joder....me he quedado sin palabras,yo tambien soy buen dibujante(aunque solo de bichos, pero no biene al caso)pero tu,tu eres la leche, eres increible, enserio tio, eres un maestro, muchas gracias por colgarlo
Sorry for not responding Kevinbrok, I sometimes forget to check my youtube account. I'm using a Wacom Intuos 2, 9x12 inch tablet. I had done a few pieces with the mouse early on but it KILLS YOUR HAND. It's how I ended up with Tendinitis which even 5 years later still bothers me from time to time.
Yeah I use a Wacom bamboo tablet. Thats sweet now I know how your tearing it up. :) Man thats a bummer about the tendinitis glad its getting better though.
Thanks for all the kind words guys. I try to answer questions when I can, I just forget to check the comments (but I reset it to notify me when someone leaves a comment again).
To me it looked good enough after two minutes already. I guess that's what happens to me when I'm arty, I'm done in half an hour and I spend the next week trying to figure out what to add.
Basically I use the [ and ] shortcut keys to shrink or enlarge a brush I'm using much quicker, and then I have the double click button on the pen set to be the color dropper. The wacom pen is set to a firm pressure sensitivity and the brush opacity setting is always on when I paint.
*sigh* It's times like this I feel like I'm waisting my time as an artist. Very nice. Though, this is all fantasy and you can pretty much do what you want. Do you have any vids where you color humans... preferably women?
You could just use a mouse, but it won't have the pressure sensitivity. It would probably cause more strain on your hand if you used a mouse for an extended period of time. That's what causes tendinitis and carpal tunnel for some artists.
wow this is great how long have u been doin this? ive been doin this kinda stuff for like 2 years but the detail u achieve is much more advanced than my stuff
christismellow- I'm actually going to have a workshop tutorial at the end of this month in issue #023 of ImagineFX Magazine and there will be a time laps video showing the process. IFX provided the video recording device which is how I'm making these, it's called Camtasia.
Millaz07- Thanks, it's Photoshop CS2, I'm using a wacom intuos2 9 x 12 inch tablet and just have windows theme set to the original default in case you're wondering.
Awe! I love the creatures, they're actually really cute!
Also, this video was really inspiring to me on how I can improve my digital painting skills.

Thanks,
They are all my own original designs, none of these are from games or anywhere else, just personal artwork.

@MikeCorriero i draw completely from my imagination, like you, but it never works out like your paintings!!

nice painting and good use of the textured brushes.
when youre painting, do you use the tip pressure more so for the brush size or opacity..or both combined?
I have difficulty getting the smooth transition you show.

cool, that makes more sense now. I managed to find the setting for the firmness control..helps a lot.
