  • this does work and its really good this is the one i use now. my last coment was ment for the video were they used this program callled truecrypt. Im so sorry for that. :)

  • If i understand correctly... what ever size you make the "volume"... that disapears from the hard drive total correct? once i remove safehouse from my pc... how do i get that space back????

  • @maddmexx77 The volume is like a giant protected vault. It is an ordinary file similar to a zip file, but it is totally encrypted. You can get the space back simply be deleting it as you would any other file.

  • this is cool and works but all you have to do is go to proporties and custimize then hit restore to defult and it will open the drive with out the password

  • @smiley32142 You are mistaken. Files protected with SafeHouse need a password to view. They are otherwise completely encrypted - you cannot just "restore" to remove the encryption. If you have left other files outside of SafeHouse, then whatever you can do by way of restore is outside of any protection provided by SafeHouse.

  • Worked great, thanks. Just needed a password on my Tech Toolkit

  • this is very good video for those who want to learn something and to become something in the future

  • the software only works if the safehouse is installed on the computer,

but what if you want to access the file on the other computer?

you need to install again the software?

  • Why do you need USB Flash drive locker? If I don't want other people watch my files I wont give my USB Flash drive :D

  • Thank you, excellent program, I lost couple of USB flash drive but fortunately I did have your program installed, so I did not lose any sleep over it.

  • Its Really Good Software..... Thank You Sir... :)))

It was just what i needed THANKSSSSSSS A LOT

  • do we need the program to open our flash drive one?

  • @jonathanbontemps the program is put on the flashdrive when u copy the files

  • If I want to access my encrypted files from another pc apart from my own, which has no copy of the software, could I still access my files by entering my password?

  • Sorry i forgot 2 ask is there drive space limitation with this software ? I have a Seagate GoFlex 500gb that i wiped clean and want to install some utility similar to this.

Only thing is its bit of a hassel to access files using Safehouse explorer. It would be really neat if the safehouse utility could be loaded onto the hdd and then whenever you plug hdd into PC data is only visible after you input password and you can simply drag drop data. Similar to segate black armour hdd utility

  • All you people saying whats the point if it can be deleted or erased gotta realise its the unauthorized access that is the primary concern e.g in the event of theft. And if you want it not be deleted then what relevance does it have when the drive is lost / stolen ?? It aint coming back anyway regardless if data got wiped or not on it by someone

  • And i dont mind data being formatted or deleted as long as its password protected thats what matters in event of theft.

What i want to know is can this software be made simpler similar or has option similar to sandisk U3 utility where you plug the USB drive into any Windows PC and it auto runs the password utility(or you can exe file from win exp) where you type in correct pass and you can view your files from WITHIN windows explorer without having to view it thru the safehouse software ?

  • *Angrily Pounding Keyboard* am'no'amebinadabnkl akl'sbnkl'

I always get an error message when trying to put the files onto my flash drive!!!! It wont work! It cant even detect its own files! Totally stupid.

  • thx

  • HEY TELL YOUR BOSS TO READ THIS COMMENT OK. WHAT'S THE POINT IN HAVING A SAFE PLACE TO PUT FILES IF SOMEONE CAN JUST DELETE THEM WITHOUT OPENING THE VOLUME OR THEY CAN JUST FORMAT THE DRIVE GOD DAMN IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @ghrtugihugih4ugihaug You should always have a backup of files on disk drives. There are many reasons for data to go bad -- from hardware failures to malicious acts. It is unreasonable to expect SafeHouse to guarantee nothing will ever happen to your files. Anyone that intent on destroying data will find a way - even if it means smashing the drive. The main thing is that with SafeHouse they'll never actually see the data and your privacy is maintained.

  • @ghrtugihugih4ugihaug Just because the app has the word "safe" in the name doesn't mean it will keep your files safe from stupidity or malicious actions. It encrypts files--it doesn't make them impossible to delete.

  • i am here to setup a wireless server of files with individual folders that are private and password protected so i can have backup ready anywhere in the house password protected for everyone :D Cant wait to try this

  • does this work?

