I enjoy this version. There is melancholy in the touch of the pianist and I love Anne Sofie von Otter's voice. I'm a really lousy pianist; I could never play this way and to me both versions are good. Different but both good.

I AGREE COMPLETELY. The ensemble with Bartoli and her pianist on her recording is HEAVENLYl. THis pianist here, like I said takes too many liberties and doesn't have the finesse that it takes to make something this sublime come off the page. Still, a wonderful job to all! THank you for posting.

Bartolis version is way better not only because its Cecilia but the pianist was so much more connected to the effect and mood of this peice. It was a duet not a solo.

I adore von Otter's voice in this, but I prefer the pianist's lighter touch in the Bartoli version.
