  • Tru merit stands the test of time and critics; some of this music will not be remembered through the ages, it will be a quirky footnote about cultural influence at best. That does not necessarily apply to this song.

  • adoro essa banda hahhaa

  • thank god we have justin bieber so we dont have to listen to even more of this shit

  • @LuDude45 very funny

  • @snowyDec0713 fuck you.

  • @LuDude45

I fell out of my chair laughing, you are a fucking genius man. :)

  • THIS is music....

  • Looove this song!! its fucking awesome! it kicks ass! :D <3

  • I love that guy! <3

  • This song always reminded me slightly of nirvana's stay away

  • y on earth that every time when i want to see a nice video clip of my favourite band/artist/songs n etc, there must be arguments about stupid little thing here n there..shut the fuck up man..just listen and watch to the song n VC..otherwise just get the fuck out..fucking moron!!

  • Let Slide......

  • It's my favourite grunge band .)

  • shure ms57 ftw.

  • HE'S JUST SO DORKY AND ADORABLE <3

  • This was before nirvana

  • this sounds like nirvana , minus the mezmerizing melodic part of kurt's voice

  • @olympiamusic. Mark Arm called mudhoney's music grunge in a 1988 edition of the Seattle weekly. This is where the term was first printed. I have the edition

  • Oh my god... what happened to music.. from this amazing band to green day.. what the fuck happened?

  • I see now why KC liked them so much!

  • Mark Arm is the founder of Grunge when he formed Green River and Mudhoney.

Kurt Cobain made Grunge popular. music these days are made by wanna be musicians who can't sing, they just edit they're video, no talent, the people of the 90s actully take time to write songs, and they actuelly mean someting, the music these days only talk about sex and clubs, what happened to music?

  • @ironhellchronicles You know you sound like an old man, right? Like my dad used to talk when I'd listen to Nirvana, and he'd preach about the Beach Boys. He wasn't wrong, they're great, but it didn't make him right about music at the time.

You're not looking hard enough. There is some STELLAR music today, you just can't rely on MTV for it. Go looking. Arcade Fire writes some of the best, most meaningful lyrics you have ever heard, and their 2010 album "The Suburbs" is genius.

  • @ironhellchronicles Specifically, check out "Month of May", or "We used to wait".

  • @ironhellchronicles Money started rolling in for music that promoted materialism and stupidity, that's what happened.

  • @ironhellchronicles I get where you are coming from but there is good music out there today you just gotta know where to look.

You should check out Children Collide, They have a great grungey sound AND they are modern.

  • @ironhellchronicles The problem is that pop music had always been focused on sex and clubs; of course, there has been a HUGE bastardization in the process, lyrics, and instrumental work, but the premise has always been there, and these guys & the rest of the Seattle sound were shaking it up.

  • @ironhellchronicles Who cares who made grunge popular, Its the songs that matter

  • i know that no one should insult any form of music let alone art.. but fuck lil wayne , eminem and all those other pussies.. this is real music. our music !!!

  • @stylezofom Lil wayne isnt art, this is the real stuff man :)

  • the singer looks a little like Kurt

  • nice Motorhead t-shirt

  • This probably the only video on youtube that the top comments is nothing about the band being wached!? >-(

  • Mudhoney rock!!!

  • Mudhoney

    Because you watched Melvins

  • Gonna see them in concert on September 7th, HELL YEAH !

  • @PJ92SOLAT So lucky! I wanted to see them when I was visiting NY, but i had to leave before they came >:(

  • This band should be more recognized.

  • @TheDivNiv they already are recognized enough...

  • hey everybody, we're all fcuked!

  • 3 years and the same song every day

  • Nirvana totally ripped off this band's style (not in a bad way), they were hugely influenced by Mudhoney, and it sucks that most people act like they are fans of nirvana but havent even heard of this band.

  • @BadassAnons and the Melvins but you gotta remember that Kurt was friends with the bands so I guess when he listened to them amd hung out with them some of them proberbly inspired him

  • @ToBy4579 That i know too, but again what i said originally is true too, mudhoney aren't recognized enough.

  • @BadassAnons your on this video too what video are you not on

  • @Babyface6200 And who the fuck are you? The fact that i dont even remember you shows how much of a fuck i can't give about you. Why are you here anyway?

  • @BadassAnons Im a grunge and thrash fan that saw you on a infindelstam video making racist comments about the deathcore kid

  • @Babyface6200 What did you write? So am i.

  • @BadassAnons you said that nigger knows nothing about metal

  • territorial pissings?!

  • Love the music and the description. It's completely succint, although it leaves out the major infl. on Nirvana and grunge by some other bands, like the Melvins and Black Flag.

  • u can definitely hear the nirvana in mudhoney....correction, u can definitely hear the mudhoney in nirvana

  • It's kinda like if Nirvana never got famous. I love it :D

  • Do you think it'd be fair to call Mark Arm the Tom Petty of "Grunge"?