  • TYVMM8

  • is this usable or can be open to any windows OS?

  • Comment removed

  • Orrr you can buy a nice usb that's around 60$ at best buy. Comes with some great features :)

  • Securing Porns ! ^^,

  • HE IS RUNNING VISTA WHAT A RETARD!

  • @dropbear876 I am running vista and i never had no major problem in 4 years now!

  • @LivingForTheFuture Your post is so far out in left field and not even close to being rooted in reality...

  • This is the best encryption program that I've tried. You have many options in it. Now I'm using the free version of the program, and I don't have any problems. It'll be good to fix the problem with deleting encrypted folders. It will be nice to ask for password when trying to delete the file.

  • @petarbg100 I TOTALLY AGREE!

  • thanks

  • hey dude just to let u know ur fricken awesome about time there is a good program to protect mt stuff ty

  • lol i got the same USB

  • can i use it in the hard disk? tell yes or no, if yes please give me the procedure... sorry for my grammar.

  • @1Hwan1 This software works great on hard drives - internal and external. We have many videos on our website which demonstrate how to use the product.

  • @pavritch where can i get Safehouse.exe software?does it run in Xp operating System?plz rply

  • who else finds it a little odd that you can just delete your "protected" content so easily?

  • @stealth322 There are many evils that can come upon your files, and is somebody is looking to purposefully destroy your data, there's many ways to do that, including physically damaging your media. You should always be backed up. That will save you from both bad or corrupt media as well as accidental deletions and other errors.

  • does this work on a mac?

  • @zac4888k I'm sorry, no Mac at this time.

  • this is definately very good, i think it is brilliant, plus its free, cant beat that. i have thousands of dollars of software on my flashdrive, now with this noone else can get it, well if they can not easily.

  • Yes, one of the various safehouse application programs is required to access a safehouse volume (vault) since windows does not otherwise understand what to do with the encrypted file. The SafeHouse Explorer program is free and can be used without doing a traditional install - it can run directly from a memory stick.

  • Does this only work with pc’s with the safehouse program? What if I want to open my folders on pc’s without this program..?

  • @FromBtoZee If u want to open a password protected folder on another pc without the program all u have to do is open the file just above (or below) ur file which is named SafeHouseExplorer so u cant actually open the protected file itself. Just open the SafeHouseExplorer software file and it will come up with the program then all u have to is open ur file from there by using open volume. Just tried it myself.

  • In this day and age of Money Comes First, its refreshing to find a Decient Company who are willing to distruibute this Brialliant Software for free, yes you are to be congratulated for developing one hell of a Security Product and giving it away for free, well done lads at SafeHouse I have been using it for a while now and it is indispensible nice one lads 10?10

  • awsome video peter

  • It looks good but i tried to install the program and it didn't result.

The program was ok, but once i get to create a volume it says me always the same "cannot create new volume file.Check the name and host folder" even changing the name it doesn't work. How can it say that the name isn't correct if their is no volume created before?? please help me best regards

  • You create a vault on the memory stick to store your secret files. This vault can be any size - it's a container file. The rest of the memory stick works normally and you can use it for any other non-secret files you have.

  • Can you save any more files to the memory stick? Or do you have to enter the password before you can copy files over?

  • Don't have time to look at all the comments but the epic fail I see here is all is on the hard drive - all is being being created, transmitted and received using software that has all the information of both encryption and decryption... There is no secrecy involved.

  • @Snowflake70 Your assesment is simply way off and not based on any real facts. SafeHouse provides total secrecy with full encryption.

  • @pavritch I appreciate that - if you think 256 is secure when even 512 can be broken in under 20 minutes...and yes, I have proof.

  • @Snowflake70 SafeHouse and pretty much all other commercial encryption products all use basically the same encryption ciphers. If these were to be broken, then all products would be unsafe - but this is not the case. The real weak point of encryption systems is users choosing weak and short passwords. When Bruce Schneier (world encryption guru) states the ciphers are unsafe and recommends an alternative, then we shall adjust per his recommendation.

