.

Definitely needs to lose those wheels for bigger ones.

  • @Intechdude300 ...it needs a V6 like the accord does!

  • You know...cuz everyone takes their CRV's to the track. :P

  • nothing is wrong with the performance.............is just the back

  • Good.

  • Honda should really re-instate their J30A5 V6 (with 244 hp @ 6200 rpm & 211 ft•lbf @ 5000 rpm) in this new CR-V.

I love the Honda J-series V6 engines as they're efficient, powerful, reliable, and butter smooth. Yet I can't seem to understand why Honda won't give us a V6 option as Toyota has one in their RAV4.

A V6 would give the CR-V plenty of power and make it much more useful for light towing and hauling around a small family.

Come on Honda, get with the program.

    Bless.

  • my ex gf has the 11' crv, get that one instead xD

  • I think for this price, a compact/midsize hatchback/wagon would be a better buy.

  • sorry, but that is one of the ugliest suv ive ever seen.

  • @dragsteralf It's not an SUV. It's a tall station wagon.

  • @DocWolph tall station wagon?? is that a car category that i am not aware of? its a small suv or compact suv.

  • @dragsteralf It is more a description than an actual category. The concept comes from Japan primarily, where that sort of design originated, and actual examples are sold in the US. The Subaru Forester, for example. To call an S/CUV a "tall wagon" is to simple say it looks like a vertically stretched car. It's part of an overall trend where S/CUVs forgo the big robust look to be more car-like, sleek and rounded. It's not a good look past a certain point.

  • @DocWolph so then im right. thanks for man'ing up and admitting it.

  • @dragsteralf Admitting to what? Are you feeling deficient in some way to make such an ambiguous comment? If you didn't know, then you didn't know. The only really crime is being ignorant and ignoring that.

  • @DocWolph you admitting that i was right about it being a suv, and you being wrong about it being "a tall wagon". if you spent more tire understanding what i wrote then what words you wanna use for your reply maybe you would of caught it.

  • @dragsteralf You might to want use your spell check then. That aside. What's with the insults? Looking for a fight or just feeling small? The CR-V is not an SUV. That term is reserved for BoF vehicles like the Chevy Tahoe or Ford Expedition. The CR-V is a CUV, Cross-over Utility Vehicle, or a tall car. "Tall station wagon" is the correct term for this vehicle.

You admitted to your own ignorance of the subject.

  • @DocWolph "The 2011 CR-V is the SUV you've been craving." this is directly off HONDA's website.(copy and paste) so STFU and get your facts strait. no where does it say 'TALL STATION WAGON'. CUV maybe, but a "tall car"...NO. so now that you know the facts, refer to what i said before (stfu) and GTFO while your doing it.

  • @dragsteralf I'll stop you at your first sentence. Your quote is just marketing. If you can't figure that out you are their perfect patsy. The "Wagon" is no longer popular in the US. S/CUVs are extremely popular replacing the classic wagon. Thus S/CUVs are "the new station wagons". US buyers by and large, excluding us fans, do not understand "tall wagon/car". But do understand SUVs/CUVs. As CUVs become more car-like, in and out, "Tall Wagon" applies.

  • If it doesn't perform like a Porsche, everyone dislikes it?? Sheesh you people are dense.

  • Oh, I thought this was the track test for the new CR-Z Si. Nevermind...

  • click* HOLY SHIT A TRAIN!!

  • It's got a great looking ass. Really.

  • Whats wrong with you Honda? Your Integra, NSX, Prelude days were much more interesting. Take a break on your robot and give us what we are missing in the automotive world

  • @Arguemento The cherokee is almost double the price. I hate how fucking uninformed and stupid kids on this channel are when it comes to non-performance cars.

  • @ILikeReallyBigButts The grand cherokee starts at 26,000 - the crv starts at 22,000. That isn't even close to being double the price...now if you were talking the srt8, then thats a different story, but base grand cherokees are a pretty good value

  • @watson2harriet Lol go ahead and read numbers off the computer. Go in person to a Jeep dealer and come back to talk.

