However, that is where the problem lies. We don't know how good either of these drivers were. V6 or not, you could possibly put different drivers in each of the cars and have totally different outcomes. There are to many kids on here that think if one type of car beats another, it will always beat it.

No, its a turbocharged 2 liter with 260 hp and 260 ft/lbs. If that was a v6 stang, then that was a base non-turbo solstice. My Sky Redline (same car as a GXP Solstice) easily pulls the new Mustang GT at speed, and I have yet to lose to one on the track (not to say that I wont get beaten by one). 300hp and 4000lbs (mustang gt) or 260hp and 3000lbs (GXP), you do the math.

It is possible to beat the mustang if the Solstice is the turbo charged 260 HP model. Although the Mustang has 300 HP, but its heavy weight takes away a lot of HP per pound. In addition, HP on wheel is more important than hp in engine. Solstice probably has better HP on wheel because of its light weight and better transmation.

as for the v6 part...the 05-09 s197 v6 runs high 9's to low 10's stock in the 1/8th so it's not surprising. Maybe you should know the opponents car more before you spout off nonsense

Also, my comment was after this video was taken, and after I had stage II put on making around 300horse and running the 1/8 mile in 8.1. So yeah, I can take stock mustangs bud...I'm not spouting off nonsence. And that V6 that I raced could only run a best of 9.7 with quite a few things done.
@6erWAvengance We've run several 08 GT's in the 8th, and none of them faired better than a 9.4. We had a Foose that managed a 9.3, but that was about it. By comparison, our GTO's generally run 8.9 and 8.8 at this track.