  • @pavritch Fair. Before there is sufficient compromise of the more published systems I suspect "entangled encryption" to be 'ready for the masses.

  • will this work on every computer you use...??????????

  • @noahspeak147 Works on any windows computer. No restrictions.

  • This program is free?

  • @dork2ne1 yes! Not a trial. No restricted features.

  • This kind of does the job - but here is what I had in mind this will do: Put in USB Drive into the computer - try to open it and then asks for the password. I enter the password and it lets me use my drive exactly the same way how it was before I placed pass protection on it. This involves opening up SafeExplorer which serves like sort of a terminal (or window) to get through to get my files up - it places more steps then needed. "It does not get any easier" phrase does not work on this one :)

  • I have a question if i downloaded and installed program on my PC BUT i want use my flashstick on onother PC i need to install this software on that onother PC???

  • @krisis117 no, not is you choose to copy program to usb drive aswell (says in the video btw)

  • @krisis117 Something does need to run on each PC ... but that does not mean you need to do an actual product install. The software can run in a limited mode directly from a memory stick without running a setup program. However, if you are able to run a normal install, more features will be available.

  • Hey how did you edit your video???

  • @TheMissle21 Camtasia

  • can you add more files to the volume?

  • thanks its a nice software but i need a software installed in my flash or usb smart drive.

  • Who's here only to secure their porn ?

  • @MeQuiteFriendlyLOL BAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH i know right. Can't let my parents find my gay porn

  • @MeQuiteFriendlyLOL

LooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooL My porn is actually me though haha "filming bitches give me head makes my day ;)" Kanye west

  • can it prevent from openning a fake folder Virus?...

  • @neilja1234 This software is not something that is designed or intended to help with viruses. However, encrypted files are by nature hidden from virus programs which might try to infect them -- as long as you don't have the files unlocked at the time.

  • If I plug my flash drive into a mac, will it still ask for the password?

  • @SADXRULZ Sorry, this will not work on a Mac. You will not have access to the protected files on a Mac since they are completely encrypted.

  • which is better this or Rohos mini? Ive used rohos but i need a beter opinion.

  • does this work for any windows for like school and stuff like windows 98?

  • @hellztube WinXP and later is needed.

  • Great freeware! After watching this video and the relating SafeHouse videos I downloaded SafeHouseExplorer and have already put it to use on a USB drive and my hard drive. The only complaint I have is the beeping sound it makes when I enter my password to access a volume. Otherwise excellent tool.

  • @ZeusBolts There is a checkbox on the Tools|Options dialog to disable sounds if you prefer the silent mode.

  • @pavritch Thanks for the tip. I figured there might be a way to stop the sounds but hadn't looked into it. I have already recommended SafeHouseExplorer to several people. Thanks for the video and freeware!

  • @ZeusBolts how do you use this program for your harddrive

  • @TheKillerMarine To create a "volume" or protected folder for your files just launch the SafeHouse Explorer program, click New Volume, choose your password and volume size, then drag and drop the files you want protected into the SafeHouse volume. Too easy. Let me know if you need a more in depth answer, or check out pavritch's other videos.

  • If my safehouse is originated from winVista, can the safeHouse guarded files in USB flash open in a Mac PC or a Linux PC?

  • @utubmania2009 SafeHouse only runs on Windows. The encrypted files will not be available on other operating systems - so they are still secure.

  • wait? can't I just make a .rar file with a password? that way can use it on other computers as well as having a password!

  • @yurishosan SafeHouse Explorer is just one piece of a full product line which has features which go way beyond WinRAR. SafeHouse is a full-featured encryption line.

  • what a bich you are the same thing happend to me but i made my own program and made your archeve files think it is safe house and opend it useing that then job done not so secure is it once we'r in the actull flash drive you can do almost anything p.s or you can boot up in safe mode by pressing F8 constantly when booting up go tothe drive run open as administraiter and it will open like normal with the right program but by pass the pass word owend bich

  • @digitalJESUZ Couldn't be further from the truth. SafeHouse does not rely on windows passwords or admin features and is therefore not subject to the methods described by this poster.

