I understand shortening some things when you are in a hurry but most people have such improper grammar and spelling it's a disgrace. Here's what I always say to "k"

K? K what? The letter before "L" and after "J"? Is this some kind of alphabet game where I'm supposed to tell you a word starting with K? Of course, since we're texting, maybe this is some kind of abbreviation. Umm, in "JK", the K stands for kidding. Is your reply "kidding?" Or K as in potassium? Do you want some Special K for breakfast? Oh, maybe you mean k/o. As in, I can knock you out, and feed you to the hungry sharks? There's a K in sharks.

This is funny. But, on a more serious note, I hate it when people try to have full on conversations with me over texts. Technology has made everything so impersonal nowadays. If it's important or lengthy just call me and tell me. Have you noticed how much more brave people are when texting or messaging...aaah the internet. This topic is dumb. If I were a mean person, I'd respond by saying something like "One-letter texters are still giving you one more letter than you deserve." But I'm going to take the high road and argue that people are often in the middle of something and can't write an elaborate response. When I'm not busy, I type out text messages in complete sentences, which include punctuation and capitalization of the first word. Gasp! Who does that?

A better rant would be one against sentence fragments.
