You may want to consider using farseer or some other 2d physics engine if the objects are going to be restricted to a single plane.
A 2d physics engine should be considerably faster, allowing you to reach a broader user-base and more platforms. If you were considering selling it. (Seems like it make a cool phone app, maybe a great live-wallpaper for android)