  • it worked for me; thanks

  • A software-only solution cannot prevent people from deleting files on memory sticks....there are so many ways to delete files, or just throw a memory stick in the lake or something. Like with all files that are important to you, you should have a backup somewhere, which too, can be encrypted using SafeHouse.

  • @pavritch i would like to throw you in a lake

  • Hi sir, the software is great but there is still a problem. A user can easily delete the .sdsk file. Without the file I can't open the hidden volume again. I guess you missed that part..

  • You could also *.rar-encrypt files and put a password on and then put it on the USB.

  • @TheXeniter If you close a volume right in the middle of copying files, the result would be pretty much the same as if you were copying files to a memory stick and yanked it out of your machine...probably not total corruption, but certainly something would get lost in the process.

  • @pavritch: Hi sir, the software is great but there is still a problem. A user can easily delete the .sdsk file. Without the file I can't open the hidden volume again. I guess you missed that part..

  • @liwits An intruder who has your memory stick can destroy your data in any number of ways - like stomping on it. It's also pretty much impossible for us to hide data on a memory stick since somebody could plug the device into a computer that does not have our software on it. SafeHouse's role is to make sure your data cannot be viewed, which is does very nicely.

  • i have my problem regarding your safehouseencryption which i download free trial. i try this for just one day so i trust it. i put all my files with a 15GB. in safehouse but when i open i cannot access. my password is not change. now, i want to recover my all files, can you help me.. pls reply... thanks

  • @luckyme3322 I'm sorry, but we cannot help you if you've forgotten your password. We have no idea if you are the actual owner of the data. Our Pro version has a complete set of password management and recovery features, but you must enable these things before losing your password.

  • @pavritch what a bich you are the same thing happend to me but i made my own program and made your archeve files think it is safe house and opend it useing that then job done not so secure is it once we'r in the actull flash drive you can do almost anything p.s or you can boot up in safe mode by pressing F8 constantly when booting up go tothe drive run open as administraiter and it will open like normal with the right program but by pass the pass word owend bich

  • @pavritch i understand you.. Are yout telling the truth. pls. return to me my all files that i can't recover.. I'm telling you the truth that i'm sure that my password is correct. but when i open my files i was already shock that cannot open already. almost 15GB is so a large files to unrecover.. plss... sir help me..

  • @luckyme3322 SafeHouse has hundreds of thousands of users and we're not aware of any password problems. We also have no way to help you recover a lost password - which is necessary, because this means we cannot be fooled into helping somebody recover a password to a file which is not theirs.

  • @luckyme3322 what a bich you are the same thing happend to me but i made my own program and made your archeve files think it is safe house and opend it useing that then job done not so secure is it once we'r in the actull flash drive you can do almost anything p.s or you can boot up in safe mode by pressing F8 constantly when booting up go tothe drive run open as administraiter and it will open like normal with the right program but by pass the pass word owend bich

  • woah utube just changed there videos

  • You can just use win rar u idiot

  • @shaunh88 Win Rar has viruses IDIOT!

  • @9snowboarder9 Win rar has viruses? Where did you get this information from? >_>.

  • @9snowboarder9 but if U ENCRIPTED THEM THERE IS GUNNA BE NO VIRUS UNLESS U WANNA INFECT YOUR OWN MEMORYSTICK WHICH MEANS YOUR THE IDIOT DUMB ASS

  • I Have a question.Just so you know i am very new to all this computers stuff so any help would be of great help. My question is that in other encryption softwares, the volumes can only be accessed by using a password but CAN be deleted without using the password. Is it the same case with safe house explorer? If yes can you please suggest me a software that will help me.

  • what?

  • when i downlaod it and i go to my flash drive, click on the thing, click open volume, and nothing is in there WHAT DO I DO

  • Great! I love it!

  • good job keep it up

    thaks pavritch

  • so have to pay for this?