  • @CCRockit lets just say mark>tom

  • seattle's music and grunge?WAY OF LIFE

  • little nirvana :D

  • Who gives a shit about labels, you dunces? If you like it, listen to it. If you dont like it, then don't listen.

  • Who wants to see better musicians.go watch a video of progressive rock or any other bullshit ,this is raw and pure rock music

  • wflowers321the best seattle musician is nirvana

  • @ccupcake97 That's a band, not a musician... However, it's safe to say that Kurt's the best musician from Seattle.

  • @ccupcake97 sorry but no....actually nirvana guys were pretty lame musicians.

  • @gre1990 I must disagree ... Dave Ghrol is one of the worlds finest drummers celebrated and praised for his techniques and his mastery of the guitar can also stand to that .. Chris Novaselic is an acclaimed Bassist and Kurt Cobain you are right.. wasnt a very strong guitarist but what he did with a guitar did infact change song writing .. dont just throw down shitty comments do some research get some knowledge!

  • @ThrashingBurton again...sorry but no...

grohl playing is very bassic...i guess you dont know too much about drumms, not going so fair, matt cameron was miles ahead of grohl...novaselic is indeed one of the worst bass players f hte 90's.. again, guess you've never played a bass...and kurt didnt change a shit on riff wrtiing, he bassically play roots plus fifhts, thing that has been done since the early 70...sorry.

  • @gre1990 Sorry dude I'm a drummer so I know a shit load about drums dont assume I dont Ghrol's playing was not actually basic just look at all the different types of bands he played drums in lots of.. variants so you are wrong in that.... Yeah Novaselic wasnt the strongest just like Kurt but undeniably they made it didnt they and they are both praised .. One a little more than he should be??!! Yeah the early metal bands of the 70's did introduce that guitar sound yet Kurt added and changed it.

  • the first time i heard this i was eating turkey

  • Great tune!!!!

  • let me slide!!

  • R.I.P the seattle center rides :( fuckin bullshit they took that shit out.

  • lol i thought i clicked on a 40 video nirvana playlist ( oh well mudhoney is just as good)

  • Пьюджет Саунд

  • @neodoc1976 Да, черт возьми

  • i miss listening to mudhoney, i think i am going to start again.. and sonic youth. heavy rotation once again.

  • @kidaok00 thinking the same

  • Kurt was dipshit? Kurt is a classic grunge. This song compared to "Smells like teen spirit" this bottom!

  • legal ^^

  • Mudhoney Makes The Sex Pistols Look Like the queens bitches =]

  • @JUSTING101 i'm not sure about that but all i can say is that mudhoney did the stooges better than the pistols....for sure

  • i watched mudhoney open up for nirvana at the paramount ...halloween.

mudhoney was more 'sober' if i recall but kurt kicked butt.

  • 20 people couldn't let it slide

  • awesome track!!!!!^^

  • Let's all move to Seattle and play some Grunge!

  • @KristinNirvana I did that in 90's.

  • @shraunbone Yeah, now it's us kids turn.

  • @KristinNirvana Well from what i learned the young genoration(mine) is filled with tons of gaga lovers, good amount of rock lovers and not as many grunge lovers, but i'm going to play grunge, I already play guitar now to form a band.

  • @XxRioTxNinJAxX Yeah same here, though I haven't found any other grunge/rock lovers so it's good to know there is at least 1 other one besides me.

  • @KristinNirvana we need to some how get a hold of all of the grunge community that still exist or is atleast aware and a true fan and re-unite or unite somewhere and get the movement going strong again!

  • @7kole4 That would be perfect. If only I knew how to do that. There are still a lot of the origional grunge bands going in Seattle, and I went there last year and saw a few guys with long hair and flannel, so maybe it isn't all dead. All we need is to give that generation some support and have kids getting into it and older people getting back into it, or at least make aware the people who never left it, like you said.

  • @KristinNirvana i was born in 92' so im kind of a late bloomer when it comes to Grunge but i was listening to it when i was really young but didnt pick back up on it untill a few years ago when i heard the tunes and recognised them! id love to get a good movement going again, it seems though alot of the kids my age are into this new sound called "dubstep"... its a techno rip off and all of the artist sound the same.

  • @7kole4 I was born in '92 also, and you're very lucky to have listened to it when you were little as I only found out about it 6 1/2 years ago, though of course I heard it around when I was little but no one introduced me to it, and I recognized it when I discovered it all too. Yeah, I hate how all the kids of our generation like what's new just because it is so, I've been hating bad music since '98, I hated pop like Britney Spears etc., so I hope I do get to move to Seattle and play grunge.