  • who would buy that shit....?

  • It's a shame that peoples only interest are in cars that do 0-60 in 6.5 or less, when most can not even afford a New car.

  • @hondaftw1234 I know right? These stupid people disliking these videos is getting really annoying. I mean, like it's a $20k economy suv, not an X5M... and for it's class, this new CR-V performs quite well.

  • honda used to be awesome.. they are losin it....

  • @deadcell85 why, because the CR-V doesn't perform like an NSX?

  • @colenbrak do you see a new NSX anywere??? they won't release their prototype. the new SI SUCKS compared to older gens too..

  • @deadcell85 the new SI has 200 horsepower.

  • @colenbrak & it almost weighs as much as my tsx.....

  • @deadcell85 who cares, take out some shit if you need to, the suspension and chassis are there.

  • @colenbrak who would want to do that?!? its not a race car.. they should have kept the k20 for the new si.. overall its far better than the k24.. even the one in my tsx xD the new k24 in the si has more torque than mine.. which is bad.. fwd car.. the k24 isn't as balanced as the k20 with high rpm either... Idk.. I think honda is getting lazy. I love honda.. but damn.. evos and Hyundai's are looking better and better

  • @deadcell85 you know what, i agree with you. civics are supposed to be little with engines that are amazing right out of the factory, and the new civic isn't that.

  • @MrMBMW93 You suck...

  • Why waste your time people commenting and posting stupid comments, you do realize Honda gets feedback through social medias to improve their vehicles so why don't you comment your B.S. comments else where so people that want to help out Honda to improve their vehicles do so please let the real people who care about their products do so.. Thanks

  • the crv grew a tumor on the rear

  • Train!!!

  • This car is almost human...it gets uglier, slower, and fatter with age. Keep it up Honda.....

  • LololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololoL

  • Certainly easier to look at...

  • The rear reminds me of something, can't quite put a finger on it....

  • Am I the only one that was more interested in the train in the background then the car?

  • @thegoof529 i like trains.

  • hmmm even with 20more hp its not any faster

  • @basslover352 It only has 5 more horsepower. The 2011 CRV has 180hp and I believe the 2012 CRV has 185.

  • @Mrhondafan94 I was comparing it to the 160hp crv's which had a similar 0-60 as this new one

  • @basslover352 its a crv a family car... who cares about 0-60 fuel economy is more important

  • My aunt bought one and she loves it. Its larger than her 2001 with more options than it. Its not going to perform like a GTR so relax people

  • @dickcheese663 No, but it should perform like a RAV 4.

  • it looks like a kia sportage from the side lol

  • gotta say, those are some nice brakes

  • 0-60 with a 1' rollout is the goofiest road test criteria I've ever heard of.

If this (or any) vehicle is a dog off the line, measuring it with a 1' rollout isn't going to make it any faster.

BTW, this one is a dog! 0-60 in 9.4 seconds? Wow, welcome to 1992.

  • @Miradart its a 4 cylinder SUV, idiot. Lets see some 4 cylinder SUV's from 1992 that can do 0-60 in 9.2.

  • @tim3058 I know it's a 4 cyl. The thing's still a sled. The only way these will sell is with a ton of money on the hood.

Way to elevate the discussion. By name calling. Whatever buddy....

  • I rather look at gm shitty car line up then watch this.lol

  • Oh yea , 5hp and 4tq more should totally make this thing no slouch -____-

Honda put the 3.5L V6 from the Accord in the CRV, or the Turbo I4 from the RDX.

  • @sexyboi142 A V6 would make it too nose heavy. I'm so down for the turbo 4 from the RDX

  • @sexyboi142 That would raise the price at least 2k+. In a tightly competitive segment 2k is the difference between being the segment sales leader and getting beat. Plenty of power for what the average owner needs. The majority of sales has always been the 4 cylinder models.

  • well... the slalom is pretty good i guess..

  • I've known mopeds to be faster than this. Then again, if you drive it fast, it'll most likely capsize and sink.

  • Roars like a V12.