  • @xavierhervin No, SafeHouse Explorer is completely free - full featured, never expires.

  • @xavierhervin No. All free, no limits.

  • If I want to access my files on my friends computer at school who doesnt have the explorer, does it work?

  • @3bram72 SafeHouse Explorer can run as a stand-alone EXE right from your memory stick. No need to install.

  • Every program I find seems to do this same kind of thing. All I want is a small program that simply prompts for a password when I click to open the USB in explorer. I don't want some "vault" within the drive. That's way too much work.

  • @Apologya Get a fucking Life are you really that Lazy man???

  • @Oglaigh32 Are you really that insecure that you have to sift through YouTube comments made almost a year ago just to insult someone over the internet? No I am not lazy. How hard could it possibly be to make a program that I described? Why would using something like this make me lazy? If it would be "convenient" and "easy", why would I do something that is ultimately more steps? If I made a program right now how I described, you can't honestly tell me you wouldn't choose that over this.

  • what if the intruder delete the safehouse explorer.exe and safe house disk..in the usb..doesn't have protection???

  • When the files are encrypted... are you still able to run them or do you have to extract them from the encrypted file first?

  • way to complicated... what if I cannot install your software on work PC and how am I gonna use my USB - can't use it then,..

  • The software works without needing to be installed. I can run directly from a memory stick. See our other videos for how you can do this -- super easy!

  • I have the same concer as eenbox. Some work computers do no allow running exe files, even if the program doesn't need to be installed.

  • how about if theres a person who do delete that two files Safehouse .exe and that Safehouse.sdisk?or theres a times accidentally delete or format the flashdisk of the two programs??so now wat happen?

  • SafeHouse does not protect you from damage - be it accident, on purpose or some hardware failure. As with any important data - you should be backed up. And SafeHouse can nicely secure your backups too.

  • can u just delete the .eXe file and it still works?

  • If you delete the EXE, the files in your vault are still protected. Of course, you will need the exe again to access your data.

  • What about access but not able to extract the files in any way. What I mean is...runing a program from Flashdrive without being able to extract the files in any way.Just to run aplications that's all.Anyone????

  • If you just want to run apps from a memory stick without leaving traces on the host PC, then you might look at something like U3 for flash drives -- that's exactly what it does, and SafeHouse supports it too.

  • what OS is it 4?

  • Windows XP, Vista, Win7.

  • I cannot install. The NEXT button is grayed out in during installation

  • Fantastic software for which many many thanks. Just to add a bit more icing to a really delicious cake may I suggest that users add a small hints text document on their USB to reside outside the vaults just in case they forget their passwords.

  • thanks

  • This is an awesome program...thankyou

  • will this software work with my MacBook Pro?

    answer back please!

  • ok. sweet program..but will i be able to open my files via xbox360 or ps3?

  • nope

  • great program, only thing with usb (please correct if wrong) is the program needs to be installed on the other computer u are opening on.

also maybe for extra security of files, make the folders un deletable without password

  • hi peter could i use this to lock files on my sell phone

  • If your phone is able to look like a drive letter to Windows, then yes. I don't know which phones do this. SafeHouse just needs a drive letter - that's all.

  • THANKS

  • Peter,

this is amazing, u solved my problem,

    really appreciate it,

    thnx

    sameer

  • You are a A+ grade genious! great software!

  • cant you just use winrar

  • thankyou XD

  • or you can just get cruzer USB which is the kind i got and add a password

  • The think about SafeHouse is that the encrypted file vaults are easily moved around, backed up or even sent as email attachments. Also fully compatible with our SafeHouse Pro desktop software.

  • Comment removed

  • do you see your files on other computers?

  • Yes, you can take the encrypted files on a USB stick to another computer and access them as long as you know the password. You always need the password.

  • Yo it worked do fine damn this software is cool

  • it doesn't crush at all! maybe the volume you put is equal to the size left on your memory stick or hard drive "if you use hard drive"... if that's the case it will really crash because there's no memory left for debug...

  • wow you made another account, do you feel special?