  • @KristinNirvana Before the Sex Pistols, there was Alex. The Sensational Alex Harvey Band. Alex was a punk & grunge before anyone ever thought

  • @MrBlasticus Alex sure was good... but punk was born before then, and its name was Alice Cooper, in September 1969... closely followed by the Stooges :)

  • @ZarquonFillibuster Alice was actually influenced by the MC5, who were around even before the Stooges. As for Alex. He was considered a punk in the early 60's, his dress was right outta the 90's grunge scene, 30 years before anyone knew it was grunge.

  • @MrBlasticus I am sorry - my knowledge of Alex in the 60s was as a blues/jazz kinda guy. I was not aware he had his 'Sensational' attitude before 1972 :)

As for MC5 - thanks for pointing out this band to me. Your point is valid and I shall be checking them out...

  • Does anybody know what guitar Arm's playing here?

  • @MyNirvana101 I think its the Hagstrom III, such an awesome guitar I want one so bad haha

  • Nirvana and Mudhoney were Punk bands. And played whatever they wanted. Bleach is pretty Metal, Nevermind something like Pop Punk. In Utero pretty Indie / Punk. This is like Garage Rock song. Pearl Jam Hard Rock. AiC Hard Rock / Alt. Metal. Soundgarden also. If Grunge meant something musically, i think slow song like Black Hole Sun, Heart Shpd Box, Down in A Hole. Cause those songs nor metal, nor Punk.

  • @srekazinskas I read the other day a guy saying, that there was only one way to be grunge. 1- Be from Seattle and from the 90's. I don't think that's true, i think that you can come from Tokio and be grunge, what matters is your grunge spirit, don't you think???

  • @ZizzleChadizzle Ya, I have to agree with you. Look up the band Violent Soho they are a new 'grunge' band. They have the spirit of grunge.

  • @ZizzleChadizzle Well to me Grunge was 1.Guitar sound 2. Lyrics and attitude (nihilistic) 3. Seattle (but L7 were originally from L.A and they are pretty Grunge / Alt. Metal.) Actually a Punk band Fang and The Wipers could classify as Grunge. I listened recently to Fang's album Landshark and Nirvana sounded pretty much like those guys.

  • @srekazinskas

The wipers were a great influence in grunge, but they arent grunge.

  • mudhoney.

    ugly nirvana's brother

  • Mudhoney RULES! in the Grunge

  • I love this dude, dude

  • Heal The pain....

    Great Great sound : D

  • @peopleshit144

I read that to the tune of Let it Slide haha.

  • Best Seattle musician? Jimi Hendrix

  • @wflowers321 Fuck yeah.

  • @wflowers321 I have to disagree and go with Layne Staley.

  • @wflowers321 NO WAY MAN. JERRY CANTRELL

  • @AIC2374 Agreed completely. Alice was the best of all the Seattle bands. I was just jokin around

  • @wflowers321 YEAH!1WOO

  • @wflowers321 Eddie

  • @wflowers321 kurt was dipshit

  • @wflowers321 then its nirvana

  • @wflowers321 Layne Staley

  • @wflowers321 jimi is from new york

  • @MultiAbcboy nope...hes from seattle.

  • @wflowers321 suck a meat cleaver jimi was to weak to handle alchohol LOL

  • @SythDarKProductions dude, he died because he was too weak to handle alcohol AND 9 sleeping pills. it's not as easy as you make it sound.

  • @SythDarKProductions I take it you know nothing about good music and probably think the spice girls play instruments.

  • @7kole4 you can play the skin flute fairley well

  • @7kole4 lol hav u evr seen a vagina bet ur gay go play justin bieber go to hell butthole god is sending u 2 hell

  • @SythDarKProductions Annnnnd look how hard you TRY TO BE PUNK, you're a fucking WANNABE. I listen to better music than you, you're probably a dumbass who wants Punk and Grungey type music to be popular again, when everyone knows that theres still awesome music its just underground the way it started out and was always meant to be. Ive played with and fucked way more pussy than you will ever see, i smelled more queef than your poser ass will ever smell. I hope God sends me to hell. GOD IS GAY.

  • @SythDarKProductions You're gullible enough to believe in "god", bwuahahahahahahaha.

  • @7kole4 this isant about god you nazi fucking god hater i hope you get your hairless sack mutilated in a horrible fire.

  • @SythDarKProductions AWWWwwwhhhhh' is somebody butt hurt? Go hold your bible:P Annnnnnd I hope you get some dignity one day, i bet the people around your town call you "ButtPlugg" hahahahahah bwwwwuahahahahah:P

  • @7kole4 bro fuck you dude thats not fucking cool my anal fetish is completely normal i bet your the one who jerks off to it and never gets ass, ive beenface to face with some moons and and have not you you looseroo

  • @SythDarKProductions unfortunately I get TOO MUCH pussy, sometimes so much to where i literally have skin falling off my penis..... But thats something you'd know nothing about, you fudge packers are only aware of whiping poop mixed with cum off your little penis.

