The more refined sound on FTR is simply that; refined and smoother, HCDR is heavier than the previous albums, but still classicaly influenced. Now AYDY, that album is kinda tricky to describe, in my oppinion it is more of a straight-forward, kick your ass, kick your face type album, not quite as much guitar pyrotechnics but a good album nontheless.

I like this new thrashier(?) type sound they have goin, now don't get me wrong I love Bodom's older stuff like Hatebreeder, Follow the Reaper, and Hate Crew Death Roll, the melodic classical influenced stuff on HB is one of my favorite types of metal and the lyrical content on that album is rather interesting.
