With all due fairness, these are tough times and I understand where Christie is coming from with cost overruns. BUT, this is not just another example of government spending on nothing, this tunnel IS needed, and hopefully when things improve it can be restarted. The current tunnel is at capacity and trains are overflowing. So if you really think there is no need for the project, try commuting on a NJ Transit train during rush hour and see if you still feel the same way.