  • @7kole4 ur a fucking queer

  • @patrickmcdonald123 oh ya man you know it butt plugg

  • @SythDarKProductions obviously you have never read anything on Jimi Hendrix, those 9 sleeping pills he took were equivelant to about 30 in America. shut the fuck up. they WERE NOT off the wall Tylenol PM's or anything... they were a high dosed prescribed medication for people with serious sleeping problems, and they were not prescribed to Jimi.

why dont you do everyone a favor and take the same amount of pills and kill yourself.

  • @wflowers321 Best musician in this UNIVERSE? JIMI HENDRIX.

  • @wflowers321 Buzz Osbourne

  • anyone that matters are from Seattle, fact.

  • some one should make a cover for this song

  • Comment removed

  • 1:00 A perfect face

  • Don`t you just love how they don`t lip sync with the utmost accuracy in this vid?

  • WTF? More than half these songs aren't even Mudhoney.

  • whooooaaaahooooooohaaahhhhhhhooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i think grunge is a perfect describing word for the way this heavy alternative sound is, the chunky distorted guitars and muddy crazed vocals. its great, so y we gotta fight about it. it is wat it is

  • i hate when people says grunge music and talks bout alice in chains, nirvana and pearl jam...what do they share musically talking? they are totally different in maaany aspects

  • @SnakesBlues Yeah....but they are still grunge bands are they not? I don't see what your getting at here.

  • @MrHello435222

yes but musically they dont share a damn, they kinda share ideals or attitudes but no musical aspects,at least not many

  • @SnakesBlues yeah, they're totally different...cause Pj pisses and rapes on every single one of them, fact

  • @theachtungtree - "that's just, like, your opinion, man." - the Dude,

  • @PieceofMindmusic yeah...you're right...fuck life...fuck me, i don't care anymore about grunge, i'm into Coltrane and all that shit

  • @theachtungtree - right on, Coltrane is great! I think my favoire jazz artist is either him Miles or Sun Ra. Ornette Coleman is pretty great too.

  • @PieceofMindmusic dude you're officially awesome...first person i've met on these kinda vids who's into people like coltrane, ornette or miles....that's pretty rad, rock on...jazz on or whatever, jeje. ps: don't get me wrong..."grunge" is great too, my comment was meant to be "punk"

  • @theachtungtree - Thanks! punk rock is certainly my favorite style of music because i also largely agree with the morals of it, but yeah i'd say I like at least one artist from every type of music out there. Except maybe prog rock, I'm still trying to find an artist that genre that i REALLY can get into.

  • @PieceofMindmusic prog rock blows man...Jimmy Page once said that prog rock can get through your nerves a bit with "i'm really perfect at everything" and told some mag....i don't know which one....anyway he said "jethro dull"...ajajaja

  • @theachtungtree gahhhh jethro tull is the worsttttt.

  • @PieceofMindmusic actually...all of them suck HARD, hahahaha

  • @theachtungtree yeah, true hahaha X]

  • @theachtungtree Defining Prog only with Jethro Tull doesn't do you any good. Listen to some King Crimson, that stuff was mad. Just because you don't like one band of a genre you don't know that much about anyway, doesn't mean that the genre blows.

  • @sickcellmate well...now that you mention them...i believe there are some pretty sweet king krimson tunes, their second album comes to mind BUT the band has been categorised as progressive rock even though they dealed with diverse styles such as jazz, folk and hard rock...you can't pigeon hole them only as prog rock imo

  • @PieceofMindmusic try ska look up the skankaroos

  • @PieceofMindmusic

Alice In Chains, Melvins, Green River look em up

  • @Chickenweng - I know those bands but I only really like the last two. I seen the Melvins three times, one of those times sharing the stage with Green River at the Showbox, and got to meet Dale afterwards. He's one funny mother!

  • @PieceofMindmusic thats awesome!!!

  • @7kole4 it was totally awesome!! the moshing was so intense that all my musckles ached by the end of the show ahah xD it was really cool seeing the Melvins play their orginal hardcore punk setlist too, fromt eh Mangled demos of '83.

  • @PieceofMindmusic I am jelouse:(

  • @Chickenweng Alice in Chains fucking rock but i only like their earlier stuff when Mike Starr was still apart of the band..

    R.I.P Mike and Layne

  • @7kole4 AiC suck.

  • @OlympiaMusicTV to you... i dont like some of their stuff. but there early stuff when Mike Starr was around was awesome.

  • @7kole4 Hmm, you know, if they would be for example from Minnesota, not Washington, they wouldn't be so much popular and on "grunge wave". This band made a grunge career only because they're from Seattle.

  • @OlympiaMusicTV Then how come Stone Temple Pilots got labeled as ''grunge''?
